True. I fell a sense of rising when you fight them. When you enter the high wall you see that big ass castle and you think "damn that's gigantic" and only on the end of the journey, after overcoming every challenge and climbing that giant building, that you find yourself there. It's, for me, the pinnacle of ds3 and the music is very reminiscent of that.
Easily the best fight in the base game of ds3. They actually feel like real people instead of a boss at the end of the fog, and the ost is very climactic and tragic. It feels like more of a final boss than SoC. Not saying SoC is bad because that boss is phenomenal as well.
@@bigsmall2842 I would probably say the Abyss Watchers are my favorite. DS3 was my first souls game so when people say it’s too easy I don’t agree, but that’s since it’s my first souls game.

I really like it but I only like the first phase, it's unique, fitting and just perfect. Second phase is just a way worse version of Gwyn's theme for me
What Elden Ring really nailed with its boss themes were its transitions into different phases. Some start up again from the beginning, but ones without a phase change cutscene like Radahn and Placidusax have bombastic entrances that further the climactic nature of many of Elden Ring's bosses. Even with a cutscene, the opening notes or chants for Skyrim Godrick, Daddy Loux, or Rotussy Malenia before their scripted attack just changes the entire battle's tone and tempo and psyches you up for another round.
unfortunately their transitions outside of the game are horrible. the music will just stop completely, and then start the new part separately. it's like there's an entire blank space where the transition should be. very very poorly done transitions. but they work fine in game. kinda annoying when a song seems like it's pausing and taking a break when you're listening to it outside of the game.
What I really love about Gehrman's theme is how well it reflects his character arc. The way the music loops for some time with fake build ups really reflects the misery and monotony of his existence in the dream, but at the same time gives hope, because with every build up there is hope of a climax, hope that something will change. When you free him from the dream, this hope has finally been fulfilled
personally would've also put the Abyss Watchers should be here but I absolutely agree Ludwigs is the best. And I'm glad to see appreciation of the Godskin theme
A Hot Take: I have to say lichdragon fortisax might have a top 3 theme in all of souls. I think on top of the amazing landscape, epic storytelling and out of the world bosses, the music plays such a vital part of Bloodborne. Some of those themes are some of the most incredible arrangements that I've heard beyond just gaming. Ludwig is simply stunning. Really appreciated your analysis on the final battle. Was also at a 100 hour journey and it felt as though the music welcomed me in the second phase. Really great video love the content!
For me, my top ten are are: 10. Pontiff Sulyvahn --- The theme really fits the place and the boss. Having the lonely choirs right at the beginning until more instruments start playing where you can already feel that this guy did something bad, it doesn't sounds like innocent church-like tunes ... they are accompanied with these feeling of something evil which is completely released when phase two starts ... 9. Godfrey, the First Elden Lord/Hoarah Loux, Warrior --- The fact that you can hear the noble and awesome theme of an Elden Lord in phase one, until it changes into a chaotic and almost primal piece of music in phase two is just sooo amazing 8. Mohg, Lord of Blood --- This track feels like a classical/baroque piece combined with evil epicness, like you would fight the devil itself ... Just badass 7. Twin Princes --- Basically that was Nightwalk already said in his video 6. Darkeater Midir --- Underrated boss OST. The way MIdir's bestiality as a dragon and his tragedy witht the abyss at the same time is displayed is just pure heaven + the best dragon fight in the series 5. Godskin Apostle --- Epic as hell, one of the best bangers in the game + same thing as Sulyvahn's theme 4. The Final Battle --- Having the final boss theme as the main menu theme is such a great touch I just love it 3. Soul of Cinder --- Okay, I'm goota be honest. I literally was paralyzed as phase 2 started. After playing DS1 right before and hearing the well-known melody with such an epic build up ... I just couldn't do something anymore that I just sat in my chair and let the Soul of Gwyn slap me to death ... 2. Abyss Watchers --- Okay, that one is maybe a little bit biased, but the tragedy you can hear in this track is soo cool 1. Slave Knight Gael --- Literally ALWAYS goosebumps once phase 3 starts. It really feels like a battle at the end of world and I can't describe why, it's just such a masterpiece Couldn't include any Bloodborne track, because I didn't play it yet and I try to avoid especially OST spoilers as much as I can heh
Godfrey has a great chorus but the chorus only plays one time at the very beginning I didn't really like that . I wish the chorus would repeat and intensify at times instead of playing the chorus once and than make the whole rest of the song completely different . I wish the chorus would repeat and than change around the halfway point for phase 2
Definitely agree on the living failures ost, it’s extremely underrated and gives you the feel of cosmic grandeur more so than any boss theme in the game in my opinion
One of the most memorable moments on all of gaming for me is when I first hit that Ludwig transition... easily deserving of number 1. Get chills everytime I hear it
If I were to have added another from elden ring to this list, and it was close, it would have been fortissax most likely. People would have rioted with no godskin apostles though… the second half of Radahn is other worldly though
John 3:16 NIV For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 🙏!!!!!
