Great review! Having been on MANY boomerangs over the years (including this one when it used to be Sidewinder, which was my FIRST boomerang when I rode it in 1995), riding this anew this summer was much more comfortable than any other. Being over 40, it still shook my brain up a little on the cobra roll, which means no multiple rides for us, BUT going backwards through the vertical loop is still the best part of the ride. And the jolly rancher smells they pumped into the tunnel which we smelled going backwards. Those new restraints though are heaven sent!
The only boomerang I've ridden has been Flying Cobras, which I happen to like a lot. I ride it pretty often, most recently last weekend --- and I've never had an uncomfortable or unsatisfying ride on it. The initial drop always makes my stomach drop, which I like a lot. The inversions are fun and very disorienting, which I like a lot as well -- and going backwards through the inversions is my favorite part of the ride. As someone who loves intense, aggressive and relentless roller coasters most, I still find Flying Cobras to be a very fun and fulfilling ride even with it not being intense, aggressive and relentless (although the vertical loop does have a good dose of powerful forces to it). I'm planning to go to Hershey Park in the early fall, and I'm looking forward to riding Jolly Rancher Remix since the ride experience is very similar to Flying Cobras' (but with those added audio and visual effects).

Missed out on jolly rancher on my trip, only had one day and it wad packed. Looked very boomerangish... I have been on several (including flying cobras) so figured it was a lower priority. Will definitely pick up the credit next time I am at Hersheypark!
It's certainly not a must do, but sure is a fun time at night.

I havent been on a boomerang. Flying Cobras was closed on both of my recent Carowinds visits and when I went to Hersheypark this summer, I decided to prioritize other coasters above this one. Ill get my first boomerang credit eventually. Hah
