Been a hot minute since a video lol. Basically, since the GP01FB review, I had exams, some home renovations, and I… uh… fist fought a car door and the car door won.
So not only could I not record footage/audio but if I did I’d have to constantly try to hide a messed up hand. I’m whining, I know lol, but for real, had a lot going on. Things have cooled off by now, so expect some more videos soon.

- This review was done entirely AFTER the next posted review. -SPOLIER ALERT-, but the next new video is a redo of the MG Gundam MK II ver 2.0. Ya know, need to redo a bunch of videos because of the background music.
- Basically, before life got weird, I already had all the footage and audio for the MK II review, and just needed to edit it. However other stuff got in the way, 2 months passed, and I realized that the first video after a long hiatus being a ‘redo’ would be wrong. I needed to re-start with a new review. Thus, I knocked out this one, and am posting it first.
- Anyway, that MK II review is sort of my magnum opus so far lol. So, I thought this Wing Zero EW review would be just as crazy. But as it turns out, this was sort of a straightforward deal. I didn’t even use the split screen I was so proud of with the MK II. If anything, this review feels like it was made pre-MK II review. It’s just very basic.
- I did use the cropping and still images during the scoring sections. I feel that keeps those 15-20 second re-cap sections interesting
- New color filter. I started cranking down the contrast to make it look more like a few Japanese reviewers I’ve seen. They really like low contrast, and I do too. However, I think it makes the gap between the still images and video stand out a bit more. Need to work on normalizing things.
- Audio is starting to sound really good. I have a solid workflow now. However, there’s construction outside my apartment, so I constantly have to go back and record lines because of random beeping from bulldozers outside. This leads to a few noticeable audio inconsistencies. Plus my ‘posture’ is off. Need to find a consistent way to sit and speak into the microphone. It's a little bass-y right now.
- I really really really like this title card. I don’t know why, but I was just ON IT when I made this thumb. The colors all match, the effects work, the Gundam blends in. I’m super proud of it.

@@mg24-daniel17 update, it is good. There is no need to get the old mg. Heck, I even find it better than the hi resolution in terms of looks. A real solid kit.

You can tell that this was before Katoki went back and created a NeoBird mode for the Wing Zero Custom: Its transformation is that into a re-entry mode of some kind.

I just built the Zero EW Real Grade and it's crazy how the wings are built almost the exact same way, albeit more Real Grade-y and has a much more sturdy construction

Definitely! We've waited too long not to buy the Alex 2.0 lol. It looks like the kit to end all kits. Every vent molded in the proper color , anime accurate appearance, new gimmicks/full armor. It's gonna be hard not to just give it straight 5's lol

This was my first ever gunpla kit, wing zero has always been my all time fave ms so this kit holds a special place in my heart, I would love to see bandai do a 2.0 of this kit in the future. But for now the super nova 3rd party satisfys that for the mean time. Nice to see you out out another review mate been a while!
I think the ver ka can fill the want for a wing zero 2.0,even though it definitely isn't anime accurate
Time to modify the hands and wings when mine comes in. These "older" master grades look ripe for modding and customizing

I would say, for most of these older master grades, they would be awesome for customizing and scratch builds due to how simplistic most are.
Agreed. Especially Wing kits, since their inner frames are so similar.

This was my first MG when I started building gunpla 20 years ago, and it's still solid. Although, I hate the all white hands the Angel Wing Zero is constantly given when in the OVA/movie it had gray hands with white backs.

I painted this kit and used it to join the GMKC (lost sadly). All I can say is... The seamlines are horrible!!! It needed a lot of work. I got more than I could chew for the sake of nostalgia. Lol. This needs a 2.0 for me. Awesome as always review btw. MG Turn A review please...
I think I built this kit in 2009, it was one of my first kits. It definitely came with a set of the white armour in colourless, clear plastic, and also had grey hands with differently articulated fingers. Was that a special edition or anything? Just something I grabbed off eBay when I was 12, without knowing about grades or anything like that.
I built this kit in 2016 & still my favorite gundam kit to play & do any poses with it.
Can't wait for the new verka in November
Each beam rifle has a small nub at the back end, Those small nubs are to be tucked under the white bicep piece. Stays there just fine, but only if you're going for certain poses where the elbow is bent at a 90. Not sure if this was in the instructions.
Have you built the MG Exia? I built it a month or two ago and I don't get the hate it gets, sure it has shitty hands and some awkward feet, but overall it's a good kit. Would you also consider reviewing it if you have built it?

