I have the same car. If there is any rust spot, it will be under the rock guards on the rear fenders. From the looks of the vid, you have a solid starter for a project! Good luck!
I have one that now has a Chev 350 small block, camero front end clip. Can't wait to see it chopped, as I almost went that way and think it will look super cool with a four inch chop. I am in Austin myself, heard you mention the hill country, looks of good finds in that area. Have fun and post updates.
Hope you checked the underneath before you did anything if the frame rotted your done ....don't chop it looks great the 49 to 52 Chevs are great clean looking cars when done right ....Good luck !
Hey man, how did you get the 12 volt system to work. I’m stumped at that. My wife says my electrical expertise is limited after I flip the wall switch. Please anyone help.
Fantastic looking car, great patina. Just has tones of character. I do like a nice chop, and that lead sled look, but for some reason i think this doesn't need choppin man. I think it looks great. If it were mine, i'd put some nice set of steel rims, painted bright red, that would look great offset against the bare steel of the body, and i'd lower it. Then i'd leave it. But hey, it's your project, you gotta go with how you see it in your head.
don't chop that car, seriously? Take another look at that original work of art it would be like putting a fake continental kit on the rear deck or those goofy louvers all over the hood, LITFA just enhance the beauty by doing what you're doing. Leave the patina or restore this classic. PLEASE!
Hell yea man i cant wait to get my own project im goin for a chevy fleetline rite now urs is nice starts straight body so far great project not a total mess i love it sorry to be nosey but how much u pay for it just cerious
That’s a nice car!

I have one here in Australia.Keep me informed with the build, love it
That car does not need to be chopped. It has good lines like it is. You will also destroy the value of the car. It is only original once.

I get irrationally frustrated doing this to myself, watching other people do silly things, like sand that car, or chop it.
Good riding I mean.
