To this day, I get alot of JSRF-related dreams. These maps still pop up as the setting of some of my dreams, like Sewage Facility + K. Hill + Skyscraper District. But SPECIFICALLY Sewage Facility & this room 46:56 of Bottom Point. We take the spiral rail into the spot and its always adventure racing! God I still love this game
One of the coolest games i ever see in my life. The first game is my favorite one ever, but this is close to my top 15. Masterpiece of game and definitely a reason for buying a xbox. Come on Sega, REMAKE THIS GEM!
I legit just found this game from the music and thinking it was a band on its own. Looked into a bit more found out it actually to be a game and man I have veen infatuated with it's music and how this would get me more hyped about skating than Tony Hawk's pro skater
Thank you. That's kind of you to say. But you should watch yomsa instead. This run is 30 min slower than WR, and uses half the glitches and impressive movement a currently up to date run does. For some reason, the youtube algorithm really likes this 4 year old mediocre run
@@Crabbi Well, this run actually has the music in the game which is a huge part of the appeal of it and the nostalgia that people have for this game. Yomsa's runs look like they don't have music in them.
I never knew of that skip on the Fortified Residential Zone at the end, that is BY FAR one of my most hated bits, and I just barely found out you could skip the falling platforms by jumping off the rail...
Haha you should check out a more recent any% run then. We now skip all of sewers by clipping through the halfpipe before Garam can tell us we're trapped, letting us enter bottom point immediately. Plus a lot of other crazy strats ofc.
The slowdowns around the Dinosaur District and 99th Street are pretty typical. Even decades later I distinctly remember those two in particular. I imagine it's because the highway you start out on in 99th Street and the entrance to the Dinosaur District's rollercoaster are heavily populated by surrounding assets and NPC's and hit a weak spot for the game, causing too much to accidentally load at once and for it to slow down the framerate. That's my current theory anyways, but that slowdown was definitely in the original Xbox version too.
This is xbox 360. I didn't get a softmodded xbox until about half a year ago. The best resolution I get there is 480p, so I still use my 360 for test runs, since the softmod isn't needed for that.
That's to reset the police dialogue. In Kibogaoka, we do it to get past the helicopter trigger in time. The trigger doesn't appear before the dialogue ends, so switching characters gives us the time to spray all the graffiti at the start. In 99th Street it's a little more complicated. Getting the dialogue back lets us interrupt it with DJK's message for how to leave the level with the dragon tail. That interruption despawns the second cop fight for some reason.
@@juhadexcelsior It's part of the story. The Immortals escape to Hw0 mid fight so you'll stumble upon Yoyo's cage and get trapped. You otherwise probably wouldn't have gone to Hw0.
Honey, I know you were doing speed run but when on the concrete ramps you still want to slide from side to side and do tricks for bonuses as doing constant slams only makes you a bit slower😶
I never realized that the soundtrack was mixed together so well in game, true attention to detail, what a fucking awesome game
There's no way a game from 2002 looks this good or fun
PLUS THE MUSIC IS LITTERALLY FIRE🔥🔥🔥
You really should buy it if you have an xbox or xbox 360 its fun and has a great soundtrack
quality is timeless
A lot of the credit goes to the cel-shaded graphics
Do you know what the word "literally" means?

Welcome to the club bro!! Check out Rush cyberpunk!! Some dudes made their own version of JSRF and it’s IMMACULATE
2024, and I'm still waiting for the sequel. Game has come out in 2002.
I’ll never stop loving this game, awesome run dude!
48:26 This is why we learn "del transfero"
Imagine using tanks, to try to take out youngsters on skates.
Also, this game is amazing! Love Jet Set Radio.
I'm pretty sure that has happened somewhere
Imagine expecting logic or realism in a video game
Imagine taking a joke comment seriously? :O
Wooosh
damn that was amazing ! when i was a kid i could never finish certain levels
I couldn't even defeat beat LOL
Bro I couldn’t believe the glitches and just overall accuracy you had in this game, G fucking G! 💪🏻

I saw numerous slowdowns during the video, is that how the frame rate is usually within the game?
No, these slowdowns happens because I'm playing on xbox 360. On an original xbox there are very few slowdowns, and none are as bad as these.

This video is not available😅😕
Aw, that sucks. Does it say anything else than that?
You might be able to watch it at speedrun.com/run/mrqrrngy
But probably not :(
Crabbi no itjust says its unavailable i really wanted to check it out but i cant😕
How did you end the cop showdown on Shibuya Terminal early? I only saw 11/21 cops defeated and Hayashi was never sprayed. That was pretty interesting.
Why do you switch characters right back and forth? Is there a reason for it?
That's to reset the police dialogue. In Kibogaoka, we do it to get past the helicopter trigger in time. The trigger doesn't appear before the dialogue ends, so switching characters gives us the time to spray all the graffiti at the start.

I'm not sure what you mean. Do you have a timestamp for when I'm on a concrete ramp and play suboptimally?
Also drift more often, slamming slows speed.

You should, it's great! You can also download cxbx and play it on your computer if it can handle it
