I really don't understand why some people hate on Waves, I mean they make the best plugins out there with constant discounts! Not everything about mixing has to be old school and complicated, I love having these one knob plugins, it just makes it easier to get better results.
This plugin is very similar to the IM Pusher, but looks great. Can Waves please design a plugin that is similar to the Antares Harmony Engine? I don't feel like paying $250 for a plugin.
I don’t think so. My understanding is that the rear bus thing is taking everything in the mix except the drums and sending them to an unlinked stereo compressor (I use the blackface CLA-76 based on what Andrew used in a video). Slow attack, fast release.
Kindly volume compensate your comparisons. Anything sounds better when louder - it is 2021, and by now anyone who avoids loudness compensation in A/B tests can easily be misconstrued as dishonest.
This plugin sounds very artificial. It seems to work with several steep bandpass filters or something like multiband compression. I can't believe a renowned engineer like Andrew Scheps created this. I can't recommend this, sorry.
Have had this plugin for the longest time now, but never thought of it as a mix bus processor! This was a revelation!!
That's where it lives !
@@Typenice cool, I don't have it. Yet. But I'd slap it on my drum bus

It's a great plug for sure. Very powerful on the mix bus and works quick to dial in whatever you like
I use this plugin more than I should probably.. it’s so easy to use and it’s actually fun
Major bands are using this on their mixbus live.
Awesome video and really great plugin! Thank you Dan!
Great music for this demo and really well done video
mix bus? cool never thought of that , thanks again , your the best !
I love this plugin. So powerful.

I thought it could be for bass and 808's ,wow it really opens up the whole mix perfectly!!
Yep, works equally as well on 808’s, drum sub mixes, guitars, basses.
great plugin indeed
Lovely as always Dan
love it, thank you.
Is this based on the rear bus parallel processing method?
I don’t think so. My understanding is that the rear bus thing is taking everything in the mix except the drums and sending them to an unlinked stereo compressor (I use the blackface CLA-76 based on what Andrew used in a video). Slow attack, fast release.
Love it
it's better for parralel compression ?
My understanding is that the 'thick' and 'bite' ARE parallel compression functions.

Yes, agreed...a fundamental flaw with this vid...
Any video telling me I ‘need’ this is an instant turn off, regardless of how good it might be
same
I can just put this on my master bus then add a mastering plugin
This plug in is AMAZING
It's not that I don't believe you, it's just that you're literally the company that sells this.
When it doubt, try the 7 day trial out
Scary
Only a Sith deals in absolutes.
Amazing
now the secret is out....
👍🏾
just to inform :i didn’t subscribe to be abused, i have already 10 whereby you said it is all i need 🔌
eh....just another multi band compressor with cooler grahpical UI
I don’t like the sound of this
That's because you do Techno!
Neither does any pro mixer who's mix bus I've ever seen.
No it doesn’t
What makes you say that just curious as I like the plug in
@@l3v3l5gotthatfire2 I hate Waves personal reasons
@@robmlisanti so you dont like waves, nothing to do with their plugs 🤪
@@l3v3l5gotthatfire2 i myself dont like some overrated plugins like r vox and their j37 tape.. but i only use the cla series all the time

I would never use it on a full mix.. but if i need a sound made bigger, like drums or a big bass synth, this is a go-to
