- Hi sweeties! One of my long terms subscribers send me a big box full of Dutch things and foods that I missed so much! In this video I will be unpacking them and take a closer look at what we have :) I will also make a video in the future in which I will eat some of these things ^_^ Thank you for watching and thank you so much Monique for sending me all of these amazing things! ♥

Hi! I just recently found you a few months ago from your McD's Happy meal vid. I listen to that one quite often for sleep. I just wanted stop by and let you know that Hollandaise sauce is used alot in the US. Its great on green asparagus ( I make roast chicken,cous cous and asparagus and drizzle the sauce. Also, a good dip for boiled or baked artichoke and the ever popular brunch dish " Eggs Benedict". Thank you for helping my spazzy self calm down and get some sleep! Xo

Aaa ik hoop echt dat je snel een keertje een Nederlandse video opneemt. Zoveel jaren geleden waren dat een van de standaard dingen die ik keek om in slaap mee te vallen. Ik weet nog dat ik je engelse accent in het Nederlandse spreken zo chill vond! En nu kom ik je ineens weer tegen yay!
This is unbelievable, except for the King mints, I knew what almost all the other food items were (including what the sponges represented) and I recalled the videos you made with these items or where you talked about them. All that’s missing is the spreadable meat and herring! Don’t you have hollandaise sauce mix in Canada? If not, you can certainly get it from the US. Oh my gosh, I love this video, it’s crazy wonderful and I enjoyed every second in a way that was different from the way I experience your other videos, it’s like I was excited for you or watching in anticipation. I almost felt sad, there’s no place like home and this had to make you miss home even more than you always do. Enjoy the stuff!
That is so awesome! Yes we do have hollandaise sauce here but it tastes nothing like the Dutch one from a pack ^_^ It tastes very overpowering here in Canada and I usually order it on the side after learning my lesson the hard way and my eggs benedict bread was soaked in it XD. I actually do not miss home as much as you might think. The beautiful architecture and food yes but that is mostly it to be honest :) It's not something that keeps me busy on a daily basis but seeing all these things sure brought back some great memories from the past! It was also just super thoughtful which made me emotional, especially after filming. It means a lot to me!
My grandmas sister in law was Dutch and always had Dutch candy and I remember loving it!

wat mooi om je zo blij en verrast te zien Ilse, het lijkt Sinterklaas wel! IDe Hema gaat helemaal los met het tompoes artikelen, er is nu ook al nagellak en een koffer in de tompoes kleuren. En de Droste fabriek staat aan het Spaarne in Haarlem! Wat lief van Monique om je dit te sturen❤ Enjoy it all🤗
Ik woonde 10 minuten lopen bij de droste fabriek vandaan ^_^ Kan me nog herinneren jaren geleden dat er een brand was dat ik kon zien van mijn voordeur! Ja zeker! Wat grappig dat de Hema all die tompoes dingen heeft! Ik vraag me af waarom haahaha.
@@TheWaterwhispersASMR wat grappig! Ik woon sinds 4 jaar in Noord en fiets zo vaak langs het Spaarne langs de fabriek waar nu appartementen in zijn. De Hema is goed bezig met madeliefjes (heb glazen en tel tasje) en ook met de worsten: t-shirts, opblaasbare voor in het water. Goede marketing en het werkt! Ik weet idd ook je video met madeliefjes nog, deed ik vroeger ook

I'm not sure how close you live to the Michigan border but in Grand Rapids there is a dutch grocery store called Vanderveens and Holland Michigan is not too far from Grand Rapids.
There are Dutch stores here in the GTA but it is incredibly expensive ;)

Hi Ilse. I also moved from the Midwest to New England in 2013. We have some thunderstorms (more this year than usual), but I really, REALLY mis the intense storms from back home. I’m wondering if you had thunderstorms in The Netherlands, and in any case whether you enjoy them?
There are thunderstorms in the Netherlands but more so in the south of the country and I lived more up north. Here in Toronto we get many more thunderstorms and I love it :D I totally understand that you miss those!

It was hard for me to focus on what she was showing and saying because of the constant hair behind the ear, in font of the ear, behind, in front. Why?
Because SHE sometimes doesn't know what to do with her hair. People have those type of days sometimes. Not all people but some do, like me :p. Lol we are all just human with our own habits and quirks. I hope that is enough of an explanation?
