This makes me really happy to see Danielson in this light, way overdue and much deserved! Congratulations on this excellent work, from your long time fan. PS. - I sure could go for one of those legendary danielson hugs! 😊
SOOOOO wonderful to see you all!!! You have been such a blessing in my and so many others lives....giving us the permission to be our TRUE selves. Love ya!
This is so great! I remember the first time I heard Danielson on the first Tooth and Nail sampler in the mid 90s. They have since been an earmark to me for what a truly original and creative band is.
My brother, I empathize with you. This song title alone is my life for a very long time now. I nearly started crying simply because I can not fix anything in my life right now. I keep the Faith......everyday, I acknowledge that God is good, and remind my self of the good in my life and ways it could be so much worse. Then I pray for people I personally know that have worse things in their lives than I. But since the age of six, it seems that I have struggled and fought, though not alone......feeling completely alone. And some days............I just look around me in confusion and not knowing what the right answer is, or what I am supposed to do. On those days.......those very long days, when I feel like a lost child. I just want God to come down and whisk me away to heaven and let me cry in his arms and make everything o.k. again.
Oh I do so love this. I miss seeing Danielson Famile live (Cornerstone Festival, 40 Watt Club... man, all the places), too! I used to take friends to see them & offer to pay them back for their ticket if they didn't love it. I never had to pay anyone a dollar!
Good stuff. Been following Danielson since the Tooth and Nail days and it's great to see this much production value and collaboration with awesome people!
What a JOY this is! Laughter and tears at the same time - does it get any better? Kudos to Danielson, Chris White, Fred Armison and the entire cast for this brilliant musical burst of happiness!
This song and video are wonderful. Visually stunning, and quite relatable as I worked from home for almost two years during the pandemic. Also big kudos to Fred for portraying such a relatable character. I also liked how Hugo and the Delivery Woman's interactions came full circle. Good stuff.
Was that James Spader making a cameo in the crowd next to Fred?? This just made my whole day!!!! I have been a huge Danielson fan since I heard Who are Parents on Greasy Kids Stuff WFMU 97?? Nothing but ❤.
That's actually a hilarious story. Danielson was at a music festival, and there was this quirky, energetic "reporter" there asking the various bands all sorts of ridiculous questions. The show started, and the "reporter" turned out to be a young, up-and-coming comedian that no one had ever heard of...Fred Armisen. He introduced all the bands...and everyone realized they'd been punked. A couple months later, Armisen got on SNL. A couple years later, Danielson looked down at a show and saw Fred Armisen in the front row...then at another festival that same year, Armisen came backstage and asked Danielson if he could introduce them again "for old time's sake" -- they've been friendly acquaintances ever since.
This is so good. What an amazing collaboration. I’ve been a Danielson Famile fan since the 90’s. Great lyrics and message too! This made my heart feel great today, so much beauty and art in this. It feels like Wes Anderson and Charlie Kaufman directing a music video for Sufjan Stevens and the Flaming Lips. I love it. Is there a film attached to this this project?
We couldn't be more flattered by the comparisons you've chosen! Daniel and director Chris White collaborated on the music for ELECTRIC JESUS. This song is from that soundtrack and is being re-released as a digital 7" -- we're partial to all the songs on the EJ soundtrack, but the new mix and mastering of COME AND SAVE ME is even better than what's on the album.
Ok, where have I seen the delivery girl from? We saw this video at the Tryon Film Fest event recently. She loosk familiar. (sorry for the completely obvious question)

Glad you enjoyed it! Please share!
Waving and saying "I love you!" with my middle finger as instructed by Daniel.🙂
Fred plays a great Hugo. I love the 9 fruits venue. I think I may have frequented that place a few times in my sleep.
The members of this band haven't aged. I remember them from the late 1990s.
i'm sure you aren't talking about the outer, but inner/personality?

Very similar, thematically, to LeeLand's, "Count Me In"
Not familiar with it...We'll have to look that one up! Thematically similar to the music video or the song?
