I'm surprised by the relatively low reviews on Google. This seems like a really nice campground. For some reason the Four Jeffrey campground has much better reviews.
I have heard people like the Four Jefferey. I liked this spot because it was right in the fork in the road so logistically I liked it best. Never been to Four Jeffery though.

Been camping up Bishop Creek my entire life, but never once camped at Forks. Deffinately one of those sites ideal for those with RV's.
Sorry...don't want to come across as a know it all. It's a common mistake because it's spelled like Sah-brEnah, but actually pronounced Sah-brYnah. It's weird, I know. I promise though..that's the name.😋

I have and I agree it can’t be said enough. I’ll have to think of a creative way to start including that in my videos so the word gets out.
Yeah...last week took a tour of many of the campgrounds in Lake Sabrina / South Lake. First time back in the area in 10 years (Went straight to JMT from Lake Sabrina as a car-less backpacker). I will definitely return to camp, some amazing sites. Yes, drove through Forks/Four Jeffrey. Forks - Half the sites are too exposed, but the ones in the trees! I always remember Star Trek Insurrection when I think of Lake Sabrina. That's how I learned about it! Insurrection of another kind coming in a decade.
That whole area is amazing and the lakes are so beautiful! To be able to drive right up to them is awesome

I’ll have to check this site out! We normally base camp at pleasant valley campground so we can fish the lower owens, but when we do a north lake to south lake loop I’ll have to use this spot, thanks for posting!
So welcome! It will be cooler up there in the summer but also colder at night. Pleasant valley is cool being right on the river.
How does one pay for a campsite? Is it just a box at the campground?
