This is sacred culture and spirit in true representation. I’m obsessed with dance and watching this made me so happy to see this culture still alive. 😊 I travelled from Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne then Sydney and sat with the Aboriginal people when they were stuck out on a piece of land making bricks still fighting to regain their culture back in 1989. I went on to travel and found dance anthropology as I danced Scottish folk dance, then modern and tap ending up in the carnival dance. Seeing the children dancing is so important. Love this ❤

My feelings on seeing this are double. Similar to walking in in a zoo. The beauty of animals, but put into a cage.
The seperation of audience and ritual takes away the meaning, transforming it into modern western 'consumer entertainment'. And than making a competition out of it. Why??? What's this obsession of bringing hierarchy into things. It shows no respect. On the other hand, I see the difficulty of wanting to maintain something alive in a context that is bound to destroy it.
