I watched Rex a few times, last year or so. He seems like a likable young man who is Learning the ropes and making the usual mistakes. He got his CDL through prime and usually pulled a Food tanker, I think Syrup. One of his best was one time pumping off a load he had the hose wrong or The valves, something, anyway he back fed his trailer from the recievers tank until it started pouring out all over. Receiver was not impressed with the mess in lot. Had to hire clean up crew and I'm sure plenty of paperwork. I actually felt sorry for him. Been watching you since last year Subbed and liked. Don't usually comment, but this mega carrier BS hits me hard. Stay Safe out there Glad to see a update on Big Green Retired OTR Driver TGP
Thanks for the comment! Yeah man these guys that are learning trucking seem like they get views through their trial and error. Pretty cool they document it and show the good with the bad getting started doing this. We all learn everyday!
One Gerald To another Gerald , Ive been to Stugartt several times in the late 80s ,, got lost every damn time,, its easier to get around in LA than there,,,the only way to make money with a hopper is to have your own authority,,,i learned the hard way,,, Man i wish u luck,,, At 72 i still miss running hopper bottom,, except crossing Missouri scales ,those people are corperate fund raisers with an attitude,,,Take care bud,,,,,,,Gerald.
Oh man that thing looks rad! I backed up next to it the other day and I could see into your cab. I knew then I had to get me an air ride front end! You were there Thursday when I was! I hate I didn’t get a chance to hang out and shoot the bull!
I've watched that prime drivers videos before trucking with rex he's a lease operator who was pulling a tank for food grade. I've seen a few of these drivers leasing through prime I don't know how they do it. As long as they don't try the cutthroat of work for you or anyone else that's when the problems begin. I went through that back in the early 80s with cattle. Stay Safe Gerald keep the rubber down bud really enjoy your videos.🇺🇸👍
I remember back in late 80's early 90's j b hunt started pulling flatbed.i hauled a lot of steel back then,I was at Armco in Middletown and a couple of hunt drivers were dragged behind the office and got their butts handed to them.they cut the rates so bad it was sickening.
I HAD TO CRALL UNDERNEATH MY HOPPER AT AN OLD WOOD GRAINERY ELEVATOR FEED MILL ONCE TO OPEN THE HOPPERS. REALLY OLD PLACE AND TIGHT. I HAD A 102 INCH HOPPER.
I’d hate to be driving through a field in one of them prime trucks with a hopper on my back. Those trucks are geared tall as hell and super singles on top of it.
Gerald. That Rice loading job was a debacle. It look like. Prime puts up with a few of those for year. They’ll probably quit that’s a lot of downtime. Just my opinion. They probably don’t know what they’re jumping into.
Man I hear ya, its pretty sad the way things has changed, when you see things like this happen you know they are going to start cutting the rates, but hopfully they dont, next is that they are going to look for lumpers to unload the hoppers, but keep your head up and roll on!
Prime they got there foot in the door at the packing houses they got the refer bis from the meat packers because they have a big trailer pool and they need a company that can drop and hook hopper bottoms to load meat and bone meal rookies will pull in drop refer and hook up to the worst load they have ever hauled it wont last long your safe your customers love ya Be Safe
🤣🤣love soybeans.. ethanol, cool! yup! sharp semi! wow! that loading is a massive pain! gona run out of gas circling around! taco bell yup! there it is!🤣🤣🤣.solid ride. thanks Dude! take care!
Hello there Mr Gerald!😊!!!!!😊! Prime is hauling soybeans & corn in Midwest area. But,,it be sum or those steering wheel holders do something IDIOTIC @ SHIPPER or RECEIVER😊!!!! NO WORRIES ABOUT THEM THAT
Let's just say I'd rather had one of them steaks you were cooking it's been a bad week hope your parents are doing fine seeing your old girl and your Hopper made me smile
PRIME, PRIME, PRIME! LOL. They buy 20 hoppers and all the hopper truckers are loosing our minds! Lol. To those of us pullijg hoppers/walking floors/end dumps/belt trailers etc know that a mega carrier with 20 new hoppers aint worth even thinking about ciz we know Bulk hauling is so much more than trucking, you gotta load and unload your own trailer, know how to run other loading/unloading equipment sometimes... Prime is just hauling grain right now... all of us hopper operators know grain dont pay, sure we all haul a litttle during harvest or get in on a big bu contract once or twice a year, but its not sustainable. Thats what prime did, they got asked by a customer to move 100K+ bu of soybeans and they figured why not join all the other hoppers on the highway, their dispatchers and drivers will soon find out iys not as glorious as it looks!!! Lol. you gotta know what your doing to make a living pulling a hopper. Remmeber our customers dont like dealing with mega carrier B.S. anymore than drivers or we do!
Man I heard this week they order 400 day cabs at spring field freightliner and I saw a pic of a bunch of new hoppers at the Wilson plant with prime signs on them
@thedirtytrucker9633 very interesting, thnx for the Intel. Where did u see the prime hoppers? What state? How many rough guess? Did you say they bought 400 day cabs? It might be time for you to move west there good buddy! Lol. Come on out, we got great lanes! Independent O/O gonna have to stick together if this is true. Your a good man Dirty! Edit: I guess day cabs is a good sign there gonna stay within a couple hundred miles of their hub! I've found the most$ is hauling a little linger distance than most day cabbers can go is the sweet spot, kinda like you do. Home a few nights a week, in the sleeper a few nights a week. Sometimes stay out all week if it works out... can have some realky good weeks.
Hey Dirty Trucker this is Happy Jack Tanker Yanker, 30 plus yrs, drove for SII, Southern Ionics out of West Point, Miss.Let me tell U the whole time I was there when I would get to a plant 90 % of the time I was in and out of the plant in 1hr to hour and half. They do hire owner Operators , Shuttles Inc. out of Miss. they got Payed Real Good. I worked out of Baton Rouge, La. So there U go maybe make some Money $$. Okay Over and Out, just Waveing that Hand.🎉 Hey I am still going to get Rolling Stone to send U that Picture of his Truck With all the LIGHTS Ok . Hey Driver if l was able to get back into Driving, me I would get a Rock Bucket, Dump Bed.😊
Unfortunately they come in and cut the rate and when they realize they are not making the money they leave and we struggle because the shipper doesn’t want to pay the rate !!!
Prime found out about your no money in hopper bottom you been telling us about past two years 😉 Do you ever load or run into Bruce Oakley guys? There based in your area I believe?