Exactly the same, ds3 made me pay attention to the music and apperciate it more often. And when I went back to ds1 I realized how many good soundtracks I missed.
I really think Fortissax's Theme deserve some recognition, it is the best OST for me. Too bad the fight is too fast to experience it, you have to listen to it separately to hear the best parts (even tho the whole song is perfect by itself). I personally would put Fortissax's theme on the top 1, over Ludwig's.
I'm surprised the Godfrey theme wasn't mentioned xD His intro gives me goosebumps every time, when the theme starts after he says "Unpon my name as Godfrey, the first Elden Lord" it's so epic! The phase transition is also amazing, i was more excited fighting him than Radagon/Elden Beast, mainly because of his theme! Edit: Artorias theme from DS1 is another masterpiece for me, i'm glad i did some research about his lore before playing DS1 and when i went to fight him and that song started playing i was almost crying at some point lol
Thank you so much for this list, as a massive EldenSoulsBourneShadowsDie music enjoyer i really loved that you allowed enough of the track to be played within the video so the viewer could enjoy your reasoning and then take in the track without having to open it up ourselves ! Banger list
A few days ago, if you had asked me what my favorite song in Soulsborne was, my answer would have been Lawrence, without question. Upon further listening however, I have to give it to Lichdragon Fortissax. From the opening, the choir blasts you with the full-frontal fury of a dragon waging an impossible war on death itself for the sake of his friend. The organ twists its way across every key imaginable, completely selling the insanity on display, before phase two hammers in the futility of Fortissax's quest. Godwyn is gone, and no amount of rage will bring him back. The second phase drives home the sorrow and madness from phase one tenfold. It's like a disgusting mix of Lawrence the First Vicar, Nightmare King Grimm and Davy Jones' theme from the Pirate's franchise, and I think that's fantastic. Due to Fortissax's theme (and many others), I will defend Elden Ring's soundtrack to the grave. Great list as per usual! I've listened to your Mohg cover so damn much lol, and I really appreciate how you let the themes play out enough to get a genuinely good listen to them 😊
Fortissax theme is super underrated! Its definitely my favourite piece to come out of elden ring. Your description of it is makes it seem even more powerful
I actually love the Genichiro Ashina theme from Sekiro, while not as epic or as orchestral as most other Soulsborne themes, it captures the moment of the battle perfectly
Awesome list! I love every single one of these tracks! Your breakdown of all of them was perfect. Since my regular list would have a lot of overlap with your own, I have some underrated (?) tracks: "Ebrietas, Daughter of the Cosmos" / Bloodborne (visually, something about this Lovecraftian cosmic horror opening up a rift into space itself while this track hits its Phase 2 peak emotionally moves me for some reason... before she kills me lol) "Orphan of Kos, Phase 1" / Bloodborne (the Phase 1 version of this track is so otherworldly and hauntingly beautiful yet mournful, and is such a brilliant contrast with the frenetic speed and violent aggression of this Cosmic being and its rage) "Living Failures" / Bloodborne (they seriously didn't need to go so hard on the OST for this boss, of all bosses) "Godfrey, the First Elden Lord" / Elden Ring (both phases so perfectly capture the tone of the fight and the duality of Godfrey as a character. In particular, the second phase is so unlike anything in all of Souls OSTs, with almost a "Rock" vibe to it that perfectly matches the beast that has been unleashed within Godfrey) "Divine Dragon" / Sekiro "Father Owl" / Sekiro "Emma, the Gentle Blade" / Sekiro "Maiden Astraea" / Demon's Souls (the OG version, the Remake OST just doesn't hit the same) "Aldia, Scholar of the First Sin" / Dark Souls 2 "Dancer of the Boreal Valley" / Dark Souls 3
