So many reactors know nothing about The Warning, or have gotten wrong information about these ladies so this is a brief history of the band… and remember, The Warning is almost always better live than a music video or studio recording. You cannot get the passion and stage presence of a live performance from a music video. There are some exceptions but this is the general rule. The Warning is made up of 3 sisters from Monterrey, Mexico. Daniela, Paulina, and Alejandra Villerreal Velez. • They started early. Their parents loved all types of rock music and there was always music, or concert videos playing. They loved the aspect of performing on stage and dreamed of doing that. • In 2008 their dad asked Daniela if she wanted to learn another instrument (along with the piano). She chose the guitar. Around the same time Paulina chose the drums (she was 6). At that time Ale’ was still too young but when she turned 6, she wanted to play the bass but had to wait until she was 7 to be big enough to hold and play it. They then realized they could play those 3 instruments together and they began playing as a band. • In 2014 they were playing in their basement studio that their dad made (selling his Harley Davidson motorcycle to afford it) and decided to make a video for their grandparents to see how far they had progressed. The file was too big to just email so dad uploaded the video onto TH-cam and sent the grandparents the link. The video went viral and was seen by millions (well over 25 million to date) include Metallica. Kurt Hammet shouted out Paulina on the drums. The girls wanted to go to the prestigious Burklee College of Music to learn musical theory and more and were trying to raise the money to do so. Ellen heard this and when they were on the show, she (and Target) presented each of the girls with a check for $10,000 so they could attend. • Because Alejandra was only 10 years (well below the minimum age to attend) they sent in an audition tape to show she was capable of handling the music and classes. Pau sings lead on about 25% of the songs (either while drumming, or while at the keyboard, or just out front). Ale’ is a little shy about singing lead but steps in and sings lead when needed. All 3 can literally jump in and sing lead on any song if needed (with no drop-off in quality) and their harmonies in songs are simply amazing. • They have all given master classes on their instruments, and song writing, and performing (even at as young as 18 years old). • In 2015 they released an EP called Escape the Mind. It was a mix of different genres as they sorted out their musical style. • They released their first album in 2017 called XXI Century Blood (21st Century Blood). • They released their second album in 2018 called Queen of the Murder Scene. It was a concept album telling the story of a young woman’s journey from desire, to love, to infatuation, to obsession, to psychotic, to murder, to remorse, and finally to suicide. It was an amazing album and was up for, and won, several Independent Music awards in 2019. • In 2021 Metallica asked 53 artists to take any of the 12 iconic songs from their Black album and do a cover (any way they wanted to) for their Black List album, commemorating the 30th anniversary of the Black album. Alessia Cara (Canadian pop star) was asked to participate but had no idea what to do. Because she shares the same management group as The Warning, she contacted them for help. It was difficult to do as Alessia was in Canada and The Warning were in Mexico and travel with COVID was not happening. They made it work and developed/recorded this completely re-imagined song in one week. They created the music video with the same logistical restrictions. Because of that you will see that Alessia appears as a projection on the wall in the video as she was not there. It was recorded in an abandoned textile mill outside of Monterrey, Mexico. Lzzy Hale was so taken by the band and in particular Daniela that she presented Dany with a special Gibson Explorer guitar on stage mid-concert. The Teatro Metropolitan CDMX concert was their most important concert to date, as they were playing in Mexico’s most prestigious theater, and they were the only act. For The Warning, take a look at 'Evolve', specifically from the 2023 MTV VMAs. Most of the crowd didn't know them, but they came in and took control of the crowd. Excellent example of stage presence!
Show Them is an original written primarily by Kanami and Miku with The Warning over the web (Zoom?) but it was finished once they were all together in Japan. There is actually a video on The Warning TH-cam channel called: Our first time in Japan with Band-Maid - The Warning Vlog It was a bit of a challenge for the two singers, Dany and Saiki, in that they were both singing in a slightly higher register than normal for either of them. That was at the direction of Kanami. While the sisters of The Warning are fluent in English it's not their normal language either. When they are normally speaking to each other or their team it is in Spanish but they have done so much in English and really worked on it when they were younger they don't have much of an accent to my ears. Pretty much middle American accent. They have commented that they still have to think about it to not have an accent but they really worked on it when they were young. Saiki commented that it was a big help to her to have someone that fluent in English to sing with. As a side note, apparently the two bass players, Misa and Ale, really hit it off well once they finally opened up to each other. They are both shy and normally quiet around new people according to Misa. Ale has commented that she is working on that.
Welcome to the fandom! Both bands are friends and big fans of each other. Was lucky enough to be at their joint concert in Tokyo where they live debuted this song. Me & GF flew 6,000 miles from oHio to Japan! We spent 10 days in Japan. We stayed 5 days in Kyoto & Tokyo each with day trips to Osaka & Himeji. Was an amazing concert & trip! Was an experience we both will cherish forever! Really hoping that they release an official live video of this from that concert too! The Warning is a Power Trio of Sisters from Monterrey, Mexico. Long time fans of each other, they met Band Maid at the Aftershock Festival in 2022, and talked about doing something together. In 2024, that happened. The Warning travelled to Japan for this collaboration, one joint concert and 2 other shows. Interestingly, many BM fans say it sounds like a TW Song and vice versa. The Warning has challenged BM to join them in Mexico and do a song in Spanish. If you look further into The Warning, you’ll find their career is an open book, from the time they were children. Despite being a band for more than 11 years, they are currently only 25, 22 and 20 years old. Alejandra, the Bassist was just 12 when they opened for Def Leppard, and 13 when they opened for The Killers and a crowd of more than 30k. In the last couple years their star has been ascendant, Headlining their own tours, playing at the big European Festivals and opening for, or touring with, the likes of Foo Fighters, Guns and Roses, Three Days Grace, Avril Lavigne, Halestorm, Evanescence, Pretty Reckless, Royal Blood and their long time idols, Muse. In February they are playing 5 sold out, headlining shows in Mexico to a combined crowd of about 50,000. After that, they’re heading in their 3rd South American Tour, before heading back to Europe, for a combination of Festivals and headlining shows (some of which are already sold out). Dive in!…. The song is an original that was originally written by 2 members of Band Maid for this collaboration, with subsequent input and modifications by The Warning when they went to Japan. As a collaboration it is a necessary compromise in styles, and not the best representation of either band’s discography. Welcome to The Warning Army! By the looks of it you've gotten plenty of background info already so let me add a couple suggestions for your list. 'Z' from the Teatro or Pepsi Center is a song that really showcases all of their talents and one of my personal favorites. 'Narcicista' from the Foro Didi, many prefer other versions but this was the debut of their first song in Spanish to tell their critics to f off for not singing in Spanish in front of a Spanish speaking crowd who absolutely loved it. 'Enter Sandman' package deal, start off with the 2014 cover that went viral then add the mv/Teatro/Pepsi versions to see how they make an iconic song completely their own. 'XXI Century Blood' mv, their first music video won several awards and is perhaps the only instance where I would recommend the mv over a good quality live. For The Warning, take a look at 'Evolve', specifically from the 2023 MTV VMAs. Most of the crowd didn't know them, but they came in and took control of the crowd. Excellent example of stage presence!

