@@SmilingSeraph I feel as though it's the other way around, the entire plot is focused on places and characters the MCU would probably never introduce excluding Adam Warlock and the similarities are very minor

My Drax example is mainly about him maintaining the alien family from the movies in particular. Drax was originally a human and his daughter is sometimes a member of the GotG. Neither his origin nor his future are maintained because of these changes. We know the character is still walking the same path so the adaptation works. Star Lord is on the goofier side as a result of the MCU and he's the protagonist. The way music is used came from the movie. I'm not saying any of this is bad but the primary inspiration with some of the lead characters is clear. I appreciate the inclusion of the element gun. Sorry for the long reply

53:20 I loved the subtle warning in the credits as they're noticing Adam isn't well, not knowing he is quietly losing the fight to Magus inside of him. As he is turning into Magus, the positions and names of the credits subtly change into "Magus", as well. Pretty clever. The "missing the trees in the landscape of the forest" thing. While looking at the landscape of a forest overall, you're not looking at the individual trees that make up the forest. Bcz we're looking at what we think is a W and the end, the danger coming can dance in front of mockingly knowing not only will most not see it, those that do see it can't stop it from happening. Hell of a devil in the detail(s). After all its said the greatest trick he ever pulled off was making man believe he never existed. Adam nor the guardians saw this happening, Magus was counting on it. This game was fun, funny, brilliant, clever,...man, it just doesn't get the credit it deserves. And although I loved the Adam Warlock in vol. 3, (as we've been waiting for him for the better part of a decade, which also ties into the character itself. As his mother literally said, it took time for him to grow and even during the movie he wasn't yet completed), but I wish this Adam and Magus (interactions and fight(s) included ) was in the movie.
Every dialogue in this game is hilariously put. I laughed my arse off everytime I have played this masterpiece. One of my favorite game of all time. Cos this game is funny as hell. Keeps you entertained. Not even a single dull moment. One of th best. 👌🏻❤

I love James Gunn...but, this holywood trope that all men have to be a goofy imbecil, They take a lot away from the character, Peter Quill in the game really a leader, he is not the strongest or smartest of the group but he manages to keep these weirdos together, even Drax is a Character instead of "dumb strongman"
