It could also be the same code reused. We see the same scenario happen in half life 1 and quake 1 where they have the same flicker pattern due to the goldsrc being a modified version of the quake engine. Heck they still even have the same flicker pattern in half life:alyx!

I was only disappointed that this episode didn't come sooner. I completely agree. I watched one guy yesterday very early streaming while I was downloading my copy. He rushed so much, not reading anything,zero observations, complaining literally about everything, died 50 times in 2 hours and then rage quit...Then I started to play, I'm 46 years old, and felt like a happy little child.

I streamed this for a couple of hours. Was great until game crashed in the bar. :-( PC - MSI GTX 4070 Super, Ryzen 7800x3d, 32 GB DDR5 4600Mhz and on an SSD. I was on high and epic settings getting over 140 FPS consistently at 1440p (my monitor is 1440p and caps at 144 FPS). Went into the bar, got almost no frames, did the cutscene, and crash to desktop. Ahhh, it's still a STALKER title! Lol

IMO the mutants seem a bit too spongy from my first 4 hours of playtime on veteran. I'm fine with them killing me quick but it feels weird when it takes a few mags of 5.45 to kill a humanoid mutant

You Are The Master! The game is beautiful even on my lowly XSX and creamy-smooth with VRR. I’ve only played for 4 hours but zero visual bugs. 1 audio bug once talking to Warlock. I get the complaints but to me the game is joyous. Such a buzz to see The Zone in such high fidelity! Feels familiar but new all at once.

I was expecting a janky nigh unplayable mess since it's day one and all. But the game was pretty smooth Only rarely did the game stutter. Rarely did textures not spawn in. And not even a single crash at least for me. Honestly only had 1 bug that made me restart which was the pda map not loading. Honestly, great work by gsc. I've played all the OG titles (Clear Sky is my favorite, fuck you lol) since they released numerous times except SoC.... No mods, that I can find, to fix the weapons. But random streamers who ain't STALKERs won't play it "right."
My only complaint about the game is that the day/night cycle feels too fast for me so far. Maybe I’ll get used to it but I’m just beginning to get really immersed in the night and the sun comes up and vice-versa. Much too fast imo.
@@MrMightyZ They should've given us more options for tweaking things like how long it takes 24 hours to pass in game, how long daytime hours are, disable headshot sounds, and other immersion breaking shit that was added for whatever reason.

It feels like STALKER 2 was originally the headcanon of a STALKER fan as the originals came out, the devs picked and chose what did and didn't work in the original trilogy. Lore and (mostly) gameplay wise, it all works so well as a STALKER title.

(well, maybe DJ Peach Cobbler, but he is crazy) 😀I have a little sugestion: will you ever try to make a gameplay video with authentic voice-acting? 🙂 I don´t speak ukrainian myself (I´m from Czech Republic), but hearing all of this NPCs speaking "perfect US english" in the Zone suddenly feels... Strange. For me, the HUGE part of the atmosphere was use of the ukrainian language, occasionally "spiced up" by piece of really broken and heavy "slavic accent" english. Anyone feels the same? 🙂

It sucks they still need a bit of work and we got a bit of a cyberpunk release situation on our hands, but it's not all bad, the games not so hard if you go clear sky style and put a bunch of upgrades into your suit and gear ASAP, penetration and quality weapons really make a big difference out here now, but its not without faults the mutants being so spongy is bumming a lot of people out, the mutants, and dogs especially, theyre taking cover if you jump on objects trying to avoid them, idk where they got the idea to program that, i used to think the dog ai in the originals was dumb as nails, but i cant believe they upped the ante, then made everything take 3-5 point blank buckshot shells, then the bloodsuckers take "most of your ammo" according to online feedback, unless theres a trick im missing so far the random spawns behind you everywhere, cause guys only spawn within a set range, is kinda hit or miss for immersion, sometimes some other stalkers help out against some mutants, most of the time, hostiles are spawning on your 3 or 9 oclock blind spots Here's an anecdote from tonight, in the garbage bandit camp I had everyone glitch out in a circle standing still after a random bloodsucker chased me into camp, then randos spawned in an alley behind the building and aggroed on me, but if I shot back, the whole bandit camp would attack me, so I had to reload the save and run away There's some good stuff out here, and the game looks great, and you can have some fun gunfights, but most of 8 hours I've spent so far have been walking around enjoying the scenery, revisting old locales, looting, so much looting, compared to the original trilogy, pretty much every single building is full of food, booze and ammo, so you're never struggling for anything, which kinda goes against the theme of it all, or having to run like hell away from the 8 random spawn boars that just spawned cause i dont feel like using the 8 medkits i just collected, just praying i had my spaz or eliminator Also *minor spoiler alert* inadvertently finding and having to shoot leshy as youre exploring before you leave the lesser zone felt flat out wrong and like a slap in the face Tldr; we got a cyberpunk situation here boys, it happens, theres some good and some bad, but i bet in like 1-3 years itll be one of the best games we've ever seen

Dude don't worry about the graphics, we don't care that much, some of us are freeloaders who won't buy the game so we can't be critical there, some of us watch the gameplay cuz we're too much of a pussy to play it for ourselves. Just focus on the gameplay and the commenary and don't forget to have fun.
I find the combat too easy even on veteran. Ended up clearing the sphere of soldiers with skif's pistol during the mission. Out of 9 deaths so far 7 of them have been from falling lol. One from an anomaly one from.. a group of flesh..

The best thing about the game is that the stalkers still play the OG guitar tracks, absolutely amazing...

Do we know if difficulty affects enemy health?
Sounds the same as CoP, 5.45 is highly inefficient in killing mutants. You need a whole ass mag to kill a regular blind dog there.

Weird, there was no electro anomaly in the tunnel at the beginning for me and I did not see a soldier die. Just the one that was already dead there.
Really, I was walking and wondering why there was two paths there, it seems it was to evade the electro.
Same thing happened to me. Maybe it was a bug on release day that got patched out later.

Dude don't worry about the graphics, we don't care that much, some of us are freeloaders who won't buy the game so we can't be critical there, some of us watch the gameplay cuz we're too much of a pussy to play it for ourselves. Just focus on the gameplay and the commenary and don't forget to have fun.
I find the combat too easy even on veteran. Ended up clearing the sphere of soldiers with skif's pistol during the mission. Out of 9 deaths so far 7 of them have been from falling lol. One from an anomaly one from.. a group of flesh..