Definitely, ds2’s soundtrack is criminally underrated and never talked about when discussing best souls music, I would argue the burnt ivory king, sir alonne, king vendrick etc… should be on the list
I've been doing a tier list of all the fromsoft game's songs and ds2's themes are pretty repetitive (imo) Aava's theme, Ivory king's theme, blue smelter demon's them, and sir alonne's theme are absolute bangers though. also gerhman's theme and Gael's theme should've been higher, they're way better than radagon's
I'm a bit disappointed that Fortissax and the Ancestor Spirits couldn't make the cut here, but they have excellent themes drowning in a sea of masterpieces so I can't complain too much really
bloodborne is just the embodiment of perfection in video games design, everything about that game is just pure perfection that everything else should be measured to.
The thing that makes Ludwig stand out is the turning point half-way through the fight. Not only do you get a nice little cinematic that interludes the next phase, it totally changes the entire experience. The music gets turned up to 11, Ludwig goes from a feral monstrosity to a fallen knight wielding a giant sword and even his weaknesses change because the game considers him an entirely different character, so you have to adapt to a whole different fight. Simply brilliant.
I was always a fan of blood starved beast. It explodes as soon as the fight begins scaring you and alarming you as the beast notices you. Then the strings start low but fast as the beast slowly approaches you. Finally the pace of the song grows and the rest of the orchestra kicks in emulating the terrifying and frantic encounter against a beast that you've found yourself in.
Tsukasa Saitoh, Cris Velasco, Motoi Sakuraba and Koji Kondo have built my love and appreciation for orchestral ensembles. The emotion that these composers can integrate in their sound is incredible.
Hell yeah, I feel exactly the same way about the Dark Souls 3 main menu theme. I have to sit there and listen for a while every time, it feels wrong if I don’t!
Normally for lists like this I'd consider it a no brainer for tracks like Soul of Cinder/Gwyn, Maiden Astraea and Abyss Watchers to be there (as well as Gael and Ludwig, obviously). Having seen this list though, it's really made me appreciate even more so (which I didn't think was possible) just how incredible Fromsoft are at making memorable and epic musical pieces and the fights to go with them. I can fully appreciate all the ones on here that I wouldn't necessarily have picked. Big credit to them for having such an incredible listing of tracks.
Absolutely. It's impossible to have them all covered when they're just so damn good. I should have just made it a top 20 in the first place but oh well

@@chanderule605 Sekiro does have the best combat and bosses but bloodborne does have a better envoriment, story, atmophere, map, locations, combat diversity, enemy design. While Sekiro is amazing game too it only beats Bloodborne in few categorys. So overall Bloodborne is a better game than Sekiro. And you need to understand we all have right to our opinion and Bloodborne to me is a better game. If Sekiro was better than Bloodborne it would have a DLC too.
Sir! Thank you for placing Ludwig’s as first place. That music was a thing of beauty. I died 100+ from Ludwig. Never once didn’t enjoy this Masterpiece with all the continuous pain of that horseface obliterating my dignity.
