- In this video, we take a quick first look at the newly re-designed Resolute from @CMMG chambered in @hornady 6mm ARC. We top this rig off with an @ArkenOptics SH-4 Gen II and a KGM R65 to keep things quiet. We will revisit this platform in a future video out to more extended distances.

I have one Im trying to put together, but can never find the ammo for. On that note, id say its either pretty popular or only select stores where I live carry the rounds and thats been only 1 store. How do you say in English, WAAH WAAH!🤣

@@silver4drrx828it's definitely a reloader round. Especially because most store rounds are very underpowered, you need to find bolt-action specific rounds for them them to be full power
Yeah it would be great if you could get the ammo for less than .308.
I love my 6 ARC bolt gun. It’s the second most accurate rifle. 6 ARC is underrated.

@@jacobjohnson6766 same, the 6arc was made to improve on everything they did with the grendel and it has the ballistics are better everything seems to be better on the 6ARC, i love mine
Best thing is that you can switch from grendel to 6 for about 150 dollars only

I have a very similar setup. 16" 6arc with an arken ep5 5-25. It's perfect for tripod work
Awesome . I've been waiting to see more people do reviews on the 16" 6mm ARC.. Hey .. a little bird told me with almost the same terminal ballistics of the .308 , a Primary arms DMR HUD ACSS .308 scope will work with the 6mm ARC round. .. that would be an awesome video.
A little bird tell me the navy seals are using this 6 mm arc. And they're using it in short barreled guns and getting great results. I really don't know why nobody on TH-cam is actually getting into this thing like they did the 300 black out. Wouldn't it be nice to have a 9" 10" barrel gun shooting out to a 1000 yd I've actually been told its capable of it I'd like to see.
6mm ARC is an amazing round, now if we could just get cheaper ammo for it. PSA AAC ammo will hopefully come through some day, maybe even steel case.

Been trying to get an 18 inch upper in that caliber, it's always out of stock it seems like.

Have a early CMMG Endeavor MK4 in 6ARC with a Vortex Strike Eagle
Runs great. Also have 2 Arken’s sitting a SH moa
And a EP5 mil mil. Think I’m going to do 6ARC in a bolt gun next and top it with My EP5 Arken next!

Great looking setup, you are so lucky in the USA, having the opportunity to try out these rigs. In the UK it is a nightmare even finding some where to shoot and obtain the relevant license, I for one can only dream, however really enjoy the videos, thx.

CMMG makes reliable barrels, lowers, uppers, and rifles. I went with complete uppers for my 6.5 Creedmoor AR-10 platform. I went with a 24" barrel, and for my 5.56 NATO, I went with an 18" barrel on my AR-15 rifle.
I really hope 6ARC picks up in Canada. Would love to get a bolt gun in this calibre. Good ballistics and light recoiling would make it a delight.
Not gonna happen. Canada will ban it for being a assault caliber. Mark my word.

Get an ARCA rail (there are lots of them to chose from) and a good ARCA tripod and it will hold anything like a vice, without having to mess with multiple saddles and silliness like that.
I built a 6ARC on Aero Precision receivers. Been using the Midway 6.5 Grendel magazines and wile tight in the mag well, they have worked for me so far.
6mm arc is an amazing little rifle cartridge and I cannot understand why the military did not adopt it as their standard rifle cartridge!
Agreed, great cartridge. Unfortunately, the way the government works they would waste hundreds of billions of dollars and take 20 years to implement.
I have a 20" 6ARC and plan on getting a 12.5" in the future. I've also had issues with ASC mags. The only mags I haven't had trouble with were duramags, even if they look a little goofy

@Shawn Sanders Yes. Duramag markets them for both calibers. The followers are the same for ASC mags between 6 and 6.5, they're just painted a different color
I just ordered a 12.5” barrel from Mos-Tek. Plan on using an SBR lower and Law tactical folder to make a compact long range rifle. Stoked.
If they made a bullpup version of this, they could call it the "poor man's DSR-1" as a major selling point.

Still prefer the 6.5 Grendel for hunting but 6 arc is fun
Couldn’t find any mags to work for my 6ARC build til I tried Duramag’s 7.62x39, these have worked flawlessly.
Have you tried the Duramag made for 6.5 grendel?
I am officially building a 6arc PRC.
It’s just to cool of a round on a lighter platform and easy recoil. Couldn’t be happier.
6 mm ARC Is Excellent For 1200 Yards & Some Change All Day Long. I Have 2 San Tan Tactical In 6 mm ARC. However My Go To Is The 6.5 PRC Which Has Better BC’s Over 600 Than Many .338’s BC’s At 500. Thats Good Anyday. I Only Use BANISH Or CGS Suppressors. I Tell All People Suppressors With Welding In Them Look For Another Suppressor. Nice Coverage. Keep It Coming.
Nice review, good looking rig. I'm overwhelmed with all the "new" calibers and realize I'm turning into the FOG that tells everyone to stay off his lawn. I'll go stare at the sun and remember the good old days when we were still afraid of fire.

Beautiful gun . As far as the larger optic ,my older eyes needs the magnification. I've got an Arken Ep5 5-25x56 on my 6.5 Grendel lol 😆.

That gun I've been keeping my eyes and ears open on that I'm thinking of that for either my kids or a coyote rifle.
I use my ASC.224 Valkyrie 6.8SPCII mag for my 20” 6ARC they have been running perfectly for the past two years (and they still do)till I got a amend2 mag I tried a few times it/they keep nosediving and jamming up using the single stack 10 round amend2 magazine

When third party ammunition suppliers start doing 6arc it’s popularly should soar.
I know it’s not this channels usual style but I would love a face of video between the arc, Valkyrie, and the 6mm ar chad built.
@jacob the Valkyrie would have an an advantage if they used chads build vs this off the shelf 6 arc. My money would have been on the 6 mm ar.
I have had a lot of magazine issues as well. If you look you will see that the bolt likes to lock back on the magazine, not the bolt catch. I saw this happen in your video, as well as my experience. I'm still searching for a good 6mm arc mag.

