  • We praise God that a brand-new year has finally arrived! Many of us are filled with hope, wondering what this year holds. Some may have drafted plans for their family, career, or travel. Yet, there are others who feel burdened by responsibilities. Some are even weighed down by regrets from the past, unable to see a clear future. They may be asking, "Does God have a plan for me?"
As we step into this year, our God assures us of His faithfulness. In Matthew chapter 1, the author introduces us to God's sovereign plan to redeem His people. Through this passage, we see how God worked throughout history, orchestrating His redemptive plan in the person of Jesus Christ-the promised Messiah-whom God sent to "save His people from their sins" (v. 21).
Jesus is the focal point of history and the fulfillment of God's promises in the Old Testament.
How should we respond to God’s redemptive plan?
    1. Place our trust in God.
    2. Put aside our fears.
    3. Prioritize Christ in our lives.