My number 1 and 2 are your number 2 and 3. Great video as usual, really interesting to hear someone who's got such a passion for music do this list because I don't have that much knowledge about what makes a good OST. I just know which ones I like the sound of.
I think all of your picks were sublime on their own deserving way. Each and everyone of them have their undebniable personality and presence that make them memorable whether that nature comes from the fact the music reflects the boss's combat, lore or appearance/allegiance perfectly, the atmosphere that creates enhances the expereince or even makes you trascend or because of all of the former. There are so many memorable and fantastic pieces of OST in the SoulsBorneKiroRing franchise that It's nigh impossible to decide for a few 10. Thanks once again for making such great content Night.
All of these are bangers as for almost every OST in FromSoft games, but I really enjoy Regal Ancestor Spirit (Elden Ring) and Mergo's Wet Nurse (Bloodborne) just because they're very different from the rest of the soundtracks. I'd say Regal Ancestor Spirit is probably my favorite OST in Elden Ring.
Orphan is great really captures the chaos of the battle however it just isn't really catchy like some of the other entries on the list . I. The fight itself.its fantastic
This list is definitely one of the hardest to make simply because of how incredible the soundtrack in these games are. However I'm glad that Twin Princes and Laurence were included in this list, they deserved it.

twin princes, rykards theme, friede and ariandel, ludwig, ds1 menu theme have to be my all time favorites. ds3 menu, gael, godfrey and radahns theme are honorable mentions. surprised no one mentioning friede and ariandel tbh.
What I love about the Soul series's music as a whole is they capture the vibes of the early 9th-11th Century Catholic music with many themes directly inspired by Gregorian Chants. Of course I'm not saying they are as good as some of the best OG European composers like Pèrotin for the 12th Century, but still they have their own charm
They also have heavy dose of baroque and late 19th century styles. You could play some of the organ-heavy pieces in a church and the congregation wouldn't know they're not a lesser known classical piece.
What makes the Twin Princes track even better IMO is the fact that the choir only comes in in phase 2 since Lorian is mute which is a super cool detail
Great to see Twin Princes getting love ❤ among my favourites are also Aava, Sister Friede, Artorias, Dancer of the Boreal Valley and Ebrietas, elegant and unusual tracks
Ok, so the fact that noboby pointed this out is surprising, so imma be the one to do it. Radagon's theme is just an updated version of false king Allant's and i flat out refuse to hear otherwise to that fact
Gehrman would be number one for me, with Maria closely second. Bloodborne’s whole soundtrack is amazing but these two capture the emotion of their fights perfectly.
A little late and maybe a weird take on it all, but these songs just bring out hidden emotions in me that I never quite understood, from grief to anger, I couldn’t help but feel moved by these tracks. I never really paid much attention to it especially while playing the soulsborne games (focusing on not dying lol) but this video was an awkward eye opener lol
It‘s a bit disappointing that not a single DS1 song is on this list - I think they‘re even the best. Ornstein & Smough and Gwyn ofcourse, but also Artorias, Sif and Nito just have such great tracks. But DS3 has so great tracks too, I think Midir and Nameless King are WAY too underrated, they‘d be in my top 10 tracks for sure
Yea. Seems to be a lot of hype for the new stuff here. Demons souls OG has one of my favorite songs (One who craves souls) along with the rest of the OST and D1 songs are great and most of the new games pull from those baselines. I will say that “The First Hunter” is top 3 for me easy
I think it just has to do with the mastering, a lot of the songs sound gamey relative to the grand orchestral stuff from Bloodborne till now. I definitely agree that it had some of the most memorable, impactful themes though
I've re listened to this video maybe over 20 times at work. Your voice is really easy to listen to, and I love how passionate and well elaborative you are. I hope you keep making videos for a long time :)
10:38 I love For The Dark Soul more than Gael’s theme. There is a ps4 theme that loops the song and I’ve loved it ever since. Simple repetition and elegance.

