How do you calibrate it? Need a video. Looked everywhere including the owners manual and nothing. Seed is way to high to be guessing. Be nice to know before taking delivery of my unit. Thx
What are the add on options for the SAYA? I saw in some videos the system had a cultipacker, your video doesn't show one. Also like another asked what spare/replaceable parts are available and how are they ordered?
Your parts can be ordered through your dealer. These are sold for us specifically through Belco Resources as our distributor. Tar River is the name brand and they offer many different variety of implements. Not sure there are options. But there is 2 different models. The DRL-072 which has that and the SAYA models. Hope that helps
The land I farm is glacial till...so there are rocks...does this seeder roll over rocks? Many of the seeders that I have looked at demand perfect soil...
Hey Georg, we understand what you mean. Most of the no till drills don't like rocks too much. I wouldn't say it would just roll over rocks since it is digging in pretty good to get that depth for the seed vs. a drill that requires some tilling prior too. We have a lot of rock around these areas as well. We have sold several of these and have never had any complaints about the rocks and such, but being aware of what and how your running it plays a part. I hope that helps and makes sense. Thanks again for the comment and conversation.
It doesn’t work with the John Deere Quick Hitch. The hook on the Quick Hitch is too big to fit in the space to lift the machine. I’ve been trying to make contact with you guys to find out if there is an attachment but no one can seem to give me an answer
Hey Michael, thanks for the comment! Are you trying to get in contact with one of our dealership locations or with Belco specifically? We would be happy to help if we can. We are a Kubota dealer ourselves, not sure if John Deere has something specifically that would make it easier as well. Thanks again!
So this can plant a Hay field AND plant a sweet corn plot? Not at the same time for me, but want something I can use to do both for my small 3 acre farm.
Thanks for the comment. These are quite impressive and best bang for your buck for all around no till drill. Here is a link to the brochure and manual of it. @@BeverageTractor Which would be more versatile for grass seeding and planting corn? SAYA or DRL? I only have 3.5 acres to work with and most will be Hay, so there will be plenty of overseeding, the main reason looking at one, but also would like to have a strip set aside to be tilled and plant sweet corn and other vegetables for a farm stand yearly. What I like is the fertilizer bay, I can see myself running it to drill fertilizer into the fields after each baling.
@@acdii I would say they aren’t the most perfect equipment for hay as they are going to plant in rows. But they will plant it. I would say the best one would be the SAYA for sure for your applications.
Hey Pat thanks for the comment and question. Working depth of these are adjustable from 3/4”-2”. Also since it’s on 3pt and with tines they will float across the ground as well. Hope that helps. Thanks.
@@BeverageTractor thank you for the reply, one more question, I plant a mix of seeds and would be using both boxes at the same time, while doing this is it possible to sow a mix of clover at a rate of 2# per acre with the box for small seed while sowing a 40 # rate using rye or wheat in the other box, I guess what I’m getting at is how low of a rate can the small box dispense the seed.
@@pattraynor2491 hey Pat. I know on these you have the ability to use use both boxes with different seeds at the same time and adjust accordingly. I am unsure exactly of the rates at the moment but I believe you should be able. Sorry and hope that helps! Thanks.
Why no wheels for transporting? This would be a lot nicer if i didnt have to take my tractor and trailer to get it to another farm. As is i would have to load up tractor and trailer if my destination did not have a tractor and fork to lift it off the trailer. Or am i missing something?
Thanks for the comment. You aren’t missing anything, this is just another 3PT hitch attachment. There are many different brands and versions of drills. There could be other “Tow behind” versions out there, but yes you would need your tractor to use this attachment. So when taking to other locations, you would need your tractor as well. I think I can understand your thought process on it since it’s not PTO driven, but would require hitch system for tow behind. I hope this helps.
I own the no till version of this. I purchased it last year & in the process already of adding extra tubing to extend the frame & was going to buy some old no till cultures off a planter to add to it, but seen this.
No complaints so far other than wish it was a little bit more heavy duty, but for price point really can’t complain & I’m beefing it up myself. Bought it at the end of last season and only used it handful of times so, this season I will be able to put it through the test & see just how well it holds up.
Has anyone used this down in Texas. I'd like to give it a try. I have black clay down here. Its not as hard as you'd imagine and this might work for me.

Have you planter in to standing rye or crimped rye
I'd like to now the same too. Im also looking to plant into a ryegrass field after mowing/baling.
