    Yes it is different from extrusion. Because in extrusion, a material is pushed through a die, but in this case, Drawing, the material is pulled. I mean in drawing process a material is stretched by applying tensile force...

      THIS IS ALUMINIUM DRAWING PROCESS IT IS DIFFRENT FROM MAIN STREAM DRAWING

    So how was the initial tube made to be made into the smaller one?

  • @nilcram
    @nilcram 11 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Yes the mandrel has to be as long as (actually longer) than the tube itself. From what I have seen in CDS mills, the tubes are commony less than 20'. I'm sure in other mills, that length can increase.

    夹头是怎么实现随着管材内径改变而缩小? 这样抽管之前就不用先缩管了

    What I don't understand is how far back the mandrel shaft can extend if the tube feed is continuous. For example, if the tube length is 50 feet, is the mandrel shaft 50 feet as well? For a tube that is made continuously, the mandrel shaft length would be continuous - a ridiculous construction. Would the tubing material - as in coiled copper tubing (500 foot rolls, let's say) formed around the mandrel shaft. Surely the shaft wouldn't be 500'!

      Should it be 50 feet long or simply move on a rail ?

      normally a drawing process involved max 6 mt long bar. for continous tubing process is used something call floating drawer

      Well for putting internal couplings on firehose there's a cone in the center of a bunch of shaped plates so when the cone retracts the plate expand. sort of like an umbrella. I doubt that makes sens but...

      This is stupidity. Swag the one end for about 250 mm and insert this 250 mm end in die.now grip this with any two piece grip and now draw it

    How is the original tube made? Extruded?

    • @karankochhar9200

      A slab is thinned into a skelp which is then passed through rollers

    • @iprakash2362
      @iprakash2362 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      It can be obtained either by extrusion( seamless tubes) or ERW method( welded).