Gehrman theme is legendary, the build up to it is hypnotizing that you almost forget you're fighting him
What I really love about Gehrman's theme is how well it reflects his character arc. The way the music loops for some time with fake build ups really reflects the misery and monotony of his existence in the dream, but at the same time gives hope, because with every build up there is hope of a climax, hope that something will change. When you free him from the dream, this hope has finally been fulfilled
Dancer of the Boreal Valley theme is quite unique for being a waltz. Matches perfectly fluid dance-like movement of the boss.

For me, my top ten are are:
9. Godfrey, the First Elden Lord/Hoarah Loux, Warrior --- The fact that you can hear the noble and awesome theme of an Elden Lord in phase one, until it changes into a chaotic and almost primal piece of music in phase two is just sooo amazing
8. Mohg, Lord of Blood --- This track feels like a classical/baroque piece combined with evil epicness, like you would fight the devil itself ... Just badass
7. Twin Princes --- Basically that was Nightwalk already said in his video
6. Darkeater Midir --- Underrated boss OST. The way MIdir's bestiality as a dragon and his tragedy witht the abyss at the same time is displayed is just pure heaven + the best dragon fight in the series
5. Godskin Apostle --- Epic as hell, one of the best bangers in the game + same thing as Sulyvahn's theme
4. The Final Battle --- Having the final boss theme as the main menu theme is such a great touch I just love it
2. Abyss Watchers --- Okay, that one is maybe a little bit biased, but the tragedy you can hear in this track is soo cool
1. Slave Knight Gael --- Literally ALWAYS goosebumps once phase 3 starts. It really feels like a battle at the end of world and I can't describe why, it's just such a masterpiece
Couldn't include any Bloodborne track, because I didn't play it yet and I try to avoid especially OST spoilers as much as I can heh
Honestly ost spoiling can tell a lot about the game and the lore
Plin plin plon
Godfrey has a great chorus but the chorus only plays one time at the very beginning I didn't really like that . I wish the chorus would repeat and intensify at times instead of playing the chorus once and than make the whole rest of the song completely different . I wish the chorus would repeat and than change around the halfway point for phase 2
Hey man I think you would adore Bloodborne! It’s not only my favourite souls game but my favourite game ever. It’s literally perfect!
@@SimonWh0 I'm about to get it heh. And I will probably love it as well
The Living Failures and Orphan of Kos songs are also quite amazing, definitely deserving on honors. Such an amazing Lovecraftian mix into the tracks.
Definitely agree on the living failures ost, it’s extremely underrated and gives you the feel of cosmic grandeur more so than any boss theme in the game in my opinion
Maleina’s ost is just beyond good how sad and emotional the track is it’s beautiful ost
One of the most memorable moments on all of gaming for me is when I first hit that Ludwig transition... easily deserving of number 1. Get chills everytime I hear it
Two themes that really stood out for me from Elden Ring are Radahn and the second half of Maliketh, especially the strings in the end of the cutscene
Second half of radahn is so fucking beautiful, in thought one winged angel was my favourite boss theme until i heard that masterpiece
If I were to have added another from elden ring to this list, and it was close, it would have been fortissax most likely. People would have rioted with no godskin apostles though… the second half of Radahn is other worldly though
@@Nightwalk2 fortissax is amazing too, it goes so hard, on a side note listen to lanseaxx and then placidusax, its like theyre remixes of one another
Maliketh's second phase is so underappreciated.
The second half of radhan just commands respect and makes you feel like you're up against a living legend
Lichdragon Fortissax is my favourite soulsborne theme. It used to be Ludwig's of course but I think Fortissax' just takes the edge
Thank you

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 🙏!!!!!
Finally someone mentions this OST so underrated!
Dark souls three main menu is so genuinely amazing. It’s what made me start seriously listening and paying attention to music and video games.