Great performing rifle! 6ARC has had problems cycling properly in a AR platform , but appears CMMG may have figured out the secret sauce????
Mostly due to magazines, really...
Mine has the ddin upper with no issues and im using a 6.5 grendel mags with no issues
I've had no problem at all. I'm using an Aero lower with a Grendel Hunter 6mm ARC upper. Not a single failure. Took a nice hog with it. It's sitting in the freezer now. I use Amend2 magazines. Any failures will be a FTF, not FTE. The mag has to be a right-side feed.
I can't recall any 6.5 gredel builds from you guys.

Love my 6mm Arc, don't love I can never find the ammunition for it all that often.
Man all these new rounds are like the weather. .300 blackout, 7.62x35, 6.8 spc, 6.8 spc II, 6.5 grendel 6.8 Fury, 6 arc and of course 5.56. Too much to keep track of. What makes this one the new super-special-must-have super round?
You can shoot 1000 yards with an 8 inch barrel

like the worn out 243 win I had... the heavier the bullets are the more they grab the rifling's... if ya load up some 105gr for it? could hit an apple 5 times over at 150 yards in 3 seconds with the bolt action.
6mm ARC is cool, but I'm not buying one till I see a reliable magazine

Duramag cures most magazine failures.
I think the US army ahould have had SIG make a hybrid hogh pressure case for 6mm ARC and see how fast they could push it out of a 16 in SPEAR LT. If it didnt have feeding issues or bolt problems it would be incredible
Oh feces, a rifle length gas system on a 16"? I guess I didn't realize that was a thing. I know of the mid-lengths for 16" of course but not rifle.

Use a Duramag 6.5 grendel mag it'll feed everytime as long as you keep the gun good and lubed

Is the barrel length overly important with the 6ARC cartridge? Doesn't super appear to be!!!
Everything I've seen says no I'd like to see some ballistics tables on it and somebody actually push one in a shorter barrel. I'd like to see somebody with a lab radar or chrono show us what it's like and different barrel links and really get into it.

How come nobody shoots 100 yard groups with that rifle? Is it because it is a 2" rifle at 100 yards? Ten inch plate at 300 yards is easy for a 2 moa rifle.

6 arc is officially one of my new favorite cartridges, but it still doesn't quite compare to the 204 Ruger in my opinion.
I think all the cmmg weapons are a little tight in the mag well n mag release at first. After couple hundred rounds it's smooth as butter

Why are there grooves on the bolt for a forward assist when there isn't a forward assist? Otherwise a good looking rifle.
When you added suppressor did you notice that the chamber, ammo is really getting dirty? I have the same gun and when i suppressed it i started getting a LOT of fouling in the chamber and my ammo was black when I pulled the clip.
Any suggestions? Smaller gas tube?
I’ve looked for this rail bubble is this an airgun bubble I’d think not but might be. Also my issue with my new arc build is brass & bullet 80 to 103 grs a new cartridge, with limited ammo. Hornady is to have another run soon, just not soon enough.
6arc in 16" for shorter range? It seems like below 100yrds this may be a better option than 556? I don't need to reach out past 200yrds. Sightlines where I live seldom go past 200. This seems to pack a better punch than 556 even in close?
There has been talk and videos about 300 blk loading and blowing up 223/5.56 ARs. Now my question is can 6.5 Grendel ammo accidentally load into 6mm ARC.
When ammo is regularly available ill invest.

I have a 6 Grendel, and have shot a 6 ARC. Lets just say the ARC is lacking...

I've seen some of these rifles that cost way more than my old dpms, but mine hasn't malfunction like these do. Yeah at 500 yards my shit prolly ain't as accurate, but my shit don't stop working tho.
Use ASC 6mm ARC mag, or cut 2mm off front wall of 6.5 Grendel mags
Try a 6.5 Grendel or 7.62x39 c products / Dura mag
That's what I use. I've had nothing but problems with ASC.
@Q. Lawrence same here. I bought 2 Asc mags for my 7.62x39, and one wouldn't load, and the other wouldn't unload because of the fallower tilt and mag design. The gun shop took them back and sent them back and sold me 2 dura/mags, and I haven't looked back. They run the 6.5 grendel and the 7.62x39 without a glitch at all.
@@billjensen6216 You're lucky that it was just 2. I had 12 of them and they all sucked. Never got refunded for the 10 that I bought directly from ASC. The other 2 were from Anderson. Anderson refunded me.
I have a ton of .243 projectiles between 85-100 grains. Most of them are 85 grains. Any thoughts with a 16" CMMG barrel. Looking for a gun to shoot 400-500 yards
Not overly impressed with my banshees so scared to buy more cmmg. I wish pws or sig mcx was made in 6 arc or 6.5 grendel
A Sig MCX in 6ARC would be the ticket.

If the ACS MAGS don't work what about the Duramag that also works well with 6.5 grendel?
I have a bunch of data on mag feeding/brands etc. I’ve wanted to share but have not had the funds or time to make a proper video, especially in relation to 7.62x39 and Mil ammo.
What kinda muzzle velocities you getting out of that 16"? About 2,590??
For 108gr ELD they should be getting around 2,569 if that's what they're shooting

@@toddparsons2980 No, but the ballistic coefficient of the heavy bullets mean they don't slow down much down range. That 108 ELD-M is still supersonic at 1,000 yards.
