Please forgive my ignorance. I really don't understand why they can't do a CA125 test and/or transvaginal ultrasound along with a pap smear when a woman has her annual exam. Why wouldn't it work as a means of early detection? Obviously, this is an extremely serious disease. It seems in this day and age they should be able to test for it.
CA 125 is not always elevated. The Pap smear only takes cells from the cervix, not the uterus or ovaries. Transvaginal ultrasounds can spot some tumors if they are growing forward....if it is on the back of the ovary and growing out towards the kidney area.
Insurance. They'll cover basic physical exams, but anything with imaging is expensive and time consuming for an annual exam. I'm not saying it's right...it's not. I think a LOT of women would benefit from yearly ovarian ultrasounds. But it would take up a lot of the office time and make ultrasounds harder to get on a prn basis.
I recently completed my treatment for Stage 3C ovarian cancer. I had no symptoms at all. Had it not been for the ascites, I would not have gone to the doctor. I’m so happy to know your story and that you are doing well.
ɮօʊռċɛ օʄʄ first of Islam is religion not a cult. Secondly, do not base your facts on Islamaphobic websites and bs you hear from the media. It is forbidden in Islam to kill innocent people. You truly don’t know anything about Islam judging by what you’re saying. Thirdly, blaming people is really childish. Just so you know I myself am sick. My father also died from cancer. Cancer is the real monster in this world. Since you’re so smart maybe you would know the real cancer causes are endless. It can go from the food we eat (the pesticides), severe depression, anxiety and stress, genetics, etc, it’s pointless to argue with you but I feel sorry for you. May God forgive you.

Hi You don't even know how much hope you have given me and others. I'm 4B HGSC and I need more hope. I went in for a routine Hysterectomy and because the Doctor didn't check me for OC even though my CA125 was elevated (53.9) and my PCM told him he wanted to rule out cancer. Then after surgery, he never told the Pathologist I was BRACA1 and elevated CA125, so they never looked for cancer and now I'm fighting for my life to get past the 5-year death sentence. I'm in remission as of 4/8/2020 but need hope. I'm eating better, working out, supplements and exercise. I also follow Jane McLelland and Joe Tippen Protocols. I am going to watch all of your videos. I am older (54yo) but you still are an inspiration. Thank you so much.
Your comment really touched me and I’m wishing you the best. It’s so frustrating that we can’t always trust our medical professionals to look after us. Get better soon 💕
Thank you so much this actually helped me a lot. My 13 year old sister was diagnosed yesterday but we don’t know whether it’s a cancerous tumor or not. They will be preforming all kinds of tests on her next week. This gave me hope. Please pray for my little angel, very much appreciated!
SO BEYOND HAPPY FOR YOU!!! Your faith and your positive attitude have truly taken care of you. Here's to clear scans and single digit tumor markers for the rest of your long life!!!
Wow I could totally relate, I came across ovarian cancer just like you did a bump on my lower abdomen. Went to the doctor had a CT scan and ended up having to have major surgery where they found a huge mass on my left ovary and also had to take a lymph node out. After the surgery had a pet scan it had metastasized into my liver and my throat. Currently going through chemotherapy and your story makes me feel very hopeful that one day I can become cancer free ISA.