YES
Easily the best
I'm surprised the Godfrey theme wasn't mentioned xD
His intro gives me goosebumps every time, when the theme starts after he says "Unpon my name as Godfrey, the first Elden Lord" it's so epic!
The Living Failures theme is fire. Even though they may be a mid tier boss, they have a top tier song.
Very true. That phase 2 transition :O
Me making an ost tire list:
Bloodborne: allow me to introduce myself
You owe an apology to Mohg now for calling him evil
As far as I understand, he still likely was haha. Not quite as evil but still
Thank you so much for this list, as a massive EldenSoulsBourneShadowsDie music enjoyer i really loved that you allowed enough of the track to be played within the video so the viewer could enjoy your reasoning and then take in the track without having to open it up ourselves ! Banger list
Thank you so much!
Excellent Video.
Excellent Choices.
Ludwig's OST will always be the GOAT OST in Soulsborne games for me❤️
It is just EPIC.
"Aah you were at my side all along, my true mentor my guiding moonlight"
@@youngishkarma7387 Totally agreed, I imagine it's due to how hidden the boss is. And thank you very much!
Because of this comment I went and listened to it. Sent it to my brother. Both agree this is a top 3 worthy theme for sure. Absolutely incredible.
@@connermayheu6759 Glad you two enjoyed it so much! I realized how good it was and sent it to my own brother too lmao
The soul of cinder transition into phase 2 will always give me chills
I have a habit to watch this video every two months. To remember what REAL music sounds like!
Lots of love
I can’t get enough of the soundtracks. They’re just too good. Cant wait for the DLC music!!!
Vordt is and will always be my favorite, I just remember my first time playing the game and having a feeling of terror when the choir started.
I actually love the Genichiro Ashina theme from Sekiro, while not as epic or as orchestral as most other Soulsborne themes, it captures the moment of the battle perfectly
Sekiro's ost is underrated
Man, I swear, Old Isshin OST is beyond sad imo, it defines the fight and shura path perfectly
Demon of hatred ost and divine dragon are amazing as well
Awesome list! I love every single one of these tracks! Your breakdown of all of them was perfect. Since my regular list would have a lot of overlap with your own, I have some underrated (?) tracks:
"Ebrietas, Daughter of the Cosmos" / Bloodborne (visually, something about this Lovecraftian cosmic horror opening up a rift into space itself while this track hits its Phase 2 peak emotionally moves me for some reason... before she kills me lol)
"Orphan of Kos, Phase 1" / Bloodborne (the Phase 1 version of this track is so otherworldly and hauntingly beautiful yet mournful, and is such a brilliant contrast with the frenetic speed and violent aggression of this Cosmic being and its rage)
"Living Failures" / Bloodborne (they seriously didn't need to go so hard on the OST for this boss, of all bosses)
"Godfrey, the First Elden Lord" / Elden Ring (both phases so perfectly capture the tone of the fight and the duality of Godfrey as a character. In particular, the second phase is so unlike anything in all of Souls OSTs, with almost a "Rock" vibe to it that perfectly matches the beast that has been unleashed within Godfrey)
"Divine Dragon" / Sekiro
"Father Owl" / Sekiro
"Emma, the Gentle Blade" / Sekiro
"Maiden Astraea" / Demon's Souls (the OG version, the Remake OST just doesn't hit the same)
"Aldia, Scholar of the First Sin" / Dark Souls 2
"Dancer of the Boreal Valley" / Dark Souls 3
Ornstein and Smough's theme and Nameless King's theme not being on here is a crime
The dark souls 3 main theme is my personal favorite video game song of all time
BB has the best soundtrack they ever made. You can’t change my mind. Also DS2 soundtrack is underrated!
I agree for sure
Definitely, ds2’s soundtrack is criminally underrated and never talked about when discussing best souls music, I would argue the burnt ivory king, sir alonne, king vendrick etc… should be on the list
@@hackingenious7 nothing but facts man I feel the same
nah i think dark souls 3 and elden ring are better.
