OMG i finally found audio heaven. Just Brilliant. I really want to learn how to do complicated streams. I don't know much about any of the software. but now I Decided to completely change to Reaper and Netjack. Can you make more tutorials on how to setup? I'm gonna check your vids.
I'm netjacked about this video. Hot diggity dog. Now I have more options for connecting two Linux boxes of each corner of my house running audio. Learn something new everyday. Keep bringing the great content.
I'm using it with 4 Nuc G3 mini pcs running mxlinux. Each of them is running Virus C and TI2 synth emulations -- essentially forming a Virus cluster. If it were just Virus Cs I could be hosting 48 VIrus Cs in parallel routing all of the MIDI and audio out to my studio over a 2.5Gb switch.
Took me a while to figure out the interactions between jack and the latest pipewire audio architecture on linux and then figure out whether the server is one of the linux boxes or the DAW on MacOS. Documentation is not jack's strong suit.
I didnt even need to know about any of this but I subscribed because you have the voice of a God my good man.

Glad it helped.
We need AVB support for Netjack
How can i route the audio from the soundcard through reaper and then to obs in the same machine. I'm running windows tho.
No idea.
thank you so much for this video, it's a gold mine. amazing :D
Glad it helped.
Godlike
Just out of curiosity, do you know if Pipewire has this same feature?
How would you use it (ie. can you run jack_load and jackd)?
It's not possible with PipeWire at the moment.
Venn Stone have you released any music? Would love to hear it.
Not in the last 20 years.
Brilliant, my friend.
I know you said it doesn't work over WAN, but what happens if you tried with using wire guard VPN or something.
The issue is latency, not the connection type. Jacktrip / Sonobus is the correct solution for WAN.
Thank You!
No problem

It's a fantastic bit of software.

Well now I know what an "Netjack" is 😁
6:42 103 milliseconds delay actually not bad, typical cheap bluetooth headset a lot worse than that