I was recently diagnosed with Stage1 Grade 3 Immature Teratoma Ovarian Cancer and had barely any symptoms before i got a cyst removed and tested. Luckily i only have 2 more rounds of chemo left to go and i will be okay! I watch your videos all the time and i actually mentioned you in my first vlog on my channel i hope you dont mind! So glad to hear the results from your scan!! Sending love and prayers your way girl
Also, your CA-125 doesn't always tell you. No blood work is %100. My doctor said just because that's normal or even out of wack doesn't mean you have or don't have cancer. The only way to tell is to take out the cyst or tumor and they send it to a lab. That's it. Those kinds of texts give then an idea vut if you're in the early stages (which we want) then it doesn't show up un on a ultrasound. Yes a ultrasound will show it. Not always a MRI or CT or even Blood work
Gosh, I'm nervous. I feel tired a lot, pressure in my pelvis (more near my left ovary) like cramps, lower back pain, constipation, bloating, discomfort during sex, weird appetite & vaginal discharge. Many days I'm not hungry at all but I plan meals anyway so my body doesn't starve. I had a transvaginal ultrasound done after so many hospital visits for pelvic pain & bloating they've been dismissing as ibs & they found a mass they are now saying is a cyst on my left ovary. They waited 6wks & plan to have me do another one. I'll be 31 next month. I'm already losing my hair & just had abdominal surgery a few weeks ago because of belly button drainage near a hernia repair I had several years ago. It's all so frustrating.
I’m so happy you kept on top it. Good news like this is wonderful👍 super good news and I hope you will get all this out of your system. God bless you and greetings from New York City! 🙏❤️💚💜💖💙
I don't have ovarian cancer however I had alot of your symtoms except I was having horrible diarrhea and periods I don't have anymore anyway and was just 3 weeks ago diagnosed with colon cancer at 42. Had surgery to remove my tumor.
I saw it on instagram but again I'm so so happy for you!!! great you kicked the cancers butt 💪. Must feel like a relief and so gratheful.. Amazing news!! I didn't know ovarian cancer was so hard to diagnose. The basically found out because they thought you had something else, that's crazy..helpfull you told us yóur story and I hope science will be developed so far that there will be a test for it!! Hope you continue to feel great xx😘 Be blessed ❤
I have been having pain in that general area, no lump or anything but I never run to Google because it scares the shit out of me. The pain has been there for a few weeks and I'm not sure what it could be, so I scheduled an appointment with my gyno because that's what my doctor suggest i do. Now hearing that they can't detect through that I feel like I'm screwed lol. Other weird stuff I been experiencing is constipation sometimes, not all the time, I get hungry very fast, irregular periods but not missed, and some bloating. I am the biggest hypocondriact as well.
Sadly I spent twenty five years, going to more than thirty gynecologists, all of them were a bunch of zeros, they never diagnosed endometriosis, and other problems with cysts one ovaries, it cost me a trump, and now under the scope to get another surgery just on my abdomen it will be the 8th, now my ovary give me pain for 13 years, and some docs said it was/is nothing hope there's no cancer. Stay strong girl, xoxo from Brazil.
Hi! my mother had ovarian cancer in IIIc stage. She started to have a really bad pain in her belly at the age of 62. The doctors discovered a tumour in one of her ovarian but, rather to remove it straight away, they told us that it looked fine and by the time my mother had the surgery done , the cancer was spread to some of the lymphatics nodules... Anyway she was treated with quimo and now she is in remission for more than 5 years. Another thing I want to clarify is that my mother didn't have CA125 high, it was normal. Be strong!!!
Hey Cheyann, I'm 26, Ive had weird symptoms since june - its sept now. I've had normal blood work, a CT scan which showed fluid on my left ovary. I've had a pelvic ultrasound which didn't show anything and no fluid anymore..yet I'm still in pain. I have a consultation with a gynaecologist next week to talk about having a laposcopy. Im not bloated all the time but I am constipated - but i have been taking lots of co -codomol - not sure what they call the in the US but its a painkiller that can make you constipated. I have more pelvic pain up to my period and during my period so they are thinking more endometriosis. still scared though.
