I could almost picture the people living in those houses 80 years ago. Sitting on the porch in the rocking chair, pies in the window to cool, sipping iced tea. Tin roof houses I assume makes those houses at least 80 years old. Tin roof would've been an original roof.
I love the juxtaposition of dilapidated buildings with overgrown mailboxes, or "Dead End" signs, like you have here. It adds a poignancy that is palpable, knowing there were people living their lives in that very spot at one point. On a different note, I'll bet I'm not the only one of your subscribers who finds themselves yelling at you/the screen saying, "Go left! Go left! Go right! Yesssssssss!" when watching as you drive through!! 😄
Isn’t that something? We’ve got homeless sleeping on the streets and sidewalks to the tune of 40,000 people here in Los Angeles and this quaint Georgia town is fairly vacant with stretches of empty houses. Not a soul in sight.
Doesn’t make sence hey ? I’ve been watching in you tube all those homeless people in Philadelphia. How sad . Living on concrete trying to sleep with all the traffic the cold how very sad .
That painted Pepsi ad! I always enjoy seeing those! The older, the better! What a great little town! I'm bet it was sure something in it's day! Thanks for another awesome video!
When Hollywood makes films about the apocalypse, the whole world thinks that this is a set, it turns out that it is not - this is real life in the USA.
I found your page by happenstance but I scrolled through your videos just to see if you had some in the south and I find Bartow, that’s my county! V cool
Bartow Georgia , that's the hometown of robby wells. If I remember correctly, he tried to run for president of the united states . He was also the head football coach at the university of savannah back in 2009.
Very beautiful, rustic, calm, haunting, isolated and boring for young people, cos there is no much development like in the big towns and entertainment,as such young people may go crazy in places like those
Lots of history here. Love the old buildings and houses. I wonder how the Civil War impacted this town. I'm guessing all the overgrown areas were once farmland.
The ambient noise and the slow meander around these distressed towns add an element of pathos and heightens the sense of loss.

Some of those houses look like they were built back in the early 1900's and abandoned by the 1950's
Never heard of Bartow before. Need to look it up. Interesting vid as always❤

When you don't invest in infrastructure.
Love your channel man, keep making this fascinating content
Thanks so much, lots of adventures coming up!
Nice video. I would love to revitalize those old store fronts. Beautiful blue sky!
What a beautiful little town. Your video was so alive with history
Near Augusta, Ga
Thanks!
Back from the "other side."
Ready to search for paint again. 😆
I have been wondering how you were! Thanks so much Linda! I got some arrows waiting for one of the cities I just filmed, it'll be coming up soon lol!
They do seem to keep some of the houses in order even though no one lives there

Pretty sad for a town that's
only 1 sq. mile
You filmed this brilliantly. Very natural sound. No radio, or music. A dying town of small America. 😳🤔🕔🕔
I go through this town when I’m driving to Evans. I love it.
Wow those old buildings

I dont live far from here in Chatsworth Ga
It's so green n spacious n pretty. I love the natural landscape. Reminds me if the Caribbean
1:16 - those houses may be going to Hell but at least someone was thoughtful enough to give that fire hydrant a nice fresh coat of paint...!
i wonder what this place was like 30 years ago in like 1990 or 93
Wow interesting structures nature reclaims itself as well
Ttear down a few byond repairs ,clear lots ,get some realtors for all the land
I love the old downtown - so many cute buildings with a lot of personality and they are in good shape-

Now I finally made it, final level of poverty.
Todo tiempo pasa y queda el recuerdo de un pasado que ya nunca volverá y queda en soledad y territorio como pueblo fantasma 👻

Looks like the movie the road,,,😢 thanks a lot,,
Is there anybody living in that town?
Have you been to Indiana ?
Yes I have. I'll be doing some of those videos soon!
Dead End ... that´s for sure ...
Barrow is about 60 miles south of fort Gordon ga
One awful place for USA army basic training
very sad
Come to Michigan. We can show you many deserted towns!
I love going to Michigan! Cant wait to do more videos
Hard to believe this is America
fire hydrant was well kept
Looks like the town in Children Of The Corn.
No one and nothing left
На гугл картах не найти этого ...
Obviously no jobs. People have to move closer in to work. Too bad, looks like a quaint small town.
Ghost town!
How do you pick these places on the map??
I have a pretty good knack for finding crazy stuff lol. This one to be honest, I ran into by accident.
That fire hydrant @ 1:15 looks out of place to me. 👨🚒🧯🔥🚒
almost as much as a fast food place would look.
