Got this recently to try over the 36th anniversary paf. Both are very good but the 36th anniversary couldn't chug as well. The paf master is right in that perfect zone where it can do both. Really like it
it has good chord clarity , articulate pick attack. reminds me of thornbucker pickup that i have. less bass = tighter , less fuzzy saturation at higher gain . you show cased this pickup really well sir.
I intended to pull my Bridge PUP in my Nick Johnson and I just couldn't. Sounds great IMO and trust me, I have way too many pups laying around. TY for the video
Great demo! The PAF Master has a lot of bite with high gain because it has more clarity than higher output pups. Because it doesn't have the compression of a high output beast like an X2N or Crunch Lab, it has more harmonic complexity. This will definitely be my next DiMarzio. I'm looking to pop a set of PAF Masters in my Schecter very soon, and my next amp will probably be a Katana.
@@chrisCANguitar thanks for the clarification. I once had a dimarzio Billy Corgan 2 in the bridge and used it in parallel mode for rhythm and series mode for solos. Because it was way too bassy for me. But this master paf is very open and balanced to begin with it seems fortunately.

That’s awesome :)
PAF Master has a tighter bass response… the 36th replicates a “weakened alnico” magnet so the lows are a little rounder…

Thank you :)

I hear ya man. It does sound great but I needed a little more.

Awesome :)
I think if you use the coil split on a separate clean channel, the volume drop won't be that noticeable.
Right on
Great demo. The push pull knob was a series/parallel switch or a humbucker/single coil mode (coil split or tap) ?
It just splits the Humbucker
