Satirical take on the early anti-communist Captain America cartoons and an attempt to bring him up to date. In this episode we witness the birth of Captain America.
While watching these 60s marvel cartoons I noticed that the art style they used is by jack the king kirby himself. The animation back then was pretty limited with his style but, imagine they make a marvel cartoon today with jack kirby's art style and this time with good animation? I'll watch that actually! I think the fantastic 4 would be a great choice as a cartoon with his style if they'll make another fantastic four cartoon!
Saw this as as kid. I had no idea it was this short. But it never left my memory. Did he Nazis attack the lab? They must have. This short makes it look like Cap murdered the scientist who made him.
This is clearly a twisted gag reel. After he knocks off Erskine, he pledges to "champion the fight FOR tyranny wherever freedom and justice reigns." Some Red Skull loving joker posted this . . .

THAT is exactly the original (and correct) dialogue put forth in this Captain America episode. No doubt the clown who edited this is trying to be a wise ass.

I love these toons, since it holds fast to the original stories and characters, as corny as the so called animation is. This is anti-American tripe! NOTHING will ever make me think differently.
I wonder why my dad was in the service a long time ago I learned about this cartoon from him he told me he used to watch it as a kid when he came home from school
I remember years ago I asked my father who his cartoon hero was growing up as a kid he told me when he was little they had a Captain America cartoon in the 60s he said he used to watch it when he came home from school
One of the guys in the control room was a HYDRA agent and shot Erskine and since the formula was in his head and not written down no more Super Soldiers could be made when they tried years later HULK was created

But Back when I was watching these on TV all those years ago, they were Little more than silly Renderings to Most People!! Different to what we know about the origin but this seems to reveal something it was cap who killed the scientist well that day but an accident he tried to save him but this issue is not as it seems there is still something mysterious as we discovered in other future origin stories and the multiverse but there could be some forces that were involved out the original story but these stories were over 50 years old and Steve Rogers and Bucky Barnes have definitely changed over a half century and that time changes for everyone involved history with their enemies to including Red Skull and Kang and there is the key time medaling in Cpt America origin from both cap and Kang and even Red Skull?

The series I posted is a re-edit of the original series. I was a teenager when I first saw them and was angered by the cold-war propaganda the cartoon was projecting. I have since kind of gone full circle on my opinion of Cap and am trying to post the original show. However, converting VHS isn't a simple process at the moment but I will post the original episodes once I'm able. Promise.
I don't understand it was Captain America who killed the doctor or scientist who discovered the formula that made him a supersoldier.That's confusing if that's the case then he is not a hero but a villain.Something is wrong in this episode.The movie's story of Captain America's origin is more believable.Its too bad Mr.Stan Lee is no longer with us I was planning to get in touch to ask if the comic version and this cartoon version are exactly this same story of Captain America's origin.

Ron krill and Dynamo001 thanks for the info about the origin of captain america cartoon version,my hunch was right an unnecessary editing was done.Its safe to say that the movie version CA the first avenger is close to the comic story version except for the difference how the serum or formula transformed Steve Rogers,in the cartoon he drank it from a beaker if that's how you call while the movie the formula was injected in large amount to Steve's body.

i have the dvd now..captain america did not kill that scientist,i watched it,they cut the part out where the scientist accidently kills himself.
