Ah! Les Menuries! That was the first ever ski resort i went to. I was 14 at the time in 2004, I went as part of a school group. Together with another school we had a plane from Manchester all to ourselves, then 3 coaches from Lyon to the resort. We block-booked the entire hotel that sits just below the Church. It was cheap n cheerful. The food was terible. The carpets stank of foul beer. The ski locker rooms smelled of years worth of sweaty ski boots. Despite this, we had a great time, and I even got to ride a Poma Egg Gondola!
Sounds like a great adventure for a 14 year old. My first ever trip to the three valleys was with the Eurostar ski train, I think back in 2014. It was convenient and I could take all my ski luggage with no problems.
That was exciting. The scariest part though was that first lift. I've never seen one like that before. It's like riding standing up in half a birdcage.
Great video ! i will be there next winter, looks great there !
Cheers! Plenty to ski at 3 Valleys... Enjoy!

Yep, that's an interesting lift and there are others at 3 valleys I'll hopefully post when the time comes.
