Can we talk about how every single character in this film is beyond amazing in their own way? Come on, even the messenger duck has more personality than I do.
The duck messenger’s character purpose is to mainly inform the audience on how terrifying Tai-Lung is. His concern about the safety of the prison and being hesitant to get close to him is basically telling people watching that this leopard should be genuinely feared.
The nerve punch not working is actually foreshadowed earlier in the movie when they’re trying to do the acupuncture on Poe but they don’t know where his nerves are so they’re just guessing. You can actually see that that guide they use is for a tiger and someone just painted a panda over top of it
True. Something that I've always wondered is, even though Tai Lung said "Shifu taught you well, but he didn't teach you everything", what if Shifu has been training Mantis to apply the nerve punch to Tai Lung? Because when The Furious Five fought him, Mantis was left behind to hold the bridge, hence the final blow couldn't be delivered. That would make sense why we don't see Mantis reacting in shock after Tai Lung neutralizes Monkey (at 18:20 in this video). He has insider info!
One thing that I don't see in the comments is about the choices of the Furious Five. They are based in styles of Kung Fu fighting. Tiger style, monkey style, etc. Even Tai Lung is using leopard style. The only one that doesn't have representation is Dragon style... Hence, the dragon warrior, but Po doesn't use Dragon style because he's a panda and there is no Panda style (yet)
Fun fact: the wuxi finger hold was actually something that wasn't thought possible and was just a bluff used by masters to scare their students but Po somehow did it still and shifu doesn't understand how. And what it does is It sends the person the hold is used on to this like spirit type realm outside of the physical world.
When Tai Lung was like "the Wuxi finger hold?!" He looked so scared that he looked like a scared cute little kitten 😂 Legit tho, how the heck did Po figure it out 👀
It also could kinda mean he’s also saying he knows he hasn’t been fully trained, that he’s got more to learn. “When you have been trained, you may eat.”
@@nkbujvytcygvujno6006 it could but the way he’s smiling saying that he’s not hungry. And shifu gives him the look like go ahead NOW you have been trained
The "I'm not hungry" line was a two-fold metaphor. Po called back to the fact that he eats when he's upset, therefore saying "I'm not upset". But Shifu also said "When you have been trained, you may eat", so Po, at with that same line also said "I'm not done training" or "I want to train more".
The Kung Fu Panda trilogy is in my opinion better than How To Train Your Dragon. Regardless, they are two of the best franchises Dreamworks has put out, along with Shrek and Prince of Egypt (which I think you should react to).
Kung Fu Panda and Kung Fu Panda 2 are equal in quality to the three HTTYD movies. And by that I mean that they're great. They have emotion, action and frankly beautiful animation through and through.
They're both great, but i think the HTTYD franchise is better though. This is pretty well indicated by my ranking of those movies, which goes: 6. Kung Fu Panda 3 5. HTTYD 2 4. Kung Fu Panda 1 3. Kung Fu Panda 2 2. HTTYD 3 1. HTTYD 1 The Kung Fu Panda movies are better connected to each other, but the HTTYD movies are still better. But that's just my opinion of course
Okay. A minor detail I feel worth pointing out. Tortoises love peaches. In keeping with the lesson, there was nothing special about the Sacred Peach Tree of Heavenly Wisdom. It was just a tree, that happened to bear a fruit Oogway liked to eat. And Oogway thus probably chose to meditate under it so that, should hunger disturb his meditation, his favorite snack was right on hand. That's it. That's all that was special about the tree. It didn't magically grant wisdom to him, it's just where he sat and thought about things while eating peaches. It's why he wasn't at all mad at Po for eating the peaches. He was probably even glad someone would enjoy the peaches after he was gone instead of just roping the place off as 'taboo' and 'sacred' and letting all those tasty treats rot on the ground. This method of thinking, and understanding of how Oogway thinks, puts the Birthplace of Kung Fu in a new light as well, because... as much as Shifu insists 'you don't wash your pits in the Pool of Sacred Tears', this is probably precisely the reason Oogway chose that spot. So that he could train hard on the bare earth, drink and wash himself after in the cool water, and then rest comfortably on the soft grass when he was done. There was nothing special about that spot, except all three of those practical needs were met. It was just as good a spot as any to do it, a practical place to develop his art free of distraction. Oogway made those spots special by deciding they had what he needed. Just like the Dragon Warrior has everything he needs already, and just needs to understand that. The fight with Tai Lung is masterful. Po knew Tai Lung wouldn't understand the Scroll even if he got it. He also knew that if Tai Lung focused on HIM, at his level of Kung Fu, he'd be dead in seconds. And He knew further... that Tai Lung was OBSESSED with the Scroll. Po had total control of that fight the moment he showed Tai Lung the Scroll, because Tai Lung from that moment, was NOT fighting Po, he was just trying to get the Scroll. Allowing the much lesser fighter, Po, to wear Tai Lung down through a combination of exhaustion and cumulative damage by attrition until Tai Lung was so exhausted and beat down he could barely muster Kung Fu at Po's level... after which Po lets him HAVE the scroll and get the emotional blow that he doesn't get it's lesson, and from there, pound Tai Lung Flat with his own basic skills because Tai Lung is too exhausted, battered, and emotionally distracted to effect a defense. He uses knowledge of his opponent to bring an absolute grandmaster down to less than his level and then finish him off with basic barebones kung-fu, culminating in a master-level move that Po more or less worked out after having it used on him ONCE.