Since I had my baby I had pain on my righ abdominal side constipate but I did suffer from uti and BV after having her but the pain was there and more during my period when I’m ovulating when a did not have the infections anymore but with the pain they did a vaginal ultrasound and I had an ovary cyst functional that’s normal on my left side I never have pain there and they also found that i have pelvic congestion syndrome and that can give the same symptoms! 🙏🏻💖
I hope you see this because I need help. About 2 months ago I went to the hospital not feeling good at all! They ended up doing an ultrasound (internal) because of the pain I was in. They said I had a mass on my ovary, which I was surprised I had an ovary left since I always asumed I had a full hysterectomy not a partial. Well they sent me upstairs to an ob gyn who sent me for blood work (CA-125) was on of the tests. My tumor markers still looked ok but they still wanted to set me up with a gynecologist oncologist? But also told me they would just keep an eye on it? So will this mass just go away? I get pains, I feel bloated all the time, dizzy and very very very tired. I never went to the oncologist my insurance sucks so bad. Please if you could give me any advice I would greatly appreciate it.
Hi I'm wishing good health for you. I'm a little older and been having squeezing pelvic pains since the summer. Regular sono was normal. Was treated for uti and blood urine. Not bloated but pee all the time, during night and the pains are still here. Dr won't see me till January. I don't know why they won't do some blood work or Something... Be strong as I will also friend.
I was 33 and lost both ovaries, appendix, hair got Covid and nine centimetre cyst removed and had fertility treatment so went into menopause at 37 now 38. I have eight eggs and womb still.
OMG!!! Congratulations! That's so freakin' amazing, you're so freakin' amazing!! You're such an inspiration! I love how you always have such a positive attitude!! Thank you for sharing story! 😘😘
Thank you so much Cheyann for your positive mindset . I am french sorry if i make some mistake in English ...I had ovarian borderline tumor in 2014 surgery only (no chemo) but I Know the stress of each 4 month exam and CA125 blood test . ...I am waiting for each day your new post on instagram and also love very much your videos on TH-cam . I pray for you and sure everything will be OK If you travel one day To Paris i would be really happy to meet you. Very best wishes. Diane
To everyone reading this please turn to Jesus He loves you and wants to save you, Only Jesus can truly heal you, He is the God of miracles, The bible tells us in Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved, I seen God do amazing things in my life and in the lifes of people I know, He can do the same for you, God saved someone I love from illness leading to death, There is nothing impossible to God, Its as simple as asking Him to show you He is there and if you really want to know Jesus will answer you, I know this because it happened to me when I called out to God
Yes ask your doctor to document them not giving you a CT scan while you’re in the office say please document the fact that you’re not giving me a CT scan on this date andsure enough they probably will give you a CT scan I think you need to think of the worst diagnosis and then work down from there like do the scans first looking for a cancer and then start ruling things out after that
17 cm endometrioid carcinoma here. The tumor was so big it was pushing on my other organs. I would scream when trying to roll over or get out of bed. Also my abdomen was full of about 25 lbs of fluid. They thought I was having a baby at ER. That’s how big my stomach was. I lost 40 lbs immediately after surgery. I’m stage 3.
I need someone to help me here, I miss my period for 3 months late year I went to see the doctor and he said there is nothing wrong with me I keep having serious headaches all the time and for this year 2019 I start having pains in my abdomen with discharge and stomach pains I eat very fine but after eating I feel very very full that I even want to vomit it out but I eat normal not too much that will me vomit and the doctor said am fine but within me am not fine I really need help
@@ritamario8807 its good to hear, congrats 😊 i'm having your symptoms and i'm worried, may i asked what happened to you back then? Did you go for a check up?
@@jennylynbatoon9603 thanks dear, I didn't get any help from the hospital so I later I went to my country Africa and I was treated with herbal medicines
Hi Cheyann. My aunt was recently diagnosed with ovarian cancer. She is 56 and had no symptoms besides a UTI which resulted in her doctor feeling the lump around her pelvic area. Some lymph nodes within her pelvic area were metastasized but relatively small still. Otherwise all of her organs in her abdomen and lungs has no cancer spread according to the CT. There was a 6mm capsular form next to her liver but it was normal. Also, her bones don't have any cancer in them. She has to see her OB tomorrow to diagnose the stage of cancer and the way forward. It's promising to see that the treatments are effective. I will continously be at my aunt's side during her ovarian cancer journey.
