Jane H …. I was lucky enough to be alive when Elvis was alive, though I was 17 years younger than him. I became a big fan of Elvis when I was 12, in mid-1960s, though I had watched some of his movies when I was a bit younger. I thought he was so handsome & had such a beautiful voice. I am now 72 & Elvis can still work his magic in my life, giving me joy & I always feel so happy when I watch him. He had so much charisma & he owned any stage he walked onto, even when he was a teenager, starting out in his career. Your Reactions make me smile. Thank you.

I was 14 when I saw Elvis on TV in 1956. All of the girls screamed through out the show.
This was a jam session in the round with fans sitting close. It looks totally spontaneous. No large band. Pure Elvis vocals. So entertaining.
Correction to my comment. The jam session was part of the 1968 Comeback special not 1956. Sorry, somehow it was changed.

I know those people bothered you but it really didn't bother me at all. In fact, you are really fun to watch doing your reaction. The disgust face early on cracked me up. And I agree with what you were saying about Elvis. And for a bit of context. This was a segment during his 1968 Comeback Special where it was in the round with the audience up close, but this was his original band from when he was like 19 years 20 years old that kind of thing many years before, and they really hadn't even had a chance to practice, but they traveled there and then they sat down and just kind of jammed on their old songs and hits that the audience wanted to hear, it was almost more like a front porch jam. And yeah they're just having fun. At the last minute, they realized that the drummer DJ Fontana couldn't even fit his drum kit on to that very small stage and so it didn't bother him at all, he just grabbed a few pieces from it and then grabbed Elvis's acoustic guitar case and beat on that, lol.
I was looking through your playlist and it doesn't look like you have reacted to the live 1970 Vegas version of Suspicious Minds, which is a huge fun performance that a lot of people react to. It's from that same concert as Polk Salad Annie and Bridge Over Troubled Water.

That makes me sad and touched my heart when u said god was showing off when he made Elvis. Yea, so weird how people like that only happen once in a while. I love his magnetism. The movie was the bomb.. I love the scene where people made fun of his hair at the fair and thought he was going to suck and then he finally transformed into a magnetic bombshell angel that mesmerized the entire audience. That was THE PERFECT SCENE! I haven’t seen a scene that was that good in YEARS. Decades maybe.
I do think he touched the most wild and primal center inside of peoples hearts and his music and soul reverberated through their bodies and souls!!!
A health issue: Elvis inherited the genetic condition A-1 antitrypsin causing COPD/emphysema & began needing to use an inhaler to help him breath; at 2:49 he touched his throat then said hold it, i'm out of breath, wait a minute, then he laughed & continued on; he also coughed a couple of times throughout the performance. People should be aware of his lung problems - all the more reason to appreciate what he did for the love of performing & for his audience that he never gave up until he passed away. He also had painful glaucoma & the mega bright house lights & stage lights were hard on his eyes. He had emergency in-office eye surgery in the mid-70's. New subscriber - thank you.