That poignant imagery of Tai Lung opening the scroll to see his reflection, and say "It's NOTHING!" is a brilliant piece of storytelling, and yes, he killed Tai Lung. XD

Actually, his dad acting like nothing happened is probably the best thing he could've done right there. Typically when someone gets a crazy idea in their head and their parents disapprove, and it doesn't work out like they hoped, the parent tends to rub it in. Him not saying anything to me was him saying, "I may have been right, but I'm not gonna make you feel bad about it."
I remember originally thinking this movie was going to stupid and a joke and this was an adult just immediately dismissed it for a few years boy did I feel so stupid after I watched it for the first time on a whim and was completely blown away by the animation and fights.
The word Bodacious is a portmanteau of Bold and Audacious...if I remember correctly, it was first used, or at the very least made popular, by Bill and Ted's Excellent Journey
When Po says he isn't hungry it's a reference to when Oogway pointed out that Po eats when he's upset. Which he does throughout the movie (hence him eating all the food in the pantry after "failing" to be the dragon warrior.) So when he doesn't eat after the training it's because he's not upset. Also shifu said he was to eat after his training was finished, and since shifu, himself is not even close to being at the level of Oogway it means that Po had exponentially much more training to do before he is fully trained. Sorry about the rant I just love this movie.
I hope you picked up on just how tragic a villain Tai-Lung is. Yes, he did horrible things and he paid for them, but he was not born that way. From the moment he began training, Shifu filled his head with dreams; telling him he was destined for greatness and to be the Dragon Warrior. He trained his whole life and gave 100% effort in an attempt to make his master/father proud of him and to fulfil the so-called “destiny” that Shifu convinced him was his. This is not to say this is Shifu’s fault entirely. He was blinded by his love for and his pride in Tai-Lung. He did not see that he was raising an arrogant man who would not be satisfied until his goals were met. Perhaps, if Shifu didn’t raise him in such a way, he would actually have had the humility to become the Dragon Warrior. Wonderful reaction, mate
Many people criticize Oogway saying he didn't choose tai lung just cuz he wanted a panda to be dragon warrior cuz they saved him. And maybe tai lung wouldnt have understood the message of the scroll or just go on an outburst anyway training so hard til u bleed sweat over a message saying u just gotta be u. If shifu taught tai more humility than maybe he would've been good.

The Wuxi Finger Hold sends the target on a one-way trip to the afterlife. That's why Po was so afraid of it at the start.
When Tai lung says "I heard he fell from the sky on a ball of fire, and he is a warrior the likesof which no one has ever seeen." Technically, he's not wrong...
Finding myself binge watching this channel every morning with my coffee
I can't spoil anything about why Po's dad is a goose, all I am able to say that is pretty obvious without spoiling anything is, mr. Ping adopted Po.
Note: in case you didn't know mr. Ping is actually the goose dad that adopted Po
In the second and third film they focus on what happened to po when he was a child
You're wondering who Poas mom is you'll have to watch the third Kung Fu Panda movie for that to be answered.
...second?
It's the second movie where we know about Po's family.
Tai Lung didn't die, Po sent him to the spirit realm. Also the Wuxi finger hold was never real, it was just used as a method to motivate students, so Po invented a new form of Kung Fu essentially.
Wait....wah?
He did go to the spirit realm but he also did die because the spirit realm is where dead masters go and he could still return to the mortal realm as a spiritual form, like kai was a spiritual form when he came back.

It sends just sends you there. Po used the hold on himself and came back alive.
It sends you there and you are alive there. Being there so long you eventually die and become a spirit warrior like kai.
@@AngraMango No Tai Lung is still dead just because he still exists in the spirit realm and Genral Kai took Tai Lungs chi does not mean he is alive he is still dead because you have to remember the spirit realm is the afterlife it is where dead masters go so unfortunately Tai Lung is dead
@@sonywada1120the spirit realm is where you go when you die but the wuxi-hold didn’t kill you, it’ll just teleport you to the afterlife which is what happened to Kai
I love how this man makes every second of this video entertaining
Yo
Guess what
Adoption is a thing that exists
LMAO 🤣
After you finish the Kungfu Panda series I suggest with the Ice age movies or the Jumanji movies. The newer Jumanji movies have Jack Black in it.
Nice suggestions
If he watched Jumanji he'd have to watch the OG one first tho
when he said he’s moving like a plumber i couldn’t stop laughing
I find it funny that the most powerful Kung fu master is a turtle. A very wise turtle.
lol love how everyone forgets that adoption is a thing when they see po and his dad
23:16 It's a call back to when Mantis was giving him acupuncture. He's to fat for him to find his nerves. That's what those attacks were, he was hitting their nerves to paralyze them.