Thanks Gerald! Man having your own authority is the only way to go if you got the right cinnections
@thedirtytrucker9633 connections and the politics , make you or break you, quick !
Especially in Stuttgart!
A LOT OF THE HOPPER GUYS CAME FROM THE FARMS LIKE ME AND WORKED THE HARVEST RUNS AS TEENAGERS
That’s right!
Hey Gerald. Saw the ole green truck at the body shop yesterday, my 379 is the one right outside the body shop with the hood off. Stand up 63”
Oh man that thing looks rad! I backed up next to it the other day and I could see into your cab. I knew then I had to get me an air ride front end! You were there Thursday when I was! I hate I didn’t get a chance to hang out and shoot the bull!
Boss man. Be careful with the vids not having your seat belt on. They will come after you just from the vids!! I’ve seen it several times!
The old 359 is a lap belt truck! I always worry about getting pulled over all the time

@@thedirtytrucker9633
That works 👍👍👍
All will DEFINITELY be ok,, Having Gr8 SERVICE & DIRECT CUSTOMERS & PERSONAL CONTACTS will ALWAYZ have an NICHE 4 us SMALL BUSINESSES!!!!!!!
Man that’s what makes my business!
A lot of the guys pulling hoppers over the road have pulled them on the farm before and have some skills getting in and out of tight spots
That’s right. The farm is a great place to learn
I remember back in late 80's early 90's j b hunt started pulling flatbed.i hauled a lot of steel back then,I was at Armco in Middletown and a couple of hunt drivers were dragged behind the office and got their butts handed to them.they cut the rates so bad it was sickening.
Man I remember those Armco days and going the Stoney ridge after getting loaded!!!
I HAD TO CRALL UNDERNEATH MY HOPPER AT AN OLD WOOD GRAINERY ELEVATOR FEED MILL ONCE TO OPEN THE HOPPERS. REALLY OLD PLACE AND TIGHT. I HAD A 102 INCH HOPPER.
Man there is an old feed meal around here that a 102 wide trailer will barely go into.
Love trucking with Rex! Good dude there.
I will have to check him out
He seems a hard workin guy just trying to get things done
I’d hate to be driving through a field in one of them prime trucks with a hopper on my back. Those trucks are geared tall as hell and super singles on top of it.

Yeah man. Things are slow. Reefer picks up and they will prob lay not focus on This as much
Hopefully they do pull out but I saw my first Prime Hopper around here lately along with the jb hunt ag services in my local elevator. . .
Just have to wait and see. In a soft saturated market it’s not a good time to see this
Prime is hiring heavy in the Indianapolis area.
I think they are wanting to grow it bigger than they lead on
I can tell you what prime can do. It something to do with yourself. 😅 Thank you for sharing
lol! Thank you!
Man I hear ya, its pretty sad the way things has changed, when you see things like this happen you know they are going to start cutting the rates, but hopfully they dont, next is that they are going to look for lumpers to unload the hoppers, but keep your head up and roll on!
Thanks man! It is what it is. I’m too young to retire and too old to start something new so we will wait and see
Prime they got there foot in the door at the packing houses they got the refer bis from the meat packers because they have a big trailer pool and they need a company that can drop and hook hopper bottoms to load meat and bone meal rookies will pull in drop refer and hook up to the worst load they have ever hauled it wont last long your safe your customers love ya Be Safe

Man that tank deal sounds like a good deal
I watch Rex too.
I’m going to have to watch him!
LED LIGHTS ARE GREAT.
They are great but they can make that glow like an incandescent.
Unfortunately they come in and cut the rate and when they realize they are not making the money they leave and we struggle because the shipper doesn’t want to pay the rate !!!
Facts!
What's your thoughts on Oakley trucking out of little rock?
Don’t know much about them. Seem to be a busy operation though
They took our jobs😂 love South Park
One of my favorites!!!
Me and Martin from trucking together use this phase all the time
👍
Prime been listening to you saying your making no money but continuing to pull it lol
That’s right. Never said I was smart😂
No chance! Hes okay but anyone else in prime inc doing hopper bottom coming in arkansas please go away haha
Man we will wait and see. The market is flooded and soft right now so let’s just see
Hi Dirty Trucker
What’s up man?
SOUNDS LIKE U CAN RUN OUT OF DRIVING HOURS JUST GETTING IN & OUT OF THAT FEED MILL ??? 😅😅😅
That’s a fact!
Wait until Swift and JB Hunt starts hauling corn
It will be a train wreck for sure. I can’t believe their log operation has went as good as it has around here
✌👌🤙👊👊💪💪
Hey don’t sell out to prime you got to be loyal to peterbilt asociation
