The sea resort looked beautiful! And the nice plate of fresh fruit. Wow, what a great test of your camera on that bumpy road. 😊

You guys should have gone to the local priest to see if he perhaps had some pre-war birth, death etc records in his archive

Thank you!! Duke’s Father did a lot of research several years ago and we actually got the church records.

Enjoyed video, yet would love to remind you: your ancestors were driven out for a reason.

You are absolutely right and we really know very little about Polish history. When Duke’s ancestors left in 1865 it was because they didn’t want their sons to be drafted into the Prussian Army. I assume they had cousins who stayed behind. I considered leaving his comment out when I was editting. Please forgive me if we offended you. I appreciate how polite your comment was. I’m glad you enjoyed the video. We really liked Poland. Thank you for your comment.

The monument you have ridiculed is a memorial to the inhabitants of the municipality of Biesiekierz who died in the Second World War. SHAME TO BEHAVE LIKE THIS !!!!!!!!!!
What can you expect from the Germans who led to the deaths of millions of people all over the world?

I’m sorry to have offended you. My husband was talking about the late 1800s, but of course we should have realized it was about the Nazis. The Nazis were indeed horrible beyond understanding. His ancestors left Poland in the 1860s because they didn’t want to be drafted. I assume they had cousins who stayed. Again I am sorry we were insensitive.
