Ele se desconcentrou um pouco no final quarto set. Teve uns 3 pontos que foram de erro grosseiro. Enfim, o Truls jogou muito bem, mas ainda acho que esse jogo foi aquém da capacidade do Hugo.
Truls is proof that some great players worry more about dealing with their emotions how they see fit than they worry about whether their opponent is able to read them
Não vejo os chineses perdendo para jogadores com ranking abaixo que eles. Calderano é nosso orgulho, mas precisa melhorar nos dois primeiros sets, se pretender ser o primeiro no mundo.
It's going to take some time, but if Truls keeps it up, he'll be No. 1 in ranking 🥇. Above all, his service seems relatively "simple", yet very variable and difficult to return.
As vezes parece que o Hugo joga sozinho, muito tenso, travado, forca demais e erra sem trocação. Acho que se ele conseguir relaxar... aí ele vai longe.
He has to work on his mental game, but i would like to see him in top of the ladder. Unfortunately the only player that made watching table tennis fun again. Since the era of waldner, Schlager, Kreanga and so on, he is the first one to bring personal style back into table tennis

Easy match for Truls. Once again, Hugo was one-sided with heavy shots without thinking of how to counter the creative shots by Truls. Should be 3-0 win, but still, had a huge 9-5 lead and just CHOKED 6 points in a row to lose the final set. That's a surefire way to lose. No mental game, no alternative plan. Not a good match for Hugo.

Felix, So Hugo is my favourite player, congrats to truls he deserved it. When i was watching the match Hugo looks mentally exhausted, he looks completely lost. To me i feel like Hugo made himself the player he is today and not so much the coaches around him. With alot of top players especially the Chinese but other top players aswell is they have had an even balance between the players creating themselves as players but also the coaches play a huge part, dont get me wrong, big credit for Hugo going to Germany when he was younger and the coaches he has that have helped him along the way, but i feel like he was not as balanced indevelopment between Coach input and his own input in himself. And all the amazing feats he has achieved have been more his doing and the coaches around him have helped him alot but have just been tagging along instead of imposing themselves on Hugos gamestyle and not being strict enough when it fails . Countless times do we say Hugo hasn't changed anything or... whats Hugo's coaches input in his game. Or Hugo needs a new coach. Hugo id say is a player of raw talent he is from a country that not long ago TT was almost non existent and he is athletic and good at any sport he has made big achievements in different ways than most players have. Hugo serve i think is one of the best in world but you are spot on even though he troubled Truls with serve in the last 2 sets it was the same height of toss and the serve wasnt precise enough. Ive noticed that every tournament he is in his gamestyle slight changes or he doesnt look like the same player. Alot TT players obviously change things up from time to time to not be to predictable but most especially the Chinese are able to impose their gamestyle consistently throught each event, but because Hugo, even though i think he has improved in variation and control when he is having a good day he overall doesnt have that consistent or stable gameplan that most top players have. I think his best tournament ever was star contender doha September 2021 which he won. It was his most stable tournament ive ever seen from him he had tons of variation, control rythm and he was precise in everything he did and he was mentally precise and knew what he wanted to do. But because he has a fractured coaching team in my opinion,... they never jumped on it and thought ok lets focus and revolve around how you played in that tournament but also add speed and power and risk taking you also can do. And the effect of that is he keeps changing each tournament trying to figure out whats right he is probably mentally fried because of it and he looks like a lost puppy crying for help crying for advice. Sorry this is a long Message, this is my opinion about the situation with hugo at the moment. I hope you dont get confused😂. I hope Hugo can pick himself back up. He is still one of the best in the world.
I also dont want to knock what Jean Reanne Moune has done for Hugo, he has done amazing things to make him a better player and a person. This is just what i Think in his current situation and the build up of it.

What a boring match. It’s like a battle to see who makes more unforced errors. Battle of the mediocres. So much potential wasted on these kids. Truls and Calderano, after a 3 hit rally will try to go for a kill ball and make a dumb unforced error and send it outside the table. Can Chinese can do this? Well yes, but that’s because they train really hard, they can go for high risk balls and make sure it hits the opponents side of the table almost every time with incredible force and spin.
