My favorite memory of the Bryan Bros was when I was about 9 or 10 years old, and I was watching them practice at the US Open, and one of them shanks a ball, and it just nails me right in the eye. They never even noticed, but I think someone else in the crowd made a big deal about it, and they were nice enough to sign the ball for me.
I saw Bob and Mike practice in Monte Carlo. The best spent hour ever, they did a complete circle of forehands an backhands without missing a shot...Amazing.
These guys hit the ball so smoothly and effortlessly and their reaction times were out of this world. Their brand of tennis was aggressive and fearless. How could they not be the world's best doubles team with those attributes in their back pockets? Just an amazing doubles team. I don't mean to prattle on but Bob & Mike were pure rizz and so exciting to watch!
This was So brilliant. After listening last night I proceeded to deep dive TH-cam of the Bryans for hours. More amazing the 2nd time around. Thx Guys for the great match play and incredible entertainment!!
Loved this video. Thanks to Bob & Mike for all the great matches over the years - and these stories were great. Andy - Please let Bob and Mike know that I (and I'm sure many others) would gladly pay a dollar for one of their CDs and a t-shirt (heck, maybe even more...). Just let us know where to send the money and the contact info. ; )
I remember hearing about Bob & Mike not being allowed to play each other when I was growing up. However, I was lucky enough to see them play each other in the semis their last years in 18s in Kalamazoo w/ Kevin Kim & Mike Russell playing in the other semis. Andy, I also saw your brother John 3 different years (that I can remember) in Kalamazoo. He was quite the player! I remember sitting front row for one of his doubles matches on one of the 3 stadium courts and he almost got hit in the balls on a quick reflex doubles point. Thank god for baggie shorts already being in style saving him for disaster. The girls sitting around me were all very concerned...LOL
I just remember how everyone use to talk about the Woodies being the best double's team for years... Now, there is no question who the best doubles team of all time is: Thanks Bob and Mike for what you've brought and still bring to the game!
Great interview.. over to you Andy Roddick, did you really have that locker room fight with Novak ... we heard rumours that you had him up on the back against wall.... That will go viral if you can tell us the TRUTH!
Their whole rendition of the events leading up to the knockout sequence and after that were pitch perfect. Not only where they great players, but they are comedy giants as well.
I remember Bob's singles rubber davis cup match. For a second we all imagined then nah he's a doubles specialist. And as kids at Cabrillo racquet club in Camarillo. Dad having them hit serves while the net was than them.
The stories about Bob and Bryan's fights, their snaping at each other and their dust ups shouldn't be so funny but it is Andy roaring laughing at 41.20 is a great reaction to a wild story. I swear if they said they never had a fight, ever I would have believed them. I guess I never met twins.
We have a junior twin pairing in South Africa that are exactly the same. They play great but the partnership is super volatile, but always resolves in the end. Watch out for the Joyce bro's one day!
This was The Best ever tennis interview between former players, thank you guys!, cheers, Charlie from London

Get Roger on, I'm sure he's got nothing better to do 😅
i would LOVE to see the video of Bob knocking out Mike at the 2018 Australian Open!!
