Thank you so much for this much needed explanation to the people entering this world of finding a ghostwriter! It can be tough and there are some shady people out there. I was lucky to have my book written and published through Writers Of The West and that saved me a great amount of time and hassle!
Yeah, I love writing, but I write in the genres I know and enjoy, like children's books and YA. That said, I know there are other genres that are begging for content and can be quite lucrative, so for those genres, I hire ghostwriters. This gives me the ability to tap into profitable niches while still focusing my time on what I enjoy writing the most.
@@KeithWheelerBooks that's a great idea. I've been looking for other ways to grow my author business or make a side income to go hand in hand with it. Great option
Absolutely! There’s only so many hours in a day and we can’t do it all. So if we can’t make more time, make more versions of us to maximize the time we have.
Soooo, Fiverr is not the worst place on Earth to offer services? I love this video post because I am looking to write personal development content for buyers, but I have seen and heard negative reviews for Fiverr. I am trying to get reviews for both positive and negative so I very much appreciate this honest review. Thank you, kindly for your honesty.
Just like any freelance platform that offers little prerequisites to become a seller, there are going to be some negative experiences. That said, I have had way more positive experiences than negative, on Fiverr. That’s also why I do these videos and test out these sellers and share with my viewers my experience, so you have a better chance of having a positive experience. Basically, I’m test driving the sellers, so you don’t have to.
@@KeithWheelerBooks Thank you so very much, Keith. I really am trying to be the best I can be and very much appreciate your experiences so that I may use it as a guide. Be well. :)

Cool, good luck! I've got an artist I use on Fiverr for shirt designs and am never let down. I use an editor there too. I went there after too many complaints about editing on my books. None after using the Fiverr girl.
@@KeithWheelerBooks The one I use would make you go broke if you used him for every design :) I use him for special designs that I can't get from Threadbasket, DepositPhotos, or Creative Fabrica. It's the one I did the Fiverr video on. It'll cost you $30-40 a pop. But he (they, it's a team) will never let you down. Kelli just did a video with some designers, one of them was pretty good and affordable.
No worries. An early reader chapter book is a chapter book for kids just learning to read. Examples of these types of books are Junie B Jones, Flat Stanley & Magic Tree House. I hope this helps.
Very nicely explained Keith wheeler. After having written a chapter book from three different ghost writer in the same category, are we gonna approve all of them?

Unless that’s an extremely long book, I’d say that’s a bit high. Also, you never want the same person writing and editing the same story. There’s a much greater chance they’ll miss something.
Question I currently have a book I just finished but I’m not a writer it’s about 70k words I don’t know if I should get a cowriter...I went with urban writers and had to redo everything That came in at 35,000 words it was really horrible any recommendations
@KeithWheelerBooks Thanks for replying! Sorry for all the questions. I am getting ready to go through the process, and I want to learn what to watch out for. Thank for sharing your experience!
Hey I have a question I've been thinking about hiring a writer to write my story for me so should I hire a ghostwriter or a creative writer. And should I have a outline for it and a rough draft of my writing. Or should I just have the outline for my book and give it to the Ghost writer.
Ghostwriter means they’re writing for you without their name on the final work. Creative writer is a type of writer, typically used for fiction. So, if you’re referring to Fiverr topics, I’d go with ghostwriter and make sure you’re clear on your overall goal. As far as how much to provide them, that all depends on how much control you want over your book. If you want more control, then you’ll want to provide more info(ie a rough draft or detailed outline with character descriptions, etc). If you just have a topic in mind, then you can just share the broad ideas and let them come up with the rest. At the end of the day, it’s your book, but understand that the less guidance you give, the more creative control you’re giving your writer.
@@KeithWheelerBooks thank you so much I appreciate the feedback😊. I just have one more question, I'm in the process of writing a fiction Action series, would hiring a creative writer help me. Because I'm a guy with a family who work a full-time job, I can write the title and the outline for the series but it's hard for me to write the detail for the stories like the action scenes and the scenes with drama. So what you're telling me I should hire a creative writer to write the details for me if so that will help me a lot.
It depends on what kind of contract you're referring to. To the best of my knowledge, Fiverr does have their freelancers sign some sort of non-disclosure agreement. But I don't know the specifics.
@@KeithWheelerBooks like when you hire a ghostwriter, do they give you a confidencial agreement between you and the writer like Upwork does or do we have to make an agreement with the ghostwriter myself?
They don’t provide you a specific contract, but my understanding is that they do have them sign a confidentiality agreement before they sign up to be a freelancer on the platform. I pulled this from Fiverr’s website about contracts: “With Fiverr, You Don't Have to Worry About Contracts… Fiverr has contracts built into the platform that always have your best interests in mind.”
No. You’re hiring a ghostwriter to write for you. Once paid for, the content is 100% yours. You don’t even have to attribute the writer or Fiverr in the work. It’s solely your content.
That’s a good question. Yes, you’ll want to hire a separate editor. Most ghostwriters don’t hire editors for their work and even if they did, I’d still suggest hiring a separate editor just to be safe. After all; it’s your name(or pen name) on the final product.
I don’t recall off the top of my head, but I know I mention the pricing in the video. I do know that they were each a different price. (I wanted to cover something for virtually all budget levels) I hope this helps! 😊👍

I have no clue how to go about all this but I have been rough drafting my story any suggestions checking out the other videos subbed find this very interesting as I approach this
I’m sorry for what you went through and had to endure, but I’m sure it made you a stronger person. Which is even more the reason why you need to get your story out there. Once you’re done with your first daft you’ll want to go back and self-edit it. Okie hen you think it’s ready, then reach out to find an editor to help get it polished. Meanwhile, while it’s in the editors hands, you can start getting the cover made. I hope this helps give you some direction for the next steps. Best of luck!
