I own a ronin , but some good things that hunter offers better than ronin is
1.10mm wider rear tyre
2.bigger 350cc engine with more torque
3.30mm wider rear disc.
4. Bybre branded brakes
5. RE engines are pretty refined and i think they can also give a mileage upto 35
Other than that Pros in Ronin over hunter 350 are:
1. full digital instrument cluster
2. Slipper clutch which really does make a difference
3. Led indicators
4. Front usd folks
5. Full led headlight setup with Drl and light throw is also satisfactory.
6.Metal mudguards ( though some people won't even consider it )
7. 30mm more ground clearance
8. Mileage is 36 to 40 but depending on city to highway traffic before 1st service .
Also cost of all features in Ronin is included in ex-showroom price but in hunter you'll end up paying extra for accessories which will increase your overall cost
That front tire mud gaurd design is too good

Ronin on long rides have less vib and less heating in comparison to hunter 350 and ground clearance is way better in ronin than hunter.

I took test ride of both the bikes. Initially i was inclined towards hunter as i am a huge RE fanboy but seeing the practicality of everything i feel Ronin is
best value for money for 95% of consumers who are going to use it as a daily commuter and weekend rides.
Top speed 135+ ,
Glide through traffic feature,
very nimble to manuaver in day to day traffic,
super comfort ,
best riding posture ,
engine refinement ,
smooth gear box
power to weight ratio is better than hunter so in real world it delivers
slipper assist clutch
Showa USD forks
LEDs all around
Bass heavy exhaust note
and best of all 40+ milage that will pay dividend in long run.
In a nutshell Ronin is complete bike whereas Hunter feels like a downgraded 350 classic.

Ronin .. because latest technology all LED lights , high ground clearance and very good mileage
please pardon my ignorance, (I'm also a RE fanboy) Ronin is jack of all trades and I think Hunter is more focused towards younger generations and meant for city rides as well as occasional highway touring (which most of us generally do).
But the fact of the matter is, Ronin is way better as a city rider and Hunter will excel in highway riding but the irony is seating posture of Hunter isn't suitable for long highway riding (imo).
In a previous comment a friend (Sandeep Nag) has excellently pointed out some features of Ronin over Hunter, so I'm not digging into that again.
I would be very glad if RE introduced a little bit cruiser type of Hunter. Many would have definitely gone for that but probably then Meteor's sale would also take a hit.
I will go for Ronin.
Ronin looks awkward, otherwise its very good
Tvs Ronin top speed is better than Re Hunter. Re hunter stability at high speed is bad and shaky. Ronin feels very planted on all roads at all speeds.
2L for a TVS
I'm first time buyer so spending 2L on TVs is not worth.
I'm going with RE Hunter. Because that was my dream to have a Royal Enfield.
And RE at 2 lack price is just amazing.
No hate to Ronin, I took test ride of it and it is better than Hunter. But dil goes for Hunter❤️❤️
RE fans will always go for RE
inspite of relatively poor fit and for finish vs TVS / Honda. RE is purchased for emotional reasons not based on quality.
Being a Mechanical engineer and a designer in automotive field, I have following observations.
I was looking for a family bike for city rides mostly with a flat (horizontal seat), circular headlamp and retro-like + premium design (not like 100-150cc bikes).
After exploring lot of bikes, I finalized three options to compare.
1. Honda H'ness 350 CC
2. Royal Enfield Hunter Rebel 350 CC
3. TVS Ronin 225 CC
I test drove all 3 vehicles 2-3 times and following are my observations,
1. Honda H'ness 350 CC -
*Pros* - Nice retro/classic look, Low end torque is good, Seating space for pillion rider is more than other two vehicles.
*Cons* - Bulkier (Box size), Paint quality, Higher cost as compared to other two vehicles
2. Royal Enfield Hunter Rebel 350 CC -
*Pros* - Beautiful Design/Styling/Look, Great color schemes, Turning radius is smaller than Ronin (Less space to turn the vehicle), Reasonable cost.
*Cons* - The biggest issue (design flaw) is positioning of foot rest (pegs), just below the sitting position. This makes it difficult to keep your feet on ground while you are at signal or in slow moving traffic. Foot rest (pegs) keep touching your legs and is very uncomfortable.
Another point is that seat on rear end tapers downward and seating space for pillion rider being less, pillion rider tend to move back and when you accelerate, pillion may feel like toppling/falling down at back side. So this is not safe and hence, back rest is MUST.
Handle bar positioned in such a way that you need to keep your hands stretched straight all the times which is not a comfortable sitting posture.
Low end torque/performance (2 & 3 gear) is sluggish due to bigger engine. (Not as good as smaller capacity bikes)
3. TVS Ronin 225 CC -
*Pros* - Semi-retro look with circular headlamp, Driveability and Performance is superb.
Handle bar position is very good for comfortable sitting posture with hands slightly bent in elbows. Very easy to handle in traffic.
*Cons* - Very bad design/aesthetics of fuel tank (some odd shape), Color schemes are odd (not impressive), Turning radius is higher than Hunter (Needs larger space to turn the vehicle). Cost is on higher side for lower CC as compared to Hunter (mainly due to features).
Overall, none of them is meeting my requirements (as mentioned above) and hence, I decided to wait for Kawasaki W175 or Yamaha XSR or Improved version of Royal Enfield Hunter.

