@@Dejusticed I agree that quick pitching a batter is a dick move to as well, and if a pitcher does that then by all means take your time to get into the box
Strike 3 was a strike. I grew up in the 90s and umps consistently called pitches inside the white chalk of the opposite batters box a strike. All day long.
Reminds me of a duel that George Foster had with a Red Sox pitcher in the 1975 World series. Every time the pitcher came set Foster would step out of the batter's box. Every time Foster came set the pitcher would step off the rubber. This went on for a while. It was pretty funny at the time.
That definitely hit the corner of the plate even though it tailed slightly outside the white rectangle on the screen, which represents where the ball hits the glove roughly 2 feet behind the plate. Not exactly where it's going over the plate which many times a ball does and lands slightly outside that rectangle. Right on though Bradley getting through that BS!#@@
That’s inaccurate. The white box does not represent where the ball hits the glove. Strategically placed high-tech cameras measure the ball’s location at the plate.
@@Brian-js6me Right I worded that wrong and was backwards. The circle that pops up shows where the ball hits the glove. Meaning the ball could have crossed over a corner of the plate and land below or outside the white rectangle, still being a strike.
This happened again today during a Jays game. McGuire called time during the middle of a Red Sox pitchers pitch. Ended up being a strike too, but didn't count
The players should come to a gentleman’s agreement about time outside the box, and if not the league need to make rules. It’s not needed and makes the game so so much longer to watch
Can they also come to an agreement to not quick pitch. Both of these dudes are asshats. Bradley immediately pitches the second anyone puts one foot in the box and can never get settled. I would do what soto did every time to him.

I remembered JomBoy did a video two seasons ago on the Archie Bradley vs Dodgers AJ Pollack. There was a delay because Pollack was protesting about getting hit and wouldn't get off the field. Bradley was impatient and wanted to pitch to the next batter. He pretty yelled at Pollack to hurry it up and tell the Dodgers dugout to STFU. It was one of my earliest JomBoy video.
MLB needs to stop letting players just meander around like that. Get in the batter's box.
They now have. With the new pitch clocks teams are now going to be penalized for delay of game.
I like that Soto just walked off and didn't argue... he knew it was a perfect pitch and that the pitcher was going to get the call after what happened.

Dude, your channel is awesome. Thank you for what you do. U give us looks into sports that we normally don’t see or look for. Thanks!

Great video and great channel !
Hitters should not be allowed to do that back and forth. My favorite team does it too and I hate it. Should only be allowed out of the batter box once per at bat and if they step out or call time out, it’s an auto strike
What an all time plug at the end. Well done
Bradley doesn’t fool around. Same thing when he got in that brawl with AJ Pollock for jogging back to the dugout after he was called out.
I agree but I wouldn’t say that was a brawl, more so talking shit to each other and benches clearing.
Dude just wants to play without all that time wasting bs lol
@@TxPasta exactly, more clearing the benches.
Love these midnight uploads
I feel like that call at the end was the umpires way of going yeah, I messed up, also soto shouldnt be taking that much time, if he would just take a breath get back in games might start to speed up a bit, however thats just my opinion, now on those fouls taking a lap fine, take your lap, step in and lets go again. But thats just how i was raised to play.
Yes, and Soto knew it too. Took the call and went back to the dugout no complaints.
That's the thing about him, he is a dick and does his annoying thing but he respects the calls and whatnot. I like it when a person dishes it but can also take it back
No it was a strike, don’t believe the box on the screen bc that’s not exactly when it crosses
I just can't understand why quick pitching isn't just as egregious to some of you. Both things are dick moves, both guys are dicks. Alleviating one of them is doing the situation injustice.
@@Dejusticed I agree that quick pitching a batter is a dick move to as well, and if a pitcher does that then by all means take your time to get into the box
Don't have to worry about this anymore with pitch clock
Ump mildly redeemed himself with the K, but somebody's gotta talk to him about that. Don't be a pawn
Good vid mate
IMO, that strike 3 pitch should always be called a strike.
I don’t care where the stupid box is. That’s a perfectly spotted pitch
The 1-2 pitch was a strike too, computer at least thought it was by giving us a filled in circle rather than just an outline.
So basically ignore the rules. Fly balls to the warning track should be called home runs because they were well-spotted.
What kind of logic lmao
Great video!
A man with such an impressive beard obviously has a bit of patience in his demeanor.
Strike 3 was a strike. I grew up in the 90s and umps consistently called pitches inside the white chalk of the opposite batters box a strike. All day long.
Giant comeback breakdown??
That white rectangle is not certain. Camera angle, distance can all make it look different.
Good call
That’s inaccurate. The white box does not represent where the ball hits the glove. Strategically placed high-tech cameras measure the ball’s location at the plate.
@@Brian-js6me Right I worded that wrong and was backwards. The circle that pops up shows where the ball hits the glove. Meaning the ball could have crossed over a corner of the plate and land below or outside the white rectangle, still being a strike.
Just found your channel love you
This is the only time I would agree that it's okay to peg a player. Soto is annoying to watch play.
This happened again today during a Jays game. McGuire called time during the middle of a Red Sox pitchers pitch. Ended up being a strike too, but didn't count
Jomboy gets likes faster than a bikini pic on Instagram. Posted 4 seconds ago and 69 likes.
I love Soto immediately walking away on that strike three though, he knew before it was even called
Archie Bradley is just not someone I’d mess with while he’s on the bump 🤷♂️
Dudes a badass
1:30 best explanation of that 👍
I ain’t never smelled burnt wood but now I want to.
you’ve never been by a fire pit?
@@afrogum9988 or a fireplace?
“… sniffs the bat cause that’s some burnt wood, that smells gooooood” got me crying
shot clock can't get here fast enough. i'm so tired of batters having to adjust and re-adjust themselves for 40 seconds between EACH pitch.
These quick clips are better than any bs on ESPN
The players should come to a gentleman’s agreement about time outside the box, and if not the league need to make rules. It’s not needed and makes the game so so much longer to watch
Soto is far from a gentleman. He's a dunce.
Can they also come to an agreement to not quick pitch. Both of these dudes are asshats. Bradley immediately pitches the second anyone puts one foot in the box and can never get settled. I would do what soto did every time to him.
Yet another absolutely hilarious video
Manfred needs to cut down time the hitters have to get into the box, this is what really slows the game down; stop fucking pitchers over constantly with rule changes
Automatic strike if the batter isn't in the box after 10 seconds from when the pitcher receives the ball back from the catcher. That would solve the problem
@@aarondawson655 that would destroy the career of any caliber of starting pitcher after about 5 seasons of play. There’s a reason most starters take it slower than relievers or closers
Bradley's delivery in reverse looked like he's EXTREMELY adjusting his cup
why isn’t jomboy doing these videos on the dodger they have been making new lately, would be a great video ....
Soto isn’t going to be able to do this any longer
That’s some Angel Hernandez level umpiring right there
Love the Phillies content
