I always knew that "TT Bike" secretly stands for "Time Travel Bike". They let you go so fast that you travel back in time. :)
Very pleased and happy with this bike.
I long commercial but I like it. A comparison between the top level Speedmax and the new Scott Plasma 6 (sharing some features, also priced insanely high) would be interesting. Alas! Scott is not a GTN sponsor.

13 degrees is plenty enough? except there are lots of riders going with 20+ degrees.
Would be good to have a bento box with rubber top as an option over the door option as I can see this getting broken
It goes back to stack height though. A lot of people slammed their stem then cranked up their angle. What is being found out that doing that closes the hips off too much and kills power.

9.2 kg. 1000€ more for almost 1 kg more. Nice bike I'm waiting for tests on hilly roads.

But you know that triathlon races are not like riding in Alps and while climbing with power of 400 watts on 20% hill (70kg rider and 9.2 kg bike) you only get 5 watt disadvantage compared to climbing on 1kg lighter bike. This is equivalent of ~0.11 km/h. Compared to previous speedmax this model is 9 watts faster in terms of aerodynamic drag (in ~45 km/h speeds) and that is equivalent of ~0.5 km/h.
@@_zya_1783 I know this stats but between my summer wheels and my winter wheels (road bike), there is only 300g and I feel a big difference. So I'm waiting for a test on hilly roads (not necessary embrunman !), just to see if theses wonderfull bikes are not designed only for Kona. Sorry for my english, i'm a frenchman...
@@pierricklb6169 Well, maybe your summer wheels are way stiffer than your winter ones. But yeah besides all of that numbers about this speedmax the feeling is also important so as the stiffness. Im also waiting on some real reviews containing bad and good aspects of this bike because this particular video is obviously a presentation and advert.
Those Pro armrests are sweet. I’d get those in a heartbeat, or wait for TriRig to make a carbon copy (literally).
Wow , impressive, I would like to hear Lionel Sanders input considering he is the fastest Triathlete on the bike in the Canyon group. I am waiting for Canyon to come to Canada, I have been considering the 2020 SLX CF BLUE that is currently on sale $6600 USD but I think I will wait till spring to order in Canada.
Love the Purple but I want Axs 1x12 with DT or I have Enve rims. Not sure if I can order it like that.
Amazing bike, love the integration of the hydration, tools, the bento box , The bike is a 9 out 10 , My personal concern is the Uni bars but Jan said he was able to dial himself in the same as his last years bike.
I've had my eye on Canyon since Sanders has ridden one and love it, exceptional design, aerodynamics, ergonomics and I am certain its comfortable.

The hydration system looks like the "Fuselage Hydration System" on the older-style Specialized Shiv, which has been around since at least 2012. The older-style Shiv did not have a pocket in the frame for a spares kit, but an optional "Fuel Cell" was available that fit between the seat tube and down tube just above the bottom bracket and had room for a spares kit.
That's my set-up. Hated drinking from the FHS (replaced with torpedo). Took an inordinate amount of "suction" that was literally lung-tiring (and the liquid warmed quickly).
Why not .Yep easy and fast, some times you change position just a small amount from season to season or trying to find the sweet spot and have to move up and down few times also when traveling makes it easy to reassemble and not intimidating to do so. Also helps to grow sport if any one can take off two wheels, seat and front set up with one tool in 5 min. They would possibly do more races instead of just local.I do not have new Cervelo i think Cervelo is overpriced but that particular design feature is way better. I am sure they will improve on it on next generation.

So ok, the bike is easy to transport if you buy the Canyon travel bag. But I already own a hard case (original Bike Box Alan) which requires removing the handlebar for the bike to fit. Is that possible with the CFR and CF SLX?
Think the storage box on the new CF will fit the old CF? Probably not but one can wish.
Oh yes i do like everything else and i love integration for tools and hydration

How do you clean the drink system?
Is this a shift of Canyon from the business model perspective? How come Canyon managed to come up with a Speedmax more expensive than an S-Works Shiv?