This is exactly whats happening to me and its progressively getting worse and my dad isnt able to take me to the doctor because im always busy with obligations helping people with mental health and physical health issues that i will always put before myself and my dad works 5 days a week and the lump ive found has gotten bigger and my thighs back and pelvis hurts im bloated tired throwing up incressed urination gas i lost 5 pounds in the last 2 days im worried my dad does think its a cyst as does my friend who has cysts but me ex stepmom who has had ovarian cancer told me i need to get tested
Thank you for sharing, does your symptom bloated stomach visible? I have abdominal and pelvic pain, abnormal discharge also and frequent urination but little comes out. I'm worried 😭
I have been having pain in my lower abdominal area I have been to the hospital, they told me the same thing :( I have a ultra sound on Monday but it hurts so bad and I've lost 15 in a month
I'm so happy that you got this detected and you are being treated. My sister had ovarian cancer and lived for 6 years after diagnosis but it was already stage 4. I'm wondering why they started chemo first before surgery. Is that what they do for this disease now? Did you check for the brca 1 gene? All the women in my family had to be tested for this gene and thank God mine was negative. However, my niece inherited the gene. Thanks for taking us on your journey.
Please search into the benefits of a whole food plant based diet, I read it may help with cancer regretion! For real, please please research on it's benefits!! And try to stay away from red meat and processed foods! You are an incredible inspiration...
I am new to your channel and I already love you so much! I am kind of worried because I was forced to get an IUD by my mom and the doctor told me I didn't have a tilted uterus and everything was fine to get it. I got it and within a few weeks I went to the hospital (note: this way was two months ago) and they did a vaginal ultrasound and noticed two golf ball sized tumors and I found out my doctor lied to me about having a tilted uterus. And I was told that it could lead to ovarian cancer. I was wondering if it could because I've been told too many things. If you message me back thank you so much, if not God bless you and I'm praying for you.
Soooo this is NO LONGER UNCOMMON!not yelling at you honey. But these doctors will put into your head that it's uncommon. For some reason this cancer is on the rise in young women.
This is exactly the same as my ovarian cancer journey. I got sent away from the doctors so many times. Thanks for sharing I have subscribed please do the same lovely xxx

Yes ask your doctor to document them not giving you a CT scan while you’re in the office say please document the fact that you’re not giving me a CT scan on this date andsure enough they probably will give you a CT scan I think you need to think of the worst diagnosis and then work down from there like do the scans first looking for a cancer and then start ruling things out after that
Yay!!!! So happy for you❤️❤️❤️
17 cm endometrioid carcinoma here.

I have all the symptoms besides throwing up,i am only 14 but my doctor is referring me to a gynaecologist
How are you now?

Hurrah. I know this is late. But still great. I hope you're doing great❤💚💙💛🙏🙏🙏
Unfortunately this wonderful girl died on January the 4th 2021.
You look great! God bless you!
God bless you sweetheart❤️

Please search into the benefits of a whole food plant based diet, I read it may help with cancer regretion! For real, please please research on it's benefits!! And try to stay away from red meat and processed foods! You are an incredible inspiration...
Stay away from artificial foods and any food that is packed and not fresh.
Cancer ♋🦀 is poison ☠️💀
I'm so happy for you!
AWESOME 9💙💙💙💙💙💪🏻‼️
Soooo this is NO LONGER UNCOMMON!not yelling at you honey. But these doctors will put into your head that it's uncommon. For some reason this cancer is on the rise in young women.
Revelation 21:3,4 2 Timothy 3:1-5 in the New world we want have to worry about sickness.
No "new" just of course when we cease of existing there will not be none. Kinda speaks there hm 😮
Yay 9 ♡
This is exactly the same as my ovarian cancer journey. I got sent away from the doctors so many times. Thanks for sharing I have subscribed please do the same lovely xxx
