What I loved about Catherine, Princess of Wales standing ovation was that she really didn't notice it until AFTER she had settled her daughter in her chair (& also get sister). Her whole attention was focused on her family.
It wasn't until after she had made sure that they were ok that she looked up and really processed that 15 000 people had given her the honour of a standing ovation. That is true humility! 💜🌻🇦🇺

I am an American and a former federal investigator of 25 years before retiring in 2008. I knew many Secret Service agents. Everyone I knew in the “old days” would agree that this was beyond shocking and an epic failure of the federal government to have even the most rudimentary safety procedures in place. 14:01 here.” The failure to have an agent or agents on the roof was reckless and demonstrates total disregard for basic law enforcement protection measures. She actually had the temerity to state that they did mot place Secret Service agents on the roof because its slope would have posed a danger to personnel. This would be ludicrously laughable if it was not so dangerous and troubling in its implications.

I have worn my cross since I was 15. I've had numerous jobs over 30 years but it was only in my last job as a nurse at the NHS I was asked to remove it as it could be offensive. It caused a right hullabaloo when I refused pointing out that I would only remove the symbol of my faith when every other religion was asked to do the same. It ended up with me threatening to go to the press because of the backlash I got from my managers. Especially those who were alive & have “witnessed” similar events in history to draw from. As she said, it’s worth questioning and she emphasized one of the biggest unanswered question, which was why even out of the abundance of caution why they didn’t at least diffuse the situation by removing T from the stage until they knew it was secure?? I do wonder if the two of you talking in the replies have different understandings of the word "staged." I've come across this already in discussions of this event just since Saturday. Some people use "staged" to mean "faked gunshots and faked injuries" and are confused how anyone could think that when people were injured and died. Others use "staged" to mean "the security allowed this to happen either through ineptitude or dislike for the candidate and hope that someone does exactly what happened" and are confused how anyone could NOT think that happened. Could that be the problem here? Could you perhaps clarify your meaning(s)?

Shauna, here is a spooky story. After raising 8 children, and being married for 30 years, uncle Buck and aunt Nora decided to call it quits. They remain great friends however, even though uncle Buck remarried to a woman 20 years his junior, and had a son he name Nathan. The little boy had jet black hair and big blue eyes and Aunt Nora called him little Elvis until the day she died. Years later, his parents living deep in the country Nathan drove the 500 miles to visit them.. He decided to take a nap while his parents went to the store. He woke up from a dead sleep with aunt Nora, screaming in his face, “ little Elvis, get out! The house is on fire!“ upon seeing a dead woman, he jumped and ran straight down the stairs and out of the house. He then turned to look and the house, exploded into flames! Upon inspecting the house the fire chief said the fire was burning between the floors of the old farmhouse, and hit a gas line. The house was completely destroyed.

Anyways being short and not being able to see them a tall guy asked if I wanted to get on his shoulders and my husband said yes. While I was bouncing up and down on his shoulders, these hands were holding my butt to make sure I didn’t fall off. I thought it was my husband but to my surprise it was Mick Fleetwood 🤩my heart burst out with joy ❤ he lifted me off this gentleman’s shoulders and to my disbelief could not take my eyes off of how huge his hands were.
