This may interest you. In fs22 on elmcreek using all base game varaibles I did an experiment much like you did here. I sold the amount of slurry it took to fertilize that single big grass field to the bga and bought enough solid fert to do every field on the map. I got tired of hearing how great "free" slurry was.
Thanks for doing these guides. They are really helpful. Especially the tip for assigning keys to enlarge / reduce the area on one side of the fertiliser and sprayer. I hadn't realised that was a thing.
Looks like 30 pigs would produce enough slurry in a year to double fertilize 1 ha of field. Used Disturbed Simlations deep dive into pig rearing to come to calculation. Thx for the look at fertilizing rates.
Good video. It's insightful information to see how much the L/min increases with the organic fertilizers. If your weed control is herbicide, liquid fertilizer is probably the way to go.
I don’t get why in the game a guy can’t fertilize once before seeding, then use a seeder with fertilization and get the 2nd state after that and be done till harvest
Dang I didn’t realize there was a custom control setting to allow for modifying spray on each side. I have been complaining to myself for the last 40 hours of my gameplay that it sure would be nice if my sprayer had a half-side shutoff
Are you having the problem where the manure silo and extension are disconnecting from the cow barns and pigstys? ( I'm on PC) Also, the Dalbo roller causes my planted grass fields to not regrow (but they do get the second fertilization state). I can reset them using a mulcher to the "harvested" state, and then they will start growing again. I submitted a bug report to Giants back in 1.2.1, but both issues (manure silos and roller) still not fixed with 1.3.
I didnt have an issue with grass regrowth on a recent live stream where I rolled grass. I have heard others talk about manure issue. I wouldnt worry to much about things reported before 1.3 patch now being fixed in 1.3 Its hard to say when the cut off of things to go into 1.3 was.
@@FarmerKlein I'm still having both problems with 1.3. Manure silos and silo extensions barely get any manure in them before disconnecting from the cow barn or pigsty. And the grass roller gives the second stage of fertilization, but I never get a "growing" stage a month later, and the grass still looks roller over (flattened) months later like it did when I first rolled it. Only mulching it resets it to "harvested," and then the next month it will actually start growing. These are will fields I made from scratch. I don't know if fields that were already grass fields made in base game have the same problem.
Prices to buy fertilizer from the fill silo on the map seem to be tied to the difficulty level you play on. I play on hard and the price to buy solid fertilizer is only $1.20/L actualy making it much cheaper than the stores pallets $1.92/L.

Thanks for producing this excellent guide and the analysis Farmer Klein. Great tip on the key binds to vary the width.
Glad you enjoyed it!

So how many cows do I need per ha of field?

@@michaelhansen4131 I also tried that and wasted a bunch of time when I found out it didn’t work

Hope you enjoy now being more efficient with your spray and spreading.

Yes…I downloaded a mod called Manure Evacuator that works so far.

@@Druac I tried that one, but it's also disconnecting with both the cow barn and pigsty on Riverbend Springs for me.
21:28 there must be a bug, since you dont get a fertilization stage when you direct seed/pant into oilseed radish like you used to get

I had not noticed that, thanks for sharing!
