I remember 23 years ago, I was playing this game, any player I played, such as Kage, Jacky, and Lion, most Kage, I would always just be using the punch button to take out any of the opponents in the arcade section. Boy were they such fond memories.
This was what made me want to have a Sega Saturn back in 1995. When I got my Saturn in 1996, I was shocked to see that this Saturn version of vf2 was not arcade-perfect. It did not look as good as the arcade version. It would take years before I would understand that Sega was great at making arcade hardware but they were not that good at home hardware. Still this was the Saturn’s best game according to some magazines. I have vf2 on my ps3 but I sure would love to play this Saturn version of vf2 again someday. It was a big part of my high school life.
Saturn had some architectural problems, but this port did a phenomenal job of reworking VF2 to fit the hardware. There is no way that it could be arcade perfect, as Model 2 was far more advanced hardware than existed in home consoles at the time - if Sega had tried to use it in Saturn, the console might have cost $1000+.
@@globalistgamer6418 they did it in Genesis and this was the main reason of it's successful history. Genesis was nothing but a downgraded version of the famous System 16 arcade board. Ironically, Sony followed this path with it's PlayStation - it was a less powered version of Namco's System 11 hardware - and owned both Sega and Nintendo. I never understood why Sega didn't follow it's own successful formula with Saturn. Of course a hardware straight from Model 2 would be too expensive, but they could make Saturn out of Model 2 architecture, not that complex Frankenstein that was expensive at the end.
i remember this game a long time ago and I were a great fighter all of them lol so many of memories of that game and I also played super mario finding the princess and I did played some old computers game too but I forgot what were their names i can't remember
One of the best ports ever made. Considering the huge hardware architecture differences between Saturn and Model 2, it's almost a miracle. Sega programmers could put insane graphics out of Saturn when they wanted it. What I don't understand till nowadays is why they didn't follow the Genesis (System 16) pathway and made their 32-bit console out of their most famous arcade board.
Yep, so do we, we had a video of the Mega Drive version here, it's not a patch on the Saturn or Arcade version, however: th-cam.com/video/nBlQgb4r_f8/w-d-xo.html
it was because the saturn was difficult to program for. but i sure would love to play Saturn Last Bronx as well. i heard it was graphically better than vf2. also there was Fighters Megamix and Dead Or Alive.

Is this emulation or Saturn hardware?
Dangerous2099 Best to do a fresh comment as we don't get notified about replies to comments. This is an original hardware capture.

They eventually did just that with the ST-V Titan board. Learning mistakes, I guess.
I have played here on Genesis collection, the Genesis version’s reminds me Street Fighter.
I had this in mega drive

I used play as Pai and her father Lau Chan
Sarah Bryant a College Student, also High School alumni Class of 1991.
This early saturn game really shows how much the saturn sucks at 3d......... not!
Did you love ms bryant's playthrough?
I stand by VF 2 (Saturn) still being one of the best looking games of that gen. It’s right up there with the best that the n64 and PSX had to offer
it was because the saturn was difficult to program for.
but i sure would love to play Saturn Last Bronx as well. i heard it was graphically better than vf2.

How to unlock dural. I've tried Down Up Right Punch Left and it didn't work