It’s strangely enjoyable to watch someone experience this masterpiece for the first time
I realize watching the prison escape scene again that they did the classic "You cause the prediction to happen by trying to physically prevent it from happening" cliche. And I ducking love it
Rival: "I don't know who Dustin Hoffman is"
Me: _(screams until head explodes)_
Dead honest, this is the funniest reaction of Kung fu Panda I've seen 😂
“ 1000 likes keeps me watered”
I liked it ;)
Best part of this movie is it giving hints of po fighting skills before he was trained. Like him running away. He ran so fast and so quietly that no one saw him leave lol. Also the fact he can take hits.
2:43 bruh dude you deserve more subs:)
I also recently watched all three movies of KFP because of the same reason as the animation was so fking good . It started from one clip from YT and I had to watched the whole movie and my god is kung fu panda is a masterpiece
I'm literally doing a marathon on your Harrold Potter reaction and saw the notif. for this ❤️
This is amazing 😭 enjoy
My fav moment is always when po open the secret scroll and scream and then said "it's blank", i remember when i first time watch that scene.. I'm dyin', bro🤣💀
That dust was the remains of Tai Lung. Don't mess around with the Wuxi finger hold.
Great reaction! I loved it! Much appreciated, looking forward to more in the future!
"It makes you go number 2?!?!" 🤣🤣🤣 Ive never heard that before.
KFP 2 IS BEAUTIFUL
i have no idea how i WASN’T subscribed already, since i absolutely love your videos!! i just subscribed today to make up for it! 💗
Things you love to see 😭
6 min in and I still cant believe adoption being reason why Po's dad is a goose never occured to you XD
Great reaction Rival. i love when you said 'nevermind... you are good' not realising he is one of the strongest kung fu teachers. haha lol 5:08
17:30 That line, "I'm not hungry," is a callback to what Oogway said to Po. "You eat when you are upset."
"Master shifu". yo this dude called "master master"
I love your content man, earned a subscriber
Thanks!
The Scroll was reflective. The True Secret to Strength is that you already possess it.
I rewatched this movie a few months ago, i was surprised at how good it was for the time of its production
Movie recommendation: Home
It’s really good, one of my families favorite ‘recent’ movies
Oh! Have you seen Maleficent? It’s an amazing movie
8:03 Who can explain to me..... how po’s dad just opened the door?? So he was able to open it before
maybe it was one of those push..not pull..or vice versa, type doors lol
The true animated movie masterpiece
Kung Fu Panda is absolutely amazing. That`s all i need to say >-
po is actually my favourite character in kung fu panda hes actually kinda funny and clumsy too.
Him not realizing that Po was adopted was funny
"Why is he me?" I ask myself that same question on a daily basis...
Shifu is the RED PANDA animal if anyone is wondering, ironic right?
I really can't wait for your Kung fu panda 2 react. It's one of my all time favorite kids films
17:29 He's not hungry, because he only eats when he's upset. :D
This trilogy keeps getting better. And the music is amazing!
Master Shifu is not a rodent. He is a panda too. A rare Chinese panda I think.
- But a peach cannot defeat Tai Lung!!
- Hehe.. The peach CAN stop him... :)
- What?! B-but Master-
- You don't know even half as much about peaches as the dragon warrior...
There was a end credits scene where Po and Shifu were eating together on a quiet moutain.
"Lift that pinky" best funny reaction yet. If you like this. I suggest watching the short movie about how the Furious 5 came to be. Can't wait for the other 2 movies
Po eats when he is upset, so at 17:30 he doesn’t want to eat because he isn’t upset because he is succeeding and shifu is acknowledging his talent
Somehow the intro hyped me for the rest of the movies
Just found the channel, loving it already
the funny thing is Master Shifu is making fun of Po being a panda when in fact he too himself is Red Panda
i think master sifu is actually a red panda! so that's cool
Yes !!! I have been waiting for this reaction ✨✨✨
Can't wait for kung fu panda 2 and 3
Actually, his dad acting like nothing happened is probably the best thing he could've done right there.
"We get it you're a tiger; Rawr, and all that, but, . ."
Me: Rawr? Lol, yeah, sure, why not?
13:44 when your master/sensei asks you to demo a split kick you demo a split kick
There's a backstory prequel tv movie that shows the back stories of the Furious Five. It's really good. You may like it.
The word Bodacious is a portmanteau of Bold and Audacious...if I remember correctly, it was first used, or at the very least made popular, by Bill and Ted's Excellent Journey
"Why is he me?" LOL.
when I watched Hiccup in How To Train Your Dragon, that was me!
When shifu snatch away the first bun, slow it down and watch frame by frame.
4th wall incomming.
I completely missed this until just now:
Fireworks are also called Dragon's Breath.
sounds like one of those late night commercials with the skinny kids. in the arms of an angel. gimme water
Master Shifu is not a rodent, he is a red panda.
@@AngraMango Shifu taught him that it was absolutely guaranteed and his right to get the scroll
Ironically, that certainty is what prevented him from obtaining it