Hi i'm just getting into the gunpla universe, i wanted to ask if this is suitable for a first timer, and for the panel lines do i have to use only the black color or i need some other colors maybe to trace all the lines on the wings ?
Hello.
I've never built this model, but he said it's a basic Build, the only "difficult" part is the wings, and it's simple if you follow the instructions, so no worries on that.
As for the panel line, you can only use Black and it's fine, but a lot of gunpla fans actually use grey ink in the white parts and Black in the rest
would the wing ver ka be as good as this? Cause this kit is based on it after all, and i’d love to have both on my display 😂
Please dont hate me for this but as a g gundam fan I will do a shining finger pose with this kit. It looks like it should do that pose in my opinion.

Hmm~ good question. Personally, I'm an MG guy. There's over 200 kits, they have pretty intricate builds, a good history to dive into, and we only get 1 new release every 3-4 months so it's not hard to stay up-to-date with. Other than that, HG's are fun because they are cheap, easy to build, and there's a even more variety. RG's look cool, but there's not that many releases yet.

RG -is greatly detailed and a small kit that won't consume much space, BUT it's just too fragile. 👎
PG -like the RG it's also packed with details, but are too big and so expensive 😔

MG Gelgoog needs no review. It sucks. Believe me, i own one. It has a ball joint hip that shouldnt even be there. Because the MS is already top and bottom heavy. So the torso wobles around when you hold it.

I just used a standard Gundam marker. If you use enough coats, they can look pretty alright imo.

I have the non grade of Zero 1/100. Had always wanted that kit eventually. But the thing is, it irks me to no end where the hands are solid white, but the anime has his fingers in gray. I painted them in the non grade but kept the white in my PG. I want to paint them, but I dont. I sit and stare and think about it...
yeah, i personally use the grey hands on my MG wing zero. i think the fact it came with both grey and white hands is a nice plus.
can you also review MG wing proto and do a comparison between wing ew?

Do you ever top coat your models?
Nah~ I did for a while, and usually will when I do a full paint job. But now a days I skip over it unless there's some water slide decals I want to seal in place. Thanks for asking!
My first MG like 15-16 years ago. I broke the mouth piece and superglued it back lol. Water decals and the rifles were a nightmare, for a 1st MG. Not a 1st MG recommendation.
The reason the head part is green is because it’s based off of the manga
But this Master Grade came out in 2004, and Glory for Losers came out in 2010. Are you referring to one of those weird smaller manga that came out in the late 90's? Any specific? I'm curious where this green camera lens started from.

The hands are actually grey in the movie; the only white part is that square armor on top of the fist.
憂苦と悲惨 Just double checked. The manual, sample build (including those from the HG’s of the time), and the anime line art use white, but for some reason there are quite a few shots in the anime with gray. Very weird. The manual says not use the gray parts, but its still nice to have the option for whatever interpretation you want
@@redheadphones6 I'll have to disagree with 'quite a few shots' as all of the shots Wing 0 was in during the movie, the hands are grey except for those square armors on top of the fist (I can show all screenshot evidences if we're getting hardcore xD ). I've always wondered about that when I was 7 years old back 1999 when I got my 1/144 HG Fighting Action Wing 0 Custom and Deathscythe H Custom. The instructions (which I still have) all show white, when at the *side of the box of Deathscythe Hell Custom* where they show linearts of all available alternative kits of the line, Wing 0 Custom art shows grey hands. Even old original linearts I saw a couple of years back have them grey. For me, I find it more weird that they suddenly wanted to change it to white because I've always preferred the grey.

I'll be honest...they just can't get the wings right. They shoukd just sell the wings by themselves like how they did for turn As butterfly wings.
Most of my joints are extra stiff, stuff falls off when I try to articulate some poses.
Sorry to hear that. Give it a few months though, these things tend to loosen up over time.

Got this model recently, it was probably sitting on the shelf for 16 years. It's super flimsy - I can't even touch it without it falling apart, the wings especially. They're super loose, just like he talks about in the video. It still looks nice and a big plus is that it comes with an action base. Just be careful with it.
Not it's not. The kit is so old it's so out dated. Just wait for ver 2.0.
Give older kits a shot if you can, they can surprise you!
