FANTASTIC very very well put together video entertaining in a nice way without being over the top BUT most importantly not loosing sight of exactly what the video is about which is STEELHEAD FISHING..well done guys MORE PLEASE
you guys are the best, great times in nature! your love for fishing and true care for the environment speak a ton to your character! tight lines and many blessings fellas!
Awesome water, nice fish, great humour....great vid....really like your net! I use a palomar knot on all my terminal tackle(swivels)...have for 45 years....never found a better terminal knot for light mono or braids...would never fish with a double clinch...that would be a source of constant worry for me. Big water and big steelhead push your gear to the threshold.... not much separating you from success or failure. Really cool stuff... loved it! Cheers from Sooke BC.
I’m new to float fishing and watching this video has me excited. I live in Central NY just miles from the Salmon River in Pulaski, NY. The Salmon run is pretty much over for this fall and now the Steelies and Browns are moving in. Hopefully I can hook my first Steelie this fall/winter. I’m used to swinging streamers on my 4wt on the small local streams for Browns and Brookies. I can’t wait to get after them. Thanks for the awesome video.
Absolutely AWESOME video!!!! Love the camera work, love the humor, love the scenery, the fact that you use a cradle to land your Steelhead, and every other aspect of this video ---- GREAT JOB!!!!! (I thought that I was the only one who remembered with vivid detail each and every fish I have ever caught) Give us some more of these caliber videos please and thank you!!!!!!!!
Great video. I'm in Baltimore, Maryland but I came out this past August /September for Chinooks, Pinks, Chums, & Cohos. The Skeena and Kitimat were a blast. I'm definitely coming out for the Winter Run Steelhead in the next few years. What a beautiful place.
All around fantastic video. Informative, tons of great realistic time frame footage (especially for us newbies), great morals and values for sustainability and nurturing nature,. Great work. Fishing video’s could really take after the way you’ve done it (including morals and values).
I really enjoyed watching that. Such as amazing scenery and well put together. Top marks. And that ninja catch with the net at the end was simply priceless. If you ever fancy coming to England your welcome to be my gillie any time. Tight lines
Hey captain quin me and my dad and a couple of friends are going fishing for monster steelhead! On Saturday 3-21-15 it's going to be a blast we are going to Idaho can't wait
fucking awesome video. From content to production to your personalities this is extremely well done. if fishing shows were like this I would watch them.
lol claiming that fish haha Quinn you weasel . I love your videos jokes aside. I've been doing better in the tributaries here in southern Ontario. I remember asking you for advice. I got my timing improved. you were right it's all about timing when you don't have such beautiful rich watersheds. here I fish small tribs that dump into lake Ontario on the North side. so our runs are dwarfed by yours. but going after lots of rain proves successful. I would go a couple days after lots of rain, when it's safer and the water isn't all chocolate milk like, but still high. I was amazed how previous pieces of water turned into large runs that held lots of fish. the river totally transforms after heavy extensive rains. thanks for the those many moons ago. my most successful presentation under the float is a bead in the shades of red pink or orange, and a pink worm. this fall I want to try flies but I'm not sure what a sure shot is. what's a good fly pattern under a float that has true tested precedence? I like the way egg sucking leeches look. it would be nice hooking up with one. what are you favorite Autumn run flies to use? also what's your favorite presentations for brown trout?
you need some more long videos like this, they are great to turn on while i tie fly's, reline all my poles, clean gear, whatever takes a little time to do.
Great Videos!! Always entertaining! Wish you were a local Washington State guide because you would be a blast to go Steelhead fishing with! Keep up the excellent video work!
Cap: Big time salmon/steelheader in BC/AK. Spend lots of time on Skeena, Kitimat, Kildala, and other stellar rivers. Don't expect you to give away the farm, but any chance you'll give a a fellow fish-chaser a clue about what Skeena trib you're on in this video?
i like all your stuff. the "Raw Rain" parody was awesome. i went to school with the owner of that little venture. i chuckled when he told me what his million dollar idea was.
Dude nice fish! I got to trespass to catch big fish! but well worth it!..and catching steal head where they say there is none barbless hook and artificial bait on 6 pound test.
Amazing video. Great place. I'm from Ontario... the fishing in Ontario is not even close to as good as it looks at your place. Nice Steelhead BTW!!! Always watching new fishing videos. keep it up!!! :)
Hands down best steelhead fishing show I've seen yet! Fixing to go hunt some down myself here in WA state; been real good fishing this winter and this show has me all jazzed up to go play! Wish I was close enough to help be a part of the show - love to film and create video art! Would be cool to fish the Skeena system some day - will look forward to the next episode!
If I lost that many in a row I'd be changing the hook size bigger. Ha ha. Good stuff showing such a healthy fishery.
