Hello. What do you apply to oat hay during harvest? I am from Poland and I am very interested in the issue of oat hay. How long does it take from mowing to harvesting? At what humidity do you harvest hay. Great production, great farm.
Love the capacity of that baler. Next week I'll be baling some barley and it will be the first time running in a smooth field. Looking forward to baling when the rodent hills don't limit speed.lol
Not sure what you mean by open throat? It has a similar feeding system as a deere with the pickup fingers in the front then between teeth and baler runs a rotary accelerator deally
@@tedkahler9738 yep, open throat means there isn't a stuffer bar between the pickup and the Baler belts. Our John Deere 567 has a stuffer bar, our Vermeer 605n has nothing between the pickup and the starter roll, which makes it a open throat design
@@tedkahler9738 I was looking at your monitor to see what month it read, just in case. Never can be too sure with TH-cam. Thanks for the clarification.
How high do you have your bale density pressure turned to? I have a new 560 deere and it seems like even cranked wide open they don’t get near as tight as the older Deere balers. I’ve always heard new holland makes the tightest heaviest bales out of any baler
All done with oast this year... but lots of video of forage oats online.. I REALLY HOPE next year is more normal and ill have a bit more time to make videos
Those bales look really nice! Can’t believe how well that baler works thanks for the ride along 👍
Thanks been very happy with the new holland baler
That NH baler does eat some hay! Thanks for the ride along.
any more i think most of the newer balers will eat the hay.... if the guy in the seat is crazy enough to let them eat it
Nice looking bales! We'll be raking and baking tomorrow as well. Keep cranking em out!
Thanks Been very humid here the last few days so not drying well but hope tomorrow we can roll on
Well, we were gonna bale until the rake breaking took half the day and the baler throwing a bearing took the other half. Guess tomorrow is the redo.

Mr Ted , you win the utube baling award as far as I can see. You can really crank them out. Thanks for update.
LOL not sure i win the award but i appreciate the kind words
Definitely moving right along!
would you guess im out of 1st gear?

Love baling at speed .... HATE rough fields
Do you remember how many bale per acre this yielded ?
2-3 1500-1800 pound bales
Darn good looking bales 👍👍
big windrows and a decent baler helps
Thanks for the ride along ,be safe
Thanks for comming along
do you have one of them big pull type wagons with the arm that scooped up the round bales?
no fancy accumulator here... just 3 pt double bale spear
You need a full time kid just to move bales!
Looks like a great crop there Ted! Is the nh baler open throat?

Do you rake with a V rake and if so does it not put dirt in the swath?
doesnt seem to put dirt in there... it rarely touches the ground.
Looks like good going..
yep that day went along pretty well... now thats not saying mu ch for the rest of the week LOL
What do they use the oat hay for
we feed calves and cows it
Nice feed there Ted
Thanks man... glad you jumped in for the ride
Well hot dog that thing eats!
it sure does..
Looks like every 50 seconds the baler dumps
Decent pace id say!
Looks good
Hey how ya been??? some time we need to catch up!
@@tedkahler9738 we are trying to get the last of first cut baled

Nice lookong bales. Hope that next time you also show us the crop before mowing. I'm corious on these forage oats, they seem like a good choice.

Hi. I run similar Baler but 4x5. You cropcutting those bales? What pressure you running?
