    I have a B33, my BSA Bee 🐝 I built from a pile of rusty parts and it's now my go to bike for any evening ride. You will appreciate every minute spent on the build and enjoy the ride even more. Lovely bike.

    I don’t know if there’s a correlation between old motorcycles and nice people but the friendly nature, warm enthusiasm and joy of passing on their passion really stands out in your fellow friends and enthusiasts. What a garage too! Thanks Mike.

      Usually but there are some old gits too. I got so much grief on a FB forum for BSA singles and twins for even considering building my own wheels having never done it before. My plan was to lace the wheels and then get them checked by a pro. But using a home made wheel truer they came out pretty good. "How dare I follow a you tube tutorial and take work away from an expert"🤣🤣❤

    I had a whole collection of these in the 70s. Nobody wanted them you could pick up an engine for a fiver. They worked great with a sidecar on English B roads. I lived in the Lake District at the time & a 350cc B31 would climb any of the passes & that's with a sidecar the 500s did it with ease. A lot of interchangeability between the 350s & the 500s. Looking forward to more visits to this garage.

    There's something about a 500 single, Steve's got a great place to work on it too, makes it all the more enjoyable, sometimes its the journey not just getting there.

    Yet another great video from the Mighty Garage! I like the way you create an easy going atmosphere - even though we've never met, I feel as though you and your buddies are old friends. I'm intrigued by the aerofoil section hanging on the wall.

    "The best cycle I ever had" !! Was My Grandpa's Gold Star !! He pronounced it sickle, did a lot of desert riding and taught me to ride on his '67 T120C. Then he got me a bike and I couldn't keep him in sight when he was riding with his wife on the back. The first bike shop job I had, the owner had a B33- called it "old Blue". Roger rode it twice when I worked for him. Had to drain the carb and sump, check the tires to get it ready to ride which meant I HAD TO TAKE IT AROUND THE BLOCK. How's Steve's now ?

    • @TheMightyGarage

      Thanks a lot for sharing that great story. I really enjoyed reading it. That sounded like great times! Steve is doing really well and his bike is getting very close to completion. I'm hoping to go back again in the new year when it's finished. Best wishes, Mike

      Hi, Great timing. Yes, Steve has finished the restoration and it's running, but he needs to dial it in a little more before we video it. He's going to let me know as soon as I can go over and capture the latest on his bike. Thanks for asking. Cheers, Mike

    Interesting. Coming together sweetly.
    What's the splined lever on the swing arm pivot, right hand side?

    • @exb.r.buckeyeman845
      @exb.r.buckeyeman845 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Just a guess WD, I think it’s because the left hand rear brake pedal lever shaft, pass’s through the swinging arm pivot to actuate the right hand side rear brake assembly.
