Els perills de les renovables a Catalunya (reportatge íntegre de TV3)

Ara, a Catalunya, només el 19,8% de l'energia que es produeix és renovable. L'objectiu, segons la Llei Catalana de Canvi Climàtic, és que el 2030 aquesta xifra sigui del 50%. Un objectiu que tant els científics com el mateix territori temen que, si es fa amb presses, ompli terrenys naturals i agrícoles de parcs fotovoltaics i eòlics.

It's cynical how green energy projects are installed in rural areas. Solar panel parks will destroy an immense surface of agricultural land and precious nature. Does Catalunya really want to give that up? There are other locations possible for solar installations, but they probably have a higher cost. There are ways of implementing solar installations in a landscape, but nothing of that kind can be found in the project information. It seems to be all about making a lot of money as fast and as easy as possible. It's a shame that European subsidies are used for projects that destroy agricultural ereas.
