Get High Paying Video Clients Using This Exact Marketing Plan

  • I wanted to share my exact marketing plan for landing high-paying video clients which I think is very repeatable for anyone.
I broke it down into three steps to make it a bit easier to implement.
This is going to be one of the most tactical videos, so make sure to implement it for your video business.
The first stage for getting high-paying clients is finding a niche.
A lot of people make a mistake here and go broad instead of narrow.
All I mean by finding a niche is that you need to think of the ideal customer that you want to make videos for.
If you don’t do this first, you will have no idea how to craft your message and you will have a very hard time setting up video services.
Here is an example of a niche. When I started, I targeted lawyers and law firms. It’s a very niche to understand, find and sell videos to. Most importantly, it’s a niche that can level up. I can start with a video for one lawyer, then level up to a law firm of five and level all the way up to a law firm of 1000 and government contracts, which is the exact same path I took.
Once you find a niche, stage two is creating an offer and presenting that offer in a very clear way.
Again, a lot of filmmakers think their video is the offer. But most people don’t really need a video. They want what video can do for them. So the offer is presenting that video in a benefit-oriented way. For example, here is a marketing video that is proven to bring you more clients.
On top of that, I usually create a bundle package around that video, so instead of one video, they will get several videos that they could use in many different ways.
And you need to present that offer and the best way to do that is by creating landing pages. Landing pages are stand-alone web pages that have one job. Communicate the offer and capture leads.
They don’t lead to other pages on your website. They walk someone down the exact path you want. As long as you have a niche and an offer that makes sense to the potential client, it will be easy to capture the lead.
Once you have the landing page ready, you need to find the right people and tell them about it.
Now, there are dozens of ways to do this. Back in the day, search engine optimization and Google ads were dominant. Then, it was email marketing. At some point, Facebook ads became the go-to route.
But right now, the best way to get the right people to find you is by using TH-cam ads. We naturally have a leg up here, because we already know how to make videos. But the real power of TH-cam ads is the ability to target the exact right people we are looking for.
The TH-cam ad platform has all the info from Google searches and TH-cam watch history. They give us access to that information and as long as we know who we are talking to, we can target them very specifically. So for about 10-15 dollars a day, you can get started testing out your ads.
Paid adverting works faster than all other marketing methods and has the most power to reach the exact right people.
It takes a while to figure out if you are brand new to it, but it’s well worth the effort.
Now if those three stages are set up correctly when someone lands on the page, they will give you their email and you will follow up with a call.
The great part of this marketing plan is that it takes care of most of the selling for you before you even talk to someone on the phone.
I’ve never been good at sales and I rely on my marketing message.
You can repeat this same exact process over and over again.
Thanks so much for watching. Please give this video a thumbs up and subscribe to this channel for easy to follow filmmaking videos.

If more creatives followed this, we would all be taken more seriously. This is a creative business, not a freelancer. Preach! So needed.

It's hard to know what you love unless you start broad though. But niche is way to go at a certain point.

Can you give an example on how you close the sell though? Like when you get that call what do those calls look like? Closing is just as hard as selling for me I attempted sales years ago and I can present the product in a way that’s appealing but then I always sucked at closing….

I use wix to do it and I usually hire a freelance designer to help if I don’t like wix templates. I’ve also used clickfunnels in the past

I want to add that if you niche down, you run the risk of painting yourself into a corner. If you're doing ONLY a certain type of work for let's say...5 years. You've not got a ton of work from just that niche to show. What if you want to pivot to a different niche? What if you need to expand beyond that niche? You have nothing to show except for the work from an unrelated niche. That said, I think you need to do niche work AND work outside of your niche.

    • @Filmmakingmentor
      @Filmmakingmentor  ปีที่แล้ว

The highest paying companies I know do very niche work. I know food guys that do 50k-100k shoots were a generalist can’t ever compete with. I also work in several niches, but I use the same formula to expand. Shoot a demo for a new niche, create a landing page with it, run ads, get new clients in a new niche. Expand.

Great content as usual, but you really really need a hyphen in high-paying or else the title means something very different. Haha.

This looks more like a youtube ad sales video, terrible, no "marketing plan", just a guy who feels like if he works for youtube ads.

I got dozens of videos covering entirely different techniques. This single technique using niche targeting, landing page and TH-cam ads brings me 6 figures and I’m sharing it. I don’t get anything from TH-cam for sharing this. Just trying to help people. Really strange to see a comment when I’m literally sharing a technique that has gotten me ton of revenue for free. But I guess there are always 1 of a 1000 people that think like you do

What is the most profitable niche for a one-man video production company. I own a Sony 873 DJI drone 4K and FS5 MkII Cinema camera aputure 300mkii and led lights. Product Commercials? Don’t want to do weddings. Real Estate Drone photography? I really get the selling classes but can I get a 1 on 1 with you. 1 conversation would be so valuable. I’m dreampathvisuals onMessenger
