    What a picture post card corner of the world. As a sailing friend used to say, " Another miserable day in paradise" ;-)

    Visited Falanga 40 years ago as our family chartered the Whales Tale schooner for 2 months. Still looks beautiful.

      HENRY KING Thanks Henry - hoping the dreams become a reality for many. We love getting emails and messages from friends who have bought their boats and are heading out into the blue. It's not easy for all ... the boat set up is important unless one enjoys 'camping'.

      +jale sea - hey - our pleasure - you sure do come from a very beautiful island - such wonderful people there and sad to see the younger folks leaving for 'City Life', but of course we understand that young people want to take the opportunities as best they can. Please send greetings from Impi when you next visit there - cheers!

    What an absolutely fantastic place to visit. It was a shame to hear about the fish stocks. Keep up the great work with the fantastic videos that so many of us are enjoying watching. If you are passing by the Gold Coast on your travels then look us up. We would love to catch up.

      +Steve Thorne-Farrar - Thanks Steve - that island is incredible. I believe they were hit quiet hard by the recent cyclone and wonder how that has impacted on the environment now. Cheers and thanks for the comment

      +Catamaran Impi I think they must be struggling unfortunately. Watching your videos really makes me look forward even more to our annual sailing trip around the Greek Ionian. We aren't strong sailors like yourself but find it exciting and fun like yourselves though. One day we will venture further afield when time allows.

    • @CatamaranImpi
      @CatamaranImpi  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Steve Thorne-Farrar - That's awesome to be sailing around the Greek Islands - we have a mate who has been sailing there 6 months of the year. He absolutely loves it there. 6 months of the year he is involved in selling Ullman sails out of Cape Town and the other 6 he cruises. I am not sure there is a thing such as 'strong sailors' - we learn new things ALL THE TIME and we learn a lot from chatting to other folks too. In the end it's all about learning and sharing and we get excited when we see others dreams of sailing become a reality - that is an amazing moment for us every time!

    Aaaaahhh you've gained more RESPECT from me, thank you for acknowledging the Culture and Protocol "SEVUSEVU" to the Chiefs, much appreciated.

    • @CatamaranImpi
      @CatamaranImpi  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, Margaret - I think it takes tourists some 'getting used to' but we LOVED the chiefs and the people gathering all around us. It is truly nice to feel welcomed officially after asking the Chiefs blessings and to know that the people take you in as 'their own' ... amazing people - we love the people of Fiji :)

    Been there, Nov 17, when we went in the tidal outflow was like a fast flowing river. Fantastic reefs and no plastic. despite all the propaganda. the need to plant tree's.

    Wonderful presentation. What's with the background music? your not making a Hollywood blockbuster. Let the natural sounds be your guide. God bless.

    The sun-flares for changing scenes is kinda' annoying, as a first-time visiter.

      Sorry for the delay in reply - we have been at sea the last 6 days from New Zealand to New Caledonia !
      Hi Cam - yes, understood and with you there!
      We really have had to learn a lot about video making and thanks to viewers comments we are finding 'our way' a little better in later vids. Thanks for the comments though and may I suggest watching our earlier vids with sunglasses and later vids with the naked eye - LOL - cheers for now ... Brent

    The fish have gone the same way as the trees,by the locals putting to mutch stress on nature, chopping to many trees down and heavily overfishing the reef!Some conservation education would be good for these people!

    • @jalewea6380
      @jalewea6380 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +ThatDutchguy ...Good to hear your conservation education ideas based from Ridge to Reef conservation method....the real deal the island is facing is climate change....

    • @thatdutchguy2882
      @thatdutchguy2882 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +jale wea That's on top off this too!It's not going to get any better!So it's even more important that they get more and better conservation education!But we must give them an alternative too,like fish farms,lobster farming and other sustainable sea based industry!Then maybe build a bigger and higher man made reef further out I the ocean to protect there land and wildlife,so studies need to get underway fast!
