it seriously makes me wanna puke, how much this kind of music meant to me when i was a kid, never having anyone to share it with, and leaving it all behind. i dunno its a really weird corrupted feeling of nostalgia. its like this music was alluding to a life that i thought i would have someday but never got.

Heard this on the U of VA student radio while driving into Charlottesville the other night from my home in Knoxville, TN. College stations always play the most interesting music.
This piece with its vocal style, production sound, and energy captures for me something of the 60's British Invasion. I heard it once and was hooked.

This song popped up on my Spotify and I thought it was from the 80s so I'm glad to see these guys are a current band and I can look forward to them releasing some new material in the future

I saw them tonight and got to meet both of them before the gig. Not only are they the best band from the west coast right now, but they're the nicest guys. Right after the performance, Benjamin ran off stage to go sell and sign t-shirts. THAT is dedication.
I am an Oregon native, and the name of this band has been heard through my own ears several times, but I never listened to them until now. Wow. Now I know why Modest Mouse's bestselling album GNFPWLBN was so good.

I know what U mean. We played it in the car on the way to Cleveland & on the way home. Had it playing in the car again all day today. Now my wife wants it on her Ipod even though it has only Keane on it. Thank God they opened for Keane and are getting more exposure. They seem really nice on stage & after they were done playing in Cleveland, some kids walked up to the stage and asked them who they were because they loved it. So, the tour exposure is working and I feel happy for them.

These guys were awesome! I saw them in Philly last night opening for Keane. Great entertainers, singer has a great voice and the drummer is the man!
Sometimes finding new music takes effort, and it tends to be worth that effort when you stumble across amazing musicians. Your parents no longer spoon feed you and you shouldn't rely on top 40 radio to either!

Saw them last night in Toronto opening for Keane. They were EXCELLENT live ! Had their latest album for a while now, but man, they sounded great live. Truly fantastic and yes, the drummer IS THE MAN !
I was FINALLY over on the west coast staying for a bit and I happened to check their myspace tour dates. I had JUST missed a show in the area I was in...I pretty much cried.

Saw em in Eugene a couple weeks ago, small show so it was really cool to have all the time we wanted to talk to them afterwards. I even stole the poster from the bulletin board before the show, so I could have a really cool souvenir autograph.

i how i love telecasters!!!!!! the combination of their music (excluding the voice and the absence of the back and forth loud-quiet combat lol) and his similar tele made this reminiscent, for me, of the Pixies. so i have to love it!

Saw them again yesterday opening for Keane in Cleveland. Wow these guys are talented. I'm actually kind of pissed I missed them in my hometown (Buffalo) the other day. I'm gonna spread the word about these guys though. Great music and just fantastic live performances.

@Face2daEast Yes I Agree These guys shoulda been huge 2 years ago when i first heard of them they have great songs on all albums its a shame i hope they dont change there style to much being it never took off i guess will see should be a new album in 2012
a departure from their last album...that is for sure. i like the vocals per usual. last album was techno folk-like whereas this sounds very urban ala Interpol/pre Joshua-u2. It would be interesting to see how well they could reproduce that song live as a power duo. also reminds me of the direction a group like Pinback has taken with Nothing to Nowhere.