It was a bit of a challenge for the two singers, Dany and Saiki, in that they were both singing in a slightly higher register than normal for either of them. That was at the direction of Kanami. While the sisters of The Warning are fluent in English it's not their normal language either. When they are normally speaking to each other or their team it is in Spanish but they have done so much in English and really worked on it when they were younger they don't have much of an accent to my ears. Pretty much middle American accent. They have commented that they still have to think about it to not have an accent but they really worked on it when they were young. Saiki commented that it was a big help to her to have someone that fluent in English to sing with.
As a side note, apparently the two bass players, Misa and Ale, really hit it off well once they finally opened up to each other. They are both shy and normally quiet around new people according to Misa. Ale has commented that she is working on that.

Was lucky enough to be at their joint concert in Tokyo where they live debuted this song. Me & GF flew 6,000 miles from oHio to Japan!
We spent 10 days in Japan. We stayed 5 days in Kyoto & Tokyo each with day trips to Osaka & Himeji. Was an amazing concert & trip!
Was an experience we both will cherish forever! Really hoping that they release an official live video of this from that concert too!

The Warning is a Power Trio of Sisters from Monterrey, Mexico. Long time fans of each other, they met Band Maid at the Aftershock Festival in 2022, and talked about doing something together. In 2024, that happened. The Warning travelled to Japan for this collaboration, one joint concert and 2 other shows. Interestingly, many BM fans say it sounds like a TW Song and vice versa. The Warning has challenged BM to join them in Mexico and do a song in Spanish. If you look further into The Warning, you’ll find their career is an open book, from the time they were children. Despite being a band for more than 11 years, they are currently only 25, 22 and 20 years old. Alejandra, the Bassist was just 12 when they opened for Def Leppard, and 13 when they opened for The Killers and a crowd of more than 30k. In the last couple years their star has been ascendant, Headlining their own tours, playing at the big European Festivals and opening for, or touring with, the likes of Foo Fighters, Guns and Roses, Three Days Grace, Avril Lavigne, Halestorm, Evanescence, Pretty Reckless, Royal Blood and their long time idols, Muse. In February they are playing 5 sold out, headlining shows in Mexico to a combined crowd of about 50,000. After that, they’re heading in their 3rd South American Tour, before heading back to Europe, for a combination of Festivals and headlining shows (some of which are already sold out). Dive in!…. The song is an original that was originally written by 2 members of Band Maid for this collaboration, with subsequent input and modifications by The Warning when they went to Japan. As a collaboration it is a necessary compromise in styles, and not the best representation of either band’s discography. Recommend the pro-recorded live performance of The Warning show at the Pepsi Center CDMX, on their channel. 😎👍

Welcome to The Warning Army! By the looks of it you've gotten plenty of background info already so let me add a couple suggestions for your list. 'Z' from the Teatro or Pepsi Center is a song that really showcases all of their talents and one of my personal favorites. 'Narcicista' from the Foro Didi, many prefer other versions but this was the debut of their first song in Spanish to tell their critics to f off for not singing in Spanish in front of a Spanish speaking crowd who absolutely loved it. 'Enter Sandman' package deal, start off with the 2014 cover that went viral then add the mv/Teatro/Pepsi versions to see how they make an iconic song completely their own. 'XXI Century Blood' mv, their first music video won several awards and is perhaps the only instance where I would recommend the mv over a good quality live. All the more impressive considering they were an independant teenage band at that time.
