Military presence? Where have you been. Nigeria's military damn near liberated Liberia during its Civil War and established peacekeeping there for decades. Same with Sierra Leone. Nigeria's military is the backbone for ECOWAS supporting all of West Africa, and is perhaps the most important military force in all Africa, Arab or Black, even if some others (South Africa and Algeria) have larger budgets.

Fact is the Nigerian military can destroy Boko Haram in one day. But it will involve massive and unacceptable civilian casualties. Hence their restraint. Terrorists do not wear uniforms. Doubtless, there are many who reviewed this video came away with the historidlly false notion this marvelous work was done by foreigners, not Nigerians. Moreover, that the funding was achieved with the help of international loans. Yes, what I see is lovely and heartwarming. So it must be shown that this amazing achievement was completed by people thought outside Africa to be incapable of going through with the completion of such a project. Hurry, Africa.

Israel literally runs an Apartheid state in Palestine and steals land from its neighbors all the time and they are less corrupt than Nigeria!!?Sorry but no you can’t even compare a body count with some of these countries. I honestly don’t see why anyone would consider their government as worse than any of those ones. So while no I haven’t been to Nigeria per se, I have been to the continent and from what I’ve seen the two aren’t even in the same league. Before I ever travelled out of Nigeria, I thought hinger and poverty is synonymous with Africa, but in the USA and Europe, poverty exist and in some cases, worst than Africa, coupled with their terrible and insufferable weather. Gosh! As an African, its mighty easy to create wealth in the western world, but they have laws to trap you into not spending much of that money into Africa, but we still thrive, as most of us can never forget home.
America is the most corrupt nation on earth and they are still developed, because they have a system and control the narratives and media...believing that one day, corruption will be eradicated in Africa is a farce, all we can do is to build system, reduce corruption and take ownership of our commonwealth and be at the negotiating table with those who which to keep us locked down and demand our terms and conditions. ...then ans only then can we be termed free and developed.
