I had already owned about half the movies in this set already on dvd/blu-ray already, but I pre-ordered it anyway. Very glad I did. Great quality and tons of great extras again.
Alas this one is no longer mine, I gave it to a friend who had to sell his for financial reasons, but for the brief period on which it was mine, I had a very loving relationship with it 🤣 Such great films in here
Otaku is a generous dude! I bet he is extremely busy doing the restaurant business! I like his videos and his love for these movies! He is the Shaw Brothers guy!
From what I understand the hours he works at the restaurant are absolutely insane, and restaurant work is super stressful. Thankfully he has countless Shaw and chanbara movies to keep him calm! He's a great dude, and I love his channel, too.

Something I just found out on Amazon last night was that a 7-movie Jackie Chan collection is coming out in January from Shout Selects. Did you know this? At some point it would be good to bring this up when you do another upcoming releases video.
I actually just got contact info for the PR person at Shout handling that release and am going to contact them before I record anything in case they have screenshots or anything like that I can include in the video
I'm so jealous! I heard that some people got these really early but you did a really good job of keeping it quiet. I'm still on the fence whether to buy this straight away or wait and pick it up later for two reasons; 1. Vol. 1 went down to £80 here in the UK not long after release and 2. Arrow's recent issues with QC and having to issue replacement discs on quite a few of their new releases.
Yeah I imagine the price will come down quite a bit if you wait. This is definitely a set that if someone had not sent it to me I would wait for the price to come down. Just at first glance this one doesn't have some of the issues people had with the first set, such as the artwork seeming unfinished

@@hkcinemasociety I would love to see a review of Boxer's Omen, I love how that movie starts out with one plot then completely abandons it to go full on bat shit crazy! That and Seeding of a Ghost are nutz!
@@PurityThruFire Boxer's Omen is so insane it's basically it's own genre. It's one of the most batshit insane movies I've ever seen, but also has this really incredible psychedelic spiritual angle to it that seems like it accidentally migrated over from a Jodorowsky movie.
Boxer's Omen came out before the Category III classificaiton existed, but as best I understand it, it is not one of the films that was retroactively given a Cat 3 rating.

From what I gather, the label was very angry with the disributor who sent this out super early, so I'm not surprised they haven't send it out themselves yet.
I honestly have no idea how Flip was able to get this so early, he didn't tell me, but I'm happy it happened. I'm gonna have to start using that expression more often 😂😂😂