Where plin plin plon?
Trapped in the Abyss
@@TotalyNotSatan lmao
bloodborne is just the embodiment of perfection in video games design, everything about that game is just pure perfection that everything else should be measured to.
If you measure other games to bloodborne you start to see other games as dog water
Nah
That guitar Cover of Mohg is absolutely amazing, I can't believe it.
Ludwig deserves that no. 1 spot, for sure, but Abyss Watchers, Soul of Cinder and Twin Princes are all very close.
Ludwig's theme is like a maddening waltz. It's so good.
Sitting 3 minutes in a Dark Souls 3 main menu is a very relatable vibe...
I should have just made it a top 20 in the first place but oh well
i started crying at 11:32 and thats only at number 7, man these games have excellent music

Facts
Earing Mogh being called pure evil now is funny
Bloodborne steals the show as it should be.
Bloodborne still proving why its the best game even after so many years.
Bro unironically believes BB is better than Sekiro
@@chanderule605 Sekiro does have the best combat and bosses but bloodborne does have a better envoriment, story, atmophere, map, locations, combat diversity, enemy design.
While Sekiro is amazing game too it only beats Bloodborne in few categorys. So overall Bloodborne is a better game than Sekiro.

Finally a music ranking where there’s commentary but they also give us time to listen to the music. Great vid
Sir! Thank you for placing Ludwig’s as first place. That music was a thing of beauty. I died 100+ from Ludwig. Never once didn’t enjoy this Masterpiece with all the continuous pain of that horseface obliterating my dignity.
The night and the dream... Were long
My number 1 and 2 are your number 2 and 3.
Ludwigs second phase soundtrack is absolutely my favorite ost of all time.
music in these games is always the biggest banger
All of these are bangers as for almost every OST in FromSoft games, but I really enjoy Regal Ancestor Spirit (Elden Ring) and Mergo's Wet Nurse (Bloodborne) just because they're very different from the rest of the soundtracks. I'd say Regal Ancestor Spirit is probably my favorite OST in Elden Ring.
So glad Dark souls 3 got so many spots on here, overall best composition in any FS game
To me Orphan of Kos takes the crown, understated yet so powerful!
Orphan is great really captures the chaos of the battle however it just isn't really catchy like some of the other entries on the list . I. The fight itself.its fantastic

twin princes, rykards theme, friede and ariandel, ludwig, ds1 menu theme have to be my all time favorites. ds3 menu, gael, godfrey and radahns theme are honorable mentions. surprised no one mentioning friede and ariandel tbh.
The quality of Fromsofts boss music never drops woth each game rhey release.
please apologize to mohg after you play the dlc
Still crazy to me how Ludwig is how they OPENED the dlc
Ludwig’s theme is a eargasm! Give me chills every single time!
Guess its safe to say Yuka Kitamura is the avatar of soulsborne music
Gehrman would be number one for me, with Maria closely second. Bloodborne’s whole soundtrack is amazing but these two capture the emotion of their fights perfectly.
A little late and maybe a weird take on it all, but these songs just bring out hidden emotions in me that I never quite understood, from grief to anger, I couldn’t help but feel moved by these tracks. I never really paid much attention to it especially while playing the soulsborne games (focusing on not dying lol) but this video was an awkward eye opener lol
My favorite will always be Soul of Cinder. The plin plin plon is really cool but my favorite part is the solo violin in the second phase.
It‘s a bit disappointing that not a single DS1 song is on this list - I think they‘re even the best. Ornstein & Smough and Gwyn ofcourse, but also Artorias, Sif and Nito just have such great tracks.
But DS3 has so great tracks too, I think Midir and Nameless King are WAY too underrated, they‘d be in my top 10 tracks for sure
agreed sif and midir are masterpieces
