I built one of these kits. Very fun build. The kit does have one problem. The body moves around too much on the chassis. The body posts are just too long. If you go to the Tamiya Web page, it looks like Tamiya has a solution for this problem. The best part is that the fix is cheap to do!!
Hi Alfred thanks for the info.Ill check tamiya website later. My body doesn't move around that much because the body post is shortened due to the seat and driver figure I've installed.so my body posts are the ones supporting the seat and the seat is glued to the body.

Hello there,I got the servo from my rc truck hg407 which I upgraded. The label says DSPOWER DS-013 digital servo.I dont recommend you use this.you may buy hobbyking. The radio system is AFHDS flysky gt3c which can accommodate 10 models. Good beginner radio. I upgraded the shocks to hydraulics but suspension is a bit harder because coil spring is thicker. I hope this would help. Enjoy VW RC BUILDING.
Hello there,currently HOBBYKING doesnt have too many company branded servo but turnigy TGY AN13 will do I think. I dont buy servos nowadays because I have got few cheaper HSP 6001 rated 6kg. No need high torque servos for VW VAN.
