  • The Heros species most commonly encountered in the aquarium trade are fish referable to the species Heros efasciatus. However, the trade name generally used is "Severum Cichlids". Trade fish are very often line bred specimens of color sports such as "Super Red Severums" or "Gold Severums.

    In my opinion this is the most underrated aquarium fish ever!! Freshwater or saltwater... This is the most versatile freshwater fish... If you do it properly this cichlid can go with just about anything.. from a massive variety of tetra's to monster fish... When paired with arowana it's truly beautiful... I mean it can be placed by itself... In groups ... Or anything you really want... One of the few South American cichlids that I see mixed with African cichlids

    I really love sevrums this are my favorite sevrums I hope to find a group of 6 near future to add them to my room

      @@CarlosDiezAquatics i will get a breeding pair of beorellii today ( apistogramma >borellii ) ...i am just done with bagging my trifasciata and heading to the shop for a trade ;)