Of course it is not. They just now they can get people to pay it. After Scott releasing a €15k Plasma 6, they are probably correct.
@@LarsRR Neither Scott or Specialized is direct seller. I'm simply wondering how come they managed to climb up to this price.
@@laiphe With the amount of money going to Zwift, 2 pro cycling teams, GTN, Frodo, Sanders... prices go up. That and all the time in the wind tunnel they need to try and make back all their spending.
Honestly I think their prices are ridiculous especially with only a 2 year warranty. Amazing to think Trek are value for money but they are arguably the best bang for buck in the Triathlon market at the moment.

@@michaelkennedy9064 You have 6 years warranty with Canyon. And I don't think we're fooling ourselves... the new Speedmax is the most innovative bike on the triathlon market. Canyon is the No. 1 in the triathlon sport. Everyone knows that. 5 Kona wins in a row. Because of this status you can demand more for your bike... in spite of the direct shipping
The pricing at the moment of bikes is crazy. I'll be forced to switch to Giant when I get my next bike because I can no longer justify the value vs the cost. An ultegra Di2 bike shouldn't cost the same as what a super bike cost only a generation or two ago.
My wife loves the Pink CF, however it appears on their website they do not sell it in a di2 groupset. You have one in the video, where did you get it and will it be available to the public before next race season?
I am pretty sure they will be. The one I have been riding is just off the shelf so to speak and comes with Di2.
If you break a piece of that aero bar for whatever reason good luck getting a replacement from Canyon when they are no longer in production 😅

Have fun flying with this bag, as some airlines won't let you check in soft cases for your bike any loinger. Some require hard cases these days...
@Marc Bearman This year in spring when flying to Mallorca, on my first flight EUROWINGS told me that they will not accept cardboard boxes any longer, but will only accept hard cases going forward.

Seriously why no rim brake models for a TT bike? Disappointed that the new Aeroad is disc only but at least give the option for TT ones.
Maybe it's because discs look cool to people who don't know anything about bikes and have lots of money - coz you'll defo need a lot of that!!
Trek have been saying they won't change to disc like all the other manufactures. They are due for an update and it will be interesting if they stick with rim only.

Beatuiful bike. Canyon introduces 650B for XS, only on Di2, not etap, i dont know why. It’s very difficult to get 650B inner and outer tube in the market...
How much "slower" is the cheaper bike when compared to the top of the line one?

That integrated hydration pouch is design flow. For the love of God how do you clean it !? I have issue with regular water bottle building bacteria and all other sorts of things. I can imagine how quickly this bladder will become nasty and become real health hazard.

Who cares if you can adjust hands angle if you can not adjust forearm angle 13-14 deg to adjust forearms is almost nothing. With all that you still have to take it all a part to move up or down and have to replace spacers. Cervelo got one screw only to go up or down in 30 sec.
So cervelo optimized the time to optimize something that once you optimize you don't need to optimize again? Cool

@@gtn I know but I have not expected that they split the product launch in two parts. The old SLX model comes in at 9.500€ and the new CF at 3.700€. So the old one is much more pricey for the same speed.

Why on earth do you put a BB86 bottom bracket on a bike with such a massive bottom? Too bad, this one looked like a great bike but it uses the dumbest bottom bracket standard. BB386 would have allowed the use of 30mm axles with proper sized bearings, or T47 if you fancy a threaded bottom bracket. I'm disappointed...
Are the bikes good in Kona because of the riders? Or are the riders good in Kona because of the bikes...

@@cd66061 it was just the way they made it seem like a novel idea to stow your water in the downtube to be more aerodynamic. Nothing new. Don't get me wrong, I love canyon and have an ultimate, but my old SHIV from 2018 has some strikingly similar features, including the box at the base of the downtube.
@@wrxzboost they didn’t say it was new, and using an already used idea is allowed you know. And they have evolved it with a better refill mechanism. The downtube bladder is about the ONLY similarity to the Shiv...
Gtn doesn't mention Scott plasma launch but has complete video of Canyon launch. Atleast for your own integrity show good journalism you have already killed the essence of the sport with your marketing crap. You absolutely don't come out as athletes with forced material every day.