Same observation. And also Hunter and Ronin are small bikes. Pillion seat is less. So only option left is honda highness but that also is not perfect as you mentioned and also service centres are very less for Highness.

Ronin looks such a finished product, whereas Hunter, with all its exposed wires, frame and welding points looks hastily put together, like all re bikes.
Ronin gives more technology with led but re provides halogen that's the retro vibe we need.. It's not retro bike if u provide all tech with circular headlight.... Btw re is handcrafted and u can modify as much u can and it's brand
For all those comparing Ronin and Hunter, People never choose RE for features but only for the FEEL and Road Presence and a sense of being indestructible but Hunter fails to deliver what makes an RE special like the Classic 350...if you are looking for a budget RE then wait for updated Bullet 350 and if you want a relaxed bike with cruiser feel in a (relatively) affordable price go for Ronin base model..
Both are good. One has cult following other is masterless samurai.
One is stone age other is atomic age.
One is money hungry other money saver.
One is over hyped other is underdog.
One is high maintenance high upkeep other is low on maintenance and you can mostly diy after free service.
Clearly Ronin is better but most people will still go for Hunter just like me. I am really confused thats why I am not buying any right now stick to my Hero Honda.
hunter ! I test rode it! at this price the feel is incredible, low n mid was ⚡. ❤️
Technically Ronin is advanced, riding is very smooth, but design is very bad, very small bike, apache is has better road presence than ronin. But Hunter looks great and riding position is awsome.
Actually hunter is not comfortable bike. To ride hunter for long hour it’s comfort is very very poor. Whereas ronin is good for long riding as it’s position of riding is upright straight and gear position is on front side.

If iam 25 definitely choose hunter because RE is an emotion for me from my childhood ... but now iam 35 and i need bike with good suspension setup for my village pot holes roads ... now which one is suitable for me...

I am planning to buy a motorcycle for outcity tours this Diwali. Initially I made up my mind for Ronin due to its features and comfort but I may end up with Hunter 350. Despite of everything, I believe Ronin cannot deliver that experience of adrenaline, fun, power and josh while driving a bike. It is designed for uncles. Real boys would definitely choose RE because of the riding experience it delivers, not the comfort.

It's been 1 year I have purchased hunter, I still don't know how it feels to ride ronin 😅 never got a chance, screw Ronin and hunter ,I m in love with Duke 390, that feel that power, I m just in love with 390 😅which is out of my budget, cause I don't earn, I m a student 😂 but surely will in future, 🎉

Pl mention the quality of suspension (for Ronin it is Showa, Japan) which makes a WORLD of difference which many/all reviewers as well as users overlook which is very unfortunate state of our dumb market...therefore junk bikes sell more than quality bikes...just based on price and weight... :))
