My friend challenged me to lip sync Frozen to Betraying the Martyrs cover of Let It Go: • BETRAYING THE MARTYRS ...
Slightly glitchy because the file size was too large haha. This was also the first time I used the distortion effect in AE (this was made before my ALOK vid) and I was experimenting with as many effects as possible hence why it is so effects heavy ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

+sam b Oh wow that would be amazing! It would probably kill my laptop though (this alone took forever to render) and I probably wouldn't get away with copy right issues. I would love to edit with Frozen more though, did you have anything in mind? C:

+Pitch Madness dang, I wouldn't want it to mess up your computer like that. if you want, I could download the movie and reduce the file size for you. and I know how to decrypt the copyrighted encryption's on most file formats for the TH-cam uploading and stuff. it would only take me probably a few days or so to complete. I would just need to send the file to you by email or Google+ or something once finished. so you could do the special effects editing. if that would work better for you and your computer. I've never really worked much with the special effects part though. so that part gets kinda confusing for me. let me know if that would help maybe. :)

+sam b hahaha thanks mate, though it's not the movie size it's after effects that's the problem. It creates thousands of files for everything little thing that I have to render (which I still haven't figured out how to reduce yet without corrupting my projects or decreasing the quality). With the effects, is it the colouring you're looking for or also the twitch effects/flashes/etc as well?

+Pitch Madness wow that does sound like alot of files. also i was wondering what would be a good free editing software for those special effects? something that might be a little bit easier for beginner's like me. also the official freemake video converter is 100% free and is probably one of the most simplest software to use for the file size changer. you would just need to click video on there , it would open your file browser for you to choose your file. and you could change the HQ levels to high or low by choosing up to I think 1080p in quality. it has a great variety of popular file formats to convert files to. they have formats from avi, wmv, apple device format, dvd burner, mpeg, mp4, mp3, 3gp., mkv, flv, if you have like a sony device or play station 3 or 4 there's a converter for that on there, Xbox file converter, Samsung converter, android, blu-ray convert, swf, html5, Nokia convert, BlackBerry file convert, it even has a TH-cam file convert for uploading. you can copy and paste web url videos from select media sites to download. and you can customize your file output size to make file bigger or smaller and it doesn't effect the quality which is good. its basically an all in one converter. I hope that info can help with that.

+sam b That does sound pretty awesome, I've been using Handbrake to convert most of my files (though they're usually quite large) between .mkv to .mp4. Some of the particular effects used in this (like the yellow/blue magenta/green twitches and colour slashes) are from After Effects plugins, I'm not sure how well they would translate to other programs.
There aren't many decent 'free' video editing softwares that come to mind, but you could try out Filmora: filmora.wondershare.com/ ? It's similar to sony vegas pro but more user friendly and helps beginners experiment with editing a little more by already providing you with a library with overlays, filters, and transition effects, as well as being able to experiment with colour grading and such as well. You can try it for free and see if it suits you, its only like $50 to buy the lifetime license as well which is pretty damn cheap. It'll be easier to tweak more intense effects when you move onto programs like cyber power director or adobe premiere pro & after effects.
Personally I started on premiere pro and moved onto after effects and just started experimenting to see what everything does (I find it easier that way), it's pretty simple to get the hang of it after a few videos. If you want to know how I did any of the effects as well or the processes I used, I'm happy to tell in that regard as well, just let me know. C: (I hope some of this helps)
