I don't care who wins this was a wonderful match to watch and the chinese team is the best in the world BUT if in future sports only the machine people with machine minds and machine methods win....it's gonna be much less adorable to watch

It looks likes its above the table, but he contact later one the blade, and he contact just abit behind or on the line. He also drive the ball longer which gives that perspective. On my opinion WQ just broke moregard moral, and he feinted to find an issues due to hte pressure that he puts on himself.
THat was an heck of a mental game, which WC won.
Moregard should canalyse himself a bit more, and he will become a killer. But right now he is acting like an immature brad, talented but immature
Sorry, but if Wang turned up for one of the teams in my local TT league, I would call him a cheat, lodge a protest and refuse to play him. His serve is no different from ball tampering in cricket, using a hidden motor in cycling or pretending to be disabled at the Para Games. The issue here is not with Truls, it is with Wang, the refs and the CNT coaching team.

im swedish and Möregård pisses me off man
Wang is not serving correct according to table tennis rules. He is standing at the long side of the table and hits the ball above the table which is not allowed. He shall always hit the ball outside the short end of the table. Why doesnt the umpire tell Wang to serve according to the rules? Both Truls and Wang break rules regarding serves. I have seen more players than Wang who have started to serve from the long side of the table and hitting the ball above the table whitout any correction from the umpire, why? There are several other rules that are neglected by the players like hiding the ball, tossing the ball to short and things like that and the umpire does not react. May be all rules regarding serves should be scrapped so everybody can serve the way they like??
hehe I watched it slow motion, according to the ball toss, before he makes contact with the ball the ball is definitely behind the line, just his racket follows the direction of the ball hence giving the feeling he was still in contact with the ball in front of the line.
Wang has one of the most illegal serves in the world but it is not about being ahead of the line so much as the contact point being directly behind the head. Noone serves this way by accident - what he does is pure cheating and it is poor that the refs do not step in, and frankly quite ridiculous for the commentators to act surprised at the legality being questioned. Literally everyone in the TT world knows what is going on here.

Consistent service error by Wang Chuqin; to be specific, he is in breach of the Laws of Table Tennis,2.6.4., as codified in the ITTF Handbook: All services need to be behind the server's end line.
I would call the referee out on it.

@@JamesUchuno Well, that umpire cannot even see the serve of the left-handed player because of where he is seated. That could have something to do with it.
@@solideomusical there are always 2 officials: an umpire and a referee. There's no way they can claim to be blind to these faults
Only silly folks will think they are smarter than the judges on site. Be quiet and watch the game.

Relying on luck, weird shots and reflex. That's Truls' game, not the kind that I like. His counterattack is very strong though. You need to to be prepared that the ball is going to come back and even faster!
Truls taktik is to bring the chinese out of their comfort zone. What would your taktik be...? To try to beat the chinese at their own favourite game, which they do best...? Not particularly smart if you ask me.....
@@mankenybom9344 tactics you mean. true, if you can't beat them head on then try something different, I get that, but that doesn't mean I like that weird style. At current level Trul can't beat the Chinese yet, but in time there's potential. Harimoto is a much more urgent issue to the Chinese though...
@@mankenybom9344 Yeah, a simple thing is improving your basic technique, not do all these fancy weird tricks which frankly don't bring out the top chinese players out of their comfort zone at all. So no, your ideas are bs.

Do you realise that the coach of truls is Jörgen Persson also known as the guy who won the world championship against waldner. I think he is probably a pretty good coach. And yes I know I am a bit late to this

@@vinrho123 33:50 looks like he throws the ball not straight up as well as questionable height measured from the release point of his hand ... its hard to see if the hitting point is hidden, but it sure is hard to see from truls perspective because of the lefty advantage
@@z0uLess if that's the case, both of them were guilty. Quite of few of Truls' serves look not high enough.

@@z0uLess If you look at it in slow motion you can see when the ball leaves his hand to the arc or highest point it can most likely be around 16cm. What's deceptive is the way his hand still rises with the ball after he throws it. It's close but, the umpires are right there to see. At the point of contact or just before he lowers his body and head (same as Ma Long) and one can question how visible the ball is at the time of contact.
