    Hope you guys enjoyed this! It took 76 hours to edit and I'm just happy to finally share one of the best experiences I've ever had.
    I still have a ton of footage left over, so let me know if you'd be interested in seeing more detailed ~30min episodes of each part of the whole ride! In any case, thanks a lot for watching.

      Aaron, please do! Please share as much as you can. I’m a newbie rider who drives a custom CT100 to work and some occasional “long ride”. But ever since I saw Zach’s trip to Khardung La, I knew that I wanted to ride forever. Khardung La is still a long way to go for me, but seeing the journey through the lenses of people like you drives me to work harder everyday. Thank you for existing.

      @@LumangTaoMotoI’m so happy to hear that bro. I know one day soon you’ll be able to visit! Aside from budget, solid fundamentals ng riding lang kailangan.

    I want to experience this at least once. Was breathing an issue when you're at 5,000 meters altitude?

    • @Ride_XP
      @Ride_XP  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Yeah, tbh the altitude is pretty challenging. It's not really so much shortness of breath as it just feeling tired, groggy, sometimes dizzy, and just not being able to focus on things very well. But totally manageable and definitely worth it!

    • @startupcapital4266
      @startupcapital4266 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can purchase compact oxygen cylinder at medical shops in Leh before travelling to high altitude. It is created specifically for those who are not acclimatised to the conditions. It helps in taking away altitude sickness.

    Great travel log, you did some great rides! Did you get any video of the Camels at Hunder? I am impressed that they allowed you to come out from Pangong to Chushul. They didn't allow me to ride it. The road through Spiti valley really nice, but parts are really technical. For your next trip, you should ride from Manali to Leh! It is a fantastic ride.

    • @Ride_XP
      @Ride_XP  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      What's funny and sad is that we arrived just when the camels were on break! We were supposed to come back an hour later but after landing at camp no one had the will to gear back up anymore, haha.
      Oddly I don't recall encountering any checkpoints coming through Chushul!
      Spiti Valley and Manali are definitely on my list! Along with the route in Zanskar that Itchy Boots just posted a video about. Such a wonderful place to ride, hard to beat.

    If you ever come in india again then visit Uttarakhand , india . There is char dham yatra [four holy places ] that will take 10 -12 days to complete even more but you will enjoy more than Ladakh tour , roads are very very good , greenery is just fantastic it’s like Switzerland of India . Ladakh is desert but Uttarakhand isn’t and it is mountainous region and very very good people . There is 3 prominent trek also , if you have time then go for it also .

    • @Ride_XP

      It was difficult! It was a combination of acclimatization, medicine, and having to take things very slowly. No big efforts at the highest altitudes. Descending as soon as possible was also essential.

    You've had the unique experience of riding multiple different himalayans at this point, in your opinion, has the level of quality been consistent on them? Or have you ridden one that seemed to have quirks when another bike didn't?

    • @Ride_XP
      @Ride_XP  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This is a great question. I think the main difference can be felt between the old, carbureted Himalayans and the new fuel-injected ones. The old ones definitely feel a lot rougher around the edges and the rear shocks tend to sink, because I can flat foot old Himalayans, but new ones I can't.
      As far as quality control is concerned, it's honestly hard to tell because rental bikes have seen so much punishment. One of the things that suffers the most in my perspective is the stability, but probably nothing a proper wheel balancing can't fix unless the frame is found to be bent I guess. But from my own subjective experience, the overall ride character is consistent between same generation Himalayans.

      If purchasing an old Himalayan, I'd definitely ask the service history of the steering head bearings. Usually these need replacement every 10,000kms, that's just how it is.
